Great video! Can’t wait to test this new Gradient Correction feature in Pixinsight!
Thank you so much! It works good for most situations with the defaults. But first thing to change is the scale settings as i did in the second part of the tests at 2 and 0.2 i found work very good with more difficult gradients
GraxPers does not work when you dont crop out the stacking border artefacts !!!!!!!
So this "comparison" video is for nothing. Thumb down.
The tests were made on the same images so the results are accurate. Your statement is false!!! Graxpert works even if you do not crop borders, but not all the time, sometimes does fail if you do not crop, but same it is with the New gradient tool. It can perform better sometimes when you crop, but testing this croped vs no cropped New gradient correction performed better. Testing this again on the same images most of the tests gave the same result exept the flaming star nebula where Graxpert performed much better after cropping, but so did the pi gradient tool. After testing this again i can still say the same about the new Pixisnight tool, that overall is better. And regarding cropping, sometimes you do not want to crop you want a wider image as possible, then having good results even with some small stacking borders visible is a plus, and personaly i prefer to crop only if i need to.
Very good tutorial, well explained!
Thank you dear 🥰
