8:29 I wont agree completely because yes rose is doing welll but tbh only her song apt is doing well globally and can compete with western artists but her other tracks are doing mid
As a staynevie, i love my self producing idols and i really liked their music this year(wife made me an idle stan!), but i can agree that they are overworked. skz having 3 comebacks within 6 months and 2 within a month, and soyeon producing and directing for other groups as well. B/c of her solo album Yuqi had 3 comebacks in the first half of 2024 too! They need a break but the industry is so fickle and they can only rely on themselves to maintain relevance :/ But also I feel like this year especially, skzidle's bsides are very strong! Most people don't listen to bsides, but some of my favourite skzidle songs of the year were their bsides (e.g. fate, revenge, wife, last forever, mountains, twilight, christmas love, U) Also this is kinda unpopular but I liked idle's English album Heat and skz's song Come Play for arcane, they weren't self produced but highlighted their vocals a lot more
4:37 i really agree here 4:56 yes also with this 😂 5:37 yes they are producing so much they need SO much rest 6:17 not agree though but it's your opinion.
0:42 I agree honestly. 2020-2022 was the best musically imo as a kpop fan since 2021 2:01 if jype never changed their music they’d be doing fine and still lead 4th gen
1. Yeah the music has been mid. It’s uncreative, repetitive and recycled. Apart from Aespa, BIBI and Red Velvet, no one really stood out to me anymore. 3. I think the reason why Itzy were so strong when they debuted is because they didn’t have much competition, and they were JYPs newest group. Now that they have so much competition, yeah they’ve slid down. 4. LSFRM has stable alright music to me, they used to have a really clear image but it’s kind of disappearing after Smarter/Easy. Crazy was a great era and comeback for lsfrm so I completely disagree with your opinion. 6. I don’t think red carpet looks matter. But it is the only time idols look properly formal and classy. They’re always wearing funky clothing so I think it’s a great break for them in sophisticated looks. 7. Yeah, now that they’ve ’made it’ SKZ makes flex music but it’s lowkey the time to dial it back and give a relatable, enjoyable song - all their tracks have the same repetitive idea. I was highly interested in their versatility in 2022, and their diversity in genres of their early years. Same with GIDLE, the music was more interesting pre-Tomboy. Since Tomboy blew up and they received the popularity they deserve, Gidle went down the fun, pop route instead of ‘flex’ which is a great cash grab but let’s switch it up because it’s becoming uninteresting…all leading to the pit of kpop becoming uncreative
I think Itzys style at the time of their debut was pretty fresh or not often seen at this time in kpop like when New Jeans debuted and yes, they probably had a boost because they were one of the first ggs in their generation... But what I´m saying is their old music was good and no competition wasn´t the only reason for their success in my opinion Agree with what you said about Skz and Gidle, i still love my girls and think their concepts are smart but some songs just don´t sound as good as the concept is if you know what I mean
@ oh I’m not saying their old music wasnt good! I agree it has gone downhill. And I agree that Itzy and NJ both had a similar start, both fresh and fun - and similar title track names: Dalla Dalla meaning ‘different’ and Attention. But in 2019, when Itzy debuted, no other big 3 (or 4?) label debuted a girl group. So Itzy had a couple years of being ‘leaders’, Aespa debuted late 2020 but Itzy was still considered the top. It was the period of December 2021 to July 2022, where now the most popular girl groups (IVE, NJ, LSFRM) appeared because they’re from big labels and/or had previously popular members. And it was that period where JYP decided to get experimental with Itzy’s music, which led to their downfall. Because people were confused by the switch up, and groups with clearer images were coming out. Sneakers wasnt a bad song imo, if StayC released it, it would be great!
@l0velyfl0werlmao huh? Sneakers was not a good song and promotion for that mini album was weird because the theme of the album changed in the middle. I'm assuming you are bringing up babymonster up because of the Teddy part in this video, but neither one have anything to do with each other. Teddy made on Meovv and Inza songs which their singles didn't do so well.
@@dragonninja598000not talking about the mini album at all I never listened to it. Music is subjective. Personally I wouldn’t listen to it but I know many people actually enjoy the song. Not my taste, but not the worst song I ever heard. But it’s not Itzy imo at all
I'm sorry I can't agree with you about the fact Rosé is competing with western artist, it's just apt which got viral and mainly getting streams for Bruno because her other songs from her album didn't do that well like apt (no hate to her). Jungkook is actually competing because latto isn't as big as Bruno is. Jungkook's all songs were almost equally blowing and doing well on charts.
For their english album Heat (GI)-IDLE had other producers and writers and I really liked that album and don´t understand why they can´t give themselves a break for one album to come back stronger in the next one thaat they produce again
I agree with #1 so much and it felt like I was the only one who thought this because I’ve seen so many people say this was the best year musically for kpop since 2019 ( which isn’t true at all) But overall this year was just kinda eh, I’ve been a K-pop fan since 2009 and every year there is always 5-10 releases that I absolutely adore but this year the only songs that really stuck with me after like 2 weeks were Cosmic by Red Velvet and Power by Gdragon. Sure there where a lot of releases I liked but nothing that really stood out like those 2 songs did, even from my own ults
Pretty hot take saying all music in this genre that came out last year was mid. I listen to many genres outside of kpop so maybe that's why I don't get bored of kpop maybe you would benefit from listening to something else and coming back. For me Itzy not doing well because of they are just losing fans to other girl groups. Competition now is really fierce among girl groups. The songs between Crazy in Love and Kill my doubt really killed their momentum in being a great girl group. Their singles really don't hit at all and I'm not sure if it's the songs or their popularity overall.
1:23 Baby Monster has nothing to do with Producer Teddy. The other group Black Label is working with is IZNA.

Yo but Teddy has nothing to do with Babymonster

7:59 -> girl, u cannot be serious
Teddy is a one trip pony and always has been he should have taken a rest years ago.

I agree with all your opinion except for the red carpet I love NewJeans style especially in summer SBS gayo daejeon 2024 it was so cool 💙💗💛💚💜
