Greetings Sascha, Firstly, thank you for all the effort you put into the videos you create for us. Second, when GC was released with the recent update I had a hard time finding examples on how to use the tool. Then during my research your video dropped! The information you provided may not be complete, but should it? You were able to shine a light on this mysterious new gadget and that was enough to get me comfortable enough to start experimenting. Please do not stop uploading, we all appreciate your hard work. Clear Skies
If you watch the official Picks insight videos on the new gradient tool, you do occasionally need to use background neutralization, because DBE has background neutralization built into it
Yes, heard that a lot. There are two problems with that: A) I don't know if that would be feasible B) The PixInsight guys never ever cared what users thought would be nice.... 🤣
For Mac, you have to delete it - it says so. My understanding was also that for Windows it was not needed, but in my last video I mentioned that someone corrected me that it would also be required in Windows - so I was a bit more careful this time as I don't know for sure as a Mac user....

Sascha, your videos are so helpful and spot-on - thank you! Love the background, I keep looking for Harry P or one of the owls.

Not sure about Mac, but PI installer for Windows deletes old version before installing the latest. No need to uninstall.

Sascha: Where's the Mouse?
Do you know that I have two cats? ;-)
Nice video my Lord 😂
Well, the castle was much cheaper than doing astrophotography…. 😁
