i made a presentation for school about this and other sasaeng cases. Since my class isnt into kpop (first they all laughted when they understood its presentation abt kpop) but i wont forget how quickly they all shutted up when heard that case (and it was the first one in presentation). In one minute their faces went from laughing to literally scared. And my teacher's reaction was hilarous, she starred terryfied at screen for entire lesson. This kinda proofs how bad sasaengs are. A bunch of nonkpop fans (almost all 17-18) and adult getting unironically terryfied. And now imagine how scared the victims of sasaengs are, esp Yunho. You can not tell me that anything related to sasaengs is good in even 1%. These people really have to stop, they have 0 ideas how much they are hurting idols. Idol ≠ doll. They are living people, sasaengs have to understand that they are doing something wrong

That's 1 in 500 people, which isn't really a tough number to run into as a celebrity. While the number of people who'd act on those delusions would be much lower, I'd say no thank you if I'd ever have the chance to be an up and coming popstar just for that alone.

Also i remember a clip i watched back in time where the members were in some traditional looking house or something similar and it showed suho with his manager , he was doing some exercises and when he layed on the floor looking upwards he saw a camera in the roof and immediately told his manager and visibily looked shocked ... If someone else has seen it do share the link... i very vaguely remember it

I always thought it would be cool to have fans until I learned about these types of fans who cross the line and could really make your life a living hell.

Ah yes. Josh1994. Nayeon's well-known stalker. Anyone who's seen Evangeline Pang's interview with him knows the dude is beyond delusional. Chaeyoung was abnormally diplomatic after he got her phone number telling fans to not do that, but Jeongyeon ("Nayeon's Husband") had ZERO f'ks to give and all but said she'd throw down if she sees him.
Hopefully one day Josh and the other sasaengs find themselves in the OTHER Korea…

I know someone personally who talks about an idol as if they’re good friends. She’s in her mid 40’s. She talks about him as if they were dating and is clearly in love with him. She honestly thinks he’ll marry her.

I'm not a sasange fan, but 3 years years ago that change. After my break up with my toxic online boyfriend, my sister made up a rumor that I would threaten to k*ll Jung Kook if he rejected my feelings for him. And what made the rumor worse is that her friends allowed her to spread the rumor and she told everyone she knew about my love for Jung Kook. I was labeled "obsessebly crazy" for the next 2 years. Then this past August, my sister revealed something that made my blood boil. My sister told me that the rumor she made up about my love for Jung Kook was just because I couldn't stop talking about my love for BTS. She didn't even apologize for it. That rumor fucked me up mentally, and to this day I still remember it really well. Even though the truth came out, the damage was already done. This has got to be the worst thing that's ever happen to me as a K-pop fan, and I still can't forgive my sister for causing me this much pain. I may love BTS as a fan, but that doesn't mean I'm dangerously obsessed with them.

In my first comment I very clearly said sassangs and in my second I didn’t even refer to fans at all and was exclusively talking about stalkers. That was kind of the whole point of my comment, which is that Korean entertainment companies put these stalkers in the same category as fans because they buy merch, rather than acknowledging the danger they pose and taking steps to protect the idols. Not every fan is a stalker. In fact, most fans are quite respectful. But the ones that aren’t should be dealt with, and the entertainment companies should be held responsible for not taking proper steps to protect their artists.

I got to the bottom of things with Josh. He - and this is why I think he has autism - took something she said literally and misunderstood that she was talking generally, not specifiically. A few years ago she said publicly that she wanted a boyfriend and for him to come quickly. Josh thought that she meant it literally and 'volunteered'. Everything after that is history - he didn't understand that she didn't actually want him so twisted everything in his mind to fit his own desires.
You just said what I was thinking! Its clear he's got some mental disorder and autism was one of those I suspected. Based on his behavior and thoughts here are some disorder I believe he's has.
Erotomania - A type of Schizophrenia where you think someone (Usually in higher status) is in love with you but they're not.
Autism - In this cases he has a bit of social anxiety and take thing too seriously to fit in his own desire.
Bipolar - Shift in moods especially anything you disagree on him then he'll get irritated and bash out even if its just a calm disagreement.
Narcissism - Says he's better than celebrities and how he's a supposed scientist while he can be just as famous as Justin Bieber. Also lacking accountability such as leaking Chaeyoung number saying "Its not my fault a bunch of kids harrsed you" and he not spending the money but Nayeon is because she didn't tell him to stop. Finally saying if he's rejected then Nayeon has to pay everything back to him and if she doesn't then he'll have to kill her.... his words not mine.
I really hope he's in a psych ward cause he's not just a danger to himself but to others especially any future girls he may have an interest in the future
