The Year Of The Lisa and Bill.
FYI - Both lo mein and chow mein use wheat noodles (may differ in noodle thickness; and where white noodles or egg noodles may be used in either type of mein depending on recipe). The main difference between lo mein and chow mein is in the preparation. Lo mein is typically cooked noodles tossed in a saucy seasoned mixture of meat and/or vegetables. Chow mein, on the other hand is cooked noodles stir-fried with meat and/or vegetables and seasonings (and tend to be greasier). Because lo mein is tossed in a saucy mixture, it is thought of as a "wetter" noodles dish. Chow mein is thought of as a drier noodles dish because the whole mixture is stir-fried together.
Chow fun is a stir-fried rice noodles dish.

the difference between chow mein and lo mein is that with chow mein you fry the noodles in the wok with the other ingredients, lo mein you cook the other ingredients and then turn off the heat before adding the noodles, and then stir them in the wok without heat. the noodles are the same. TH-camr "souped up recipes" taught me that!

The fish ya'll's were eatin' is called talapia, in which we have in the freezer, we ate that yesterday, our kittie 🐈 loves that yummy type of fish.
If you guys go to Vegas.. can you please try to make it to La Mojarra Loca. It’s a Mexican restaurant with wonderful food. My favorite is the mojarra al mojo de ajo. It’s a garlic covered fried fish. Amazing. I promise you won’t be disappointed. 🎰 🐟 🧄

Hello Bill, Lisa and Aunt Leslie! Hope everyone is enjoying Lunar New Year! We have been feasting on Chinese Food but is there ever a day when you can’t have too much Chinese Food? I just bought travel reusable utensils for us, with chopsticks included too! Lisa made me laugh when she busted out the real good chopsticks! I’m tired of the flimsy utensils they give you now…yes I will keep the unused ones in the car now! You know our Asian Mom taught us how to be prepared!!!😅😊Do they have the same foods at CA Adventure or is it just at the main park? Great food, lively atmosphere, lots of fun and dancing…I’m definitely inviting both of you to our wedding once we get that all planned out…😂my Mom used to make sweet and sour fish with tilapia when we were younger, she would make it a little spicy too! Thanks for sharing Lunar New Year events at the park! Making me hungry…having fried rice now!😊

Yes, that was the Rock Vault concert at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino from a few years ago. We tried looking for it, but can't find it, sorry. We don't know of any specific 80's bands concerts happening in Vegas. Fremont Street Experience has bands nightly, maybe check their schedule as they may have a 80's band. you guys ever ate Seafoid Town in torrance. best chinese restaurant been in torrance over 20yrs. they give you big portions and always crowded. even jimmy kimmel ate there.

Chow mein is fried noodles. The noodles are fried in the sauce. Lo mein is mixed noodles. The noodles are tossed in the sauce not fried.

New York City had a big Chinese New Year celebration this year. They don’t want to come to New York City for Chinese New Year. They only come to New York City for Christmas!!!!!
