Thank you! My endocrinologist highly recommends Dr. Falk for mitochondrial conditions. I've had multiple symptoms since childhood and recently had buccal swab genetic testing. Showed 5 different autosomal recessive heterozygous gene variants (BCS1L, SLC25A3, CARS2, COL6A3 and SGCA). Nothing diffinitive, but neurologist is thinking Leigh's syndrome or MELAS is possible. Been treating symptoms for years. Now almost in bed completely due to pain, severe muscle spasms, weakness, exercise intolerance, ataxia, seizures, etc. Praying for answers! 💜
Hope you get answers and treat ment that helps. I like nutrition approach. Nobody wroynd here I found nd can test for mitochondria oroblems. Any chance have one or more time antibiotics cipro, avelox, levaquin, others? They apparently can damage mito and much more. Too bad this risk wasn't figured out before prescribing by well meaning drs, causing so many chronic issues. But before multiple Black box warnings, they were considered safe and effective I'm sure.
