You have so much to hear from Angelina. I will warn you that the rabbit hole is deep with her, so if you choose to enter, you will not emerge the same. Angelina's ability to interpret and deliver the emotion of a song is unmatched, and well beyond her years. And incredibly, Angelina may well be a better person than she is an artist. She is a true phenomena.

I have even read people commenting that she is sometimes not keeping up with the tempo of her songs.. Can you believe that.. What she often does is called back phrasing. She is timing her words perfectly to get that effect. I know no other singers who does that to the extent and perfection Angelina does it. Not nervous. She never is. Comes from massive confidence. English is her third language, so she was doing OK at 8 years old. Besides, she was probably wondering why the interviewer was treating her like a child, and asking her questions she already knew the answers to :-)

You are correct that her voice is so different. I've heard a lot of voices in my lifetime, and her voice is unlike anything I have ever heard. You definitely need to check out some of her Amy covers. I know you are going to get lots of requests, but that cover channel you were looking at at the end..... that's all gold.. 100% of it. Literally pick any video on her cover channel and you are going to be impressed. (take note that some of the newest ones are very short, and you might want to combine them)

Great reaction, again. :) Just heard (through her uncle in a Norwegian industry mag) that she signed on August 11 with Republic Records, a label owned by Universal Music Group. If you’ve heard of Taylor Swift and Drake, you know Republic’s work. They are actually one if UMG’s smaller labels and I think they are a perfect match for her. Her uncle has done a terrific job. Her career is about to go ballistic (except I think the launch may be delayed by Covid-19 since it would make sense to wait until she can tour to follow up an album). All that to say, your enthusiasm about her talent shows that you totally get it. She has a big following now but a drop in the bucket of what is to come. We are privileged. It’s like we are all gathered at Cape Canaveral to watch the launch of the first manned mission to musical nirvana (lowercase “n”, lol). Meanwhile the rest of the music fan world is mesmerized by the floral patterns on their wallpaper. 😂

They are actually a relatively small label but being affiliated with Universal they are obviously powerful as well. Angelina has said in interviews that singing is like breathing to her and she does not get nervous at all singing whether on a stage with 40,000 people or in a TV with millions watching her,, how ever when it comes to talking or interviews she does get nervous

Not that it matter much, but I don't think she seems _nervous_ during the interview. Maybe a bit shy and embarrassed, but not nervous. Whatever it is, it all disappears as she starts singing - she enters the world of music and brings us along for the ride.

The only live version I have heard from this song was in Vienna maybe 1993 from Elton John live, and it was very emotional, tribute to Freddie. Angelina cannot accomplish that, however, I am in tears with most of her songs, not sure why....there is sth in ger voice and personality, in the way she retells most lyrics, that gets me again and again :-)
Angelina was 8 here. Contrary to popular belief Frank Sinatra was not the first to record this. Kay Ballard released the first on a 45 rpm and Johnny Mathis added it to his song set. But Julie London's jazzy version is what Angelina is most like. Both Kay and Julie's versions are worth reviewing. Good reaction.
Angelina is the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina wrote and her Grandmother illustrated a book about why she sings barefoot. She was on a trip to Iran where her grandmother is from and met a street girl weighing people for money. Angelina sat and talk with the girl. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, a Doctor but that it could never happen. Angelina told her to never give up hope. The girl complimented Angelina on her shoes and Angelina noticed her scarred bare feet so she gave them to her, and the little girl told Angelina she would pray for her every day. Angelina sings barefoot to this day to remind the world that there are still children in need. All proceeds go to charity.

She started singing jazz at 1-1/2. How is that even possible......but it's true. Gloomy Sunday by Billie Holiday when she was 7 is so similar to Billie's version, it has you believing in reincarnation.
What do you you think of her diction? English is her third language acquisition and she speaks it like if it would be her mother language. Notice, when she sings, at 12 years old, her cover of James Brown' It Is A Man's World how she pronounces some words and expressions to give the proper color and life to the song. Make sure, then, that you will have in hand or on the screen the lyrics of the song for a fair reaction of her vocal art. Basically, you're right about the Amy Winehouse vibe. But when you have listened to here some more, you will realize that she also has the vibe of Ella, Etta, Adele, Lana, Patsy, and even Elvis. She can morph into whatever vibe she wants, and whatever genre she is singing. She is the most versatile singer on the planet. And yet, she is distinctively Angelina. The only live version I have heard from this song was in Vienna maybe 1993 from Elton John live, and it was very emotional, tribute to Freddie. Angelina cannot accomplish that, however, I am in tears with most of her songs, not sure why....there is sth in ger voice and personality, in the way she retells most lyrics, that gets me again and again :-)

Angelina was 8 here. Contrary to popular belief Frank Sinatra was not the first to record this. Kay Ballard released the first on a 45 rpm and Johnny Mathis added it to his song set. But Julie London's jazzy version is what Angelina is most like. Both Kay and Julie's versions are worth reviewing. Good reaction.

Angelina is the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina wrote and her Grandmother illustrated a book about why she sings barefoot. She was on a trip to Iran where her grandmother is from and met a street girl weighing people for money. Angelina sat and talk with the girl. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, a Doctor but that it could never happen. Angelina told her to never give up hope. The girl complimented Angelina on her shoes and Angelina noticed her scarred bare feet so she gave them to her, and the little girl told Angelina she would pray for her every day. Angelina sings barefoot to this day to remind the world that there are still children in need. All proceeds go to charity.
