- "Adventure Bag" couldn't be more spot one with this bag. You'd be hard pressed to find a more versatile bag. Although not ideal for a day hike, it handled it great. Maxpedition hit a home run, this bag has been a delight to travel with. I have always been more of a "backpack" type of guy but as I get older the the collage transient look is fading, and a more slick, professional look is emerging. I implore you to give this bag or its little brother a look.

Thanks for the look beast. Looking at a lumbar pack from maxpedition right now. Cool pack no doubt.
Excellent! Looking forward to seeing how it works out for you sir!
Great video. I have been considering this bag as a replacement for my current "out of county bag,"/ go bag, that I keep on the engine, for a while now. Its about the same size as my current bag but has way nicer pocket and dividing options.
very nice. I think this bag would serve well for a load out that i will be needing here in the near future. I know very little about wild land firefighting so I would be interested in your load out when you re pack you bag. Take care and be safe out there!
awesome job man! lets see what you throw in your go bag!!!!
Flieger is German for "flyer" so "FliegerDuffel" is basically a duffel for flying - and the FliegerDuffel is good for FAA standards. Doppel is German for double indicating the immense size (3200 cu in.) of the bag (and the fact it has 2x the capacity of the smallest Maxpedition Duffel).
1:18 you crack me up : )
I've seen a few bags that miss out on a bladder hanger while having a sleeve. I've had to sew a hanger or two on some REI packs.
great looking bag, thanks for the review.
Good review and very cool bag. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing, I've been looking at this bag for a long time. Your valued opinion is always appreciated. Hell yeah I wanna see what you put in the load out for fighting wild fire. Take care
@TacScaper1904 thanks, will do
@Backpackfanatic keep us in the loop :)
@Backpackfanatic nice, did you order it?
@MichiganTNP true enough
@markshmily oh yeah
Just ordered this for a motorcycle tailrack/camping pack. I haven't gotten my hands on it yet. A concept I am playing with is if there is a method for securing some kind of frame to the backpack strap system. Has anyone seen an aftermarket application like that or have tips on how to rig something either inside the bladder compartment or otherwise?
Im sure its doable
Red Rock Outdoor Gear makes a knock off just like this for $99. I thought about picking one up, but didn't because I know I'm gonna regret not buying the real thing. I still think this bag is slightly over priced, but sooner or later Maxpedition will get my money.
@0122358 their website shows it at 180 but Iv seen it at 120 on the interwebs
@beast12101 No, not yet, money is still hard at the moment. But I will as soon as the paycheck allows.
Great review well covered.
@fierfox121 nope, we're a low budget crew ;)
beast have you thought of attaching a maxpedition or 5.11 slingpack or backpack to this pack? I love the color, it looks better than the 5.11 sandstone. I think I'm gonna buy both the bags you have
great video yes please do a loud-out for fire fighting vid would be very interesting
is the flueger duffel made in Germany? I'm lookin for something that I can handle clothes and stuff for a 7 day trip maybe 10. what do you think buddy? And I can't carry this on the airplane overhead compartment?
Great review bro!
Nice looking bag.
Did you have a good trip?
@mrmonkeyman50 thanks
@TheAbuhmann Thank you! Hate the whole "first(loser)" thing.
How much does a bag like that cost? Nice vid by the way as always!
I'm considering this as a big rucksack for camping. Do you think you'd get a regular sleeping in one of the 3 parts of the main compartment?
depends on the size
@beast12101 whats funny is that after i posted my comment i opened the description and noticed the link lol
they have some nice gear but seeing as where its made I wouldnt pay what they ask fpr their products
Did you use this as a carry on? I understand the smallerversion is FAA approved but ive heard of people using bigger bags. i havent flown anywhere within 10 years so i am clueless as to what you are suppose to do and what people do anyways
I did on one trip and had no issues, my last few travels I just used the noatak and checked everything else due to more connections and distance i was traveling
SilfortyElement I have used mine as a carry on bag about a dozen times now on both Southwest and Delta and never had any issues with it fitting. In fact it seems to fit in the overhead better then most of the rollerbags people try and carry on. The backpack straps are amazing to maneuver through the airport and security with ease. I can easily carry enough comfortably for about a 3 day trip, maybe 4 days if I have the luxury of packing light.
I've noticed nobody actually uses the molle kn the Maxpedition bag.
@fierfox121 definitely, you should do a vid as well :)
is this a good bag for road and world travel???
do you recommend this for carrying martial arts equipment and for the airport
sure

hey beast...how much was this bag?
nice vid
Saw a knockoff of this at Sportsmans guide website for 70 bucks. they are listed under military bags.
You should've worn it. Still a good review, though.
Maxpedition Fliegerduffel Adventure Bag. . . Beast its German..you need to pronounce the E more, like FleegerDuffel (Fliegen=To Fly) ;) Great Vids as always!! Oh yeah Doppel means Double in German ;) Get Arny to pronounce it ;)
..
Cool! FYI it's pronounced 'fleeeegerduffel'
