- There’s a new foodie player in town. It’s Orange County’s Mercado González Northgate Market. With over 20 food stalls within the 70,000 square-foot market, they brought a little bit of Mexico to Costa Mesa, CA.

That pozole looked good, but adding cabbage, radishes, cilantro and onions is the right way to eat it and elevate the flavor. And don’t forget the crushed chiles! P.S. Disneyland churros are 🤮

This place is amazing. The food looks so good. The churros, yummy. Have never heard of iced flan before either. Need to try that.
We have a grocery store in El Paso called El Mercado and they have a full bakery, butcher and restaurant too but not to this level. Much smaller scale.
BTW, I now have an Alauni in my life. My niece had her first baby on Dec 17, almost 1 month old. We call her A.J. (Alauni Josefina).

We went there one time and it was amazing. Food was good , cool atmosphere , recommended , even met some people we see at Huntington Beach Pier.

Hello Bill & Lisa, being a mexican I loved seeing the different foods. This place is not too far from where I live, planning to go sometime. I was hoping to see the tamales, that is what our family enjoys for our Christmas dinners. I loved seeing that they have the pan dulce and the churros. Were the tortillas you sampled corn or flour?
They were flour.

You’ll love this place! So much variety!
The typical cafe de olla is water, cinnamon, coffee and piloncillo which is unrefined cane sugar. You will find it in the market as dark cone shapes. I want to go there but I’m allergic to cinnamon, how penetrating is the aroma for the cafe de olla and churros throughout the store? I recently went to Mexico and had churros after 8 years, I found a local spot that made them without the cinnamon sugar because he said that many clients were requesting them without cinnamon due to being allergic.
Very little to no aroma/scent from the churro place, except for when you're there at the place.
For me, churros should be doughy in the center and crisp on the exterior. But those ones looked great!
I can eat a lot more than my wife who's a smallish eater and i can eat a lot.Boy oh by boy even all those samples look too much eating for me amazing though wish i could.

Well,maybe this market is bigger than the one in Carson. There’s no churrería, and the sitting
area is a bit smaller.The place used to be Albertsons.
The new Vallarta in Carson is ok, but seeing this Northgate 😮 wow. I will be there this weekend. Tons a food it all looked delicious. 😊
