How do you like it? I really want to buy one but It doesn't have anyone amp modeling and I fear that it might sound fizzy unless it's being used for home recording. How does it sound live, as far as the distortions and overdrive sounds? I really want to buy one but I need an honest review. Thanks!
That was really well-done. A lot of products just need a good discussion in addition to demos. Most of the demos I've seen for the HX get so heavy-handed it's tough to sort out. Kudos guys, you were awesome on this. I'm a former AXE-FX guy, and I'm buying one TODAY from Sweetwater !
I've ordered an HX. I'm hoping to use it on stage to switch between two guitars by plugging them into the Left/Right inputs and the Left/Right outputs to each channel in my old Fender amp. I think this will work, though I will have to make sure to use mono effects only and change presets when switching guitars to compensate for the different pickups in each guitar. Thank you for the video.
Hello! The HX Effects does not include additional amplifiers that you would be able to select. If you'd like to have that versatility, I would suggest taking a look at the HX Stomp. Give us a call if you have any additional questions. Thanks! Jozy Franco, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 3015
I am really interested in buying this unit to use in front of a clean Fender HRD (my go-to amp for clean tone, that I use at least 50% of the time). My big concern is: does the Helix HX changes the basic tone of the amp when bypassed? Or should I use a buffer, specific settings, change the amp EQ etc?
Hi, Benji. The HX Effects does convert your guitar signal to digital when you go into it, and then converts it back to analog when you run out so there may be a very slight change but most people don't notice it and I wouldn't expect it to affect how you set your amp. The output of the HX Effects is buffered so a separate buffer wouldn't be necessary. By hitting both footswitches on the right side of the pedal, you do a hard bypass of the entire pedal so you can very easily hear what tonal changes (if any) are happening. Having used this pedal myself, I can tell you that the sound quality is terrific and I didn't notice any tonal changes as a result of the conversion happening. Thanks for your interest! Hello, Nigel! You can indeed use that on bass - there are even bass-specific overdrives onboard. There is a complete list of effects in the full manual: line6.com/support/manuals/hxeffects Thanks for the interest! Spunde, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1732, Spunde@Sweetwater.com
This unit sounds amazing through my EVH 5150 iii. I’m thoroughly enjoying it. Thanks to Line 6 and Sweetwater for hooking me up with one!

Great walkthrough
All well and good talking about it, but come on, where is the actual demo?
When did Anthony Kiedis start working for line 6?
Great radio voice
How do you get eight snapshots in hx effects? I only know four
Is this also an auto save like old m9 or m13?
thanks, snape
Does this device have the Helix amp sounds in it? Amp modeling? In other words, could this device be used without an amp, right into a PA?

Nice...
So Mitch lost the weight and he is gaining it back! what happened Mitch?
At 0.5 speed, these guys sound soooo baked.
testing an potentialy amazing product on an boring amp results in an toy sond i guess
Mathcartney its just the same old (literally) algos in a nice enclosure
Need to watch this at x1.5 speed to make it somewhat tolerable.
talking... demo.. :P
Great video about the human voice. But I suppose I would talk all the way through rather than listen to how bad this thing sounds.
