Thank you so much Bro you don’t know what a pain in the a** it is to go through hours of TH-cam tutorials and still not get the information you need I must’ve watched 30 different videos and couldn’t find any simple explanation how to hook up my IBUs
Just stating the simple fact of not connecting to the Sbus pad was exactly the answer I needed. So simple yet it took me hours to find. This is a gem of a video.
in the interest of finding info in one place for newbies i'll put this here too, '' flysky receivers like the x6b and turnigy ia6c allow telemetry via a plug directly to battery points. the older flysky i6 requires the 10 channel mod, this allows a two stage beeper alarm on your radio for flight battery voltage. i believe the newer fs i6x is able to do this without any mods, just get the x6b receiver, or the turnigy ia6c.
Thanks for the vid. I did everything okay with my spf3 and i checked the reciver with my tx (i6) its working . But my quad wont arm!! Im having this issure for some days. How can i arm my quad😢
I just bought the vortex 180 and the flysky fli14+ receiver. Would I be able to use this receiver in this quad, and if so, could you do a video on this setup? I have it setup with a flysky micro receiver, but I have no RSSI. And also, I tried to get Betaflight, but I can’t seem to get it downloaded on my Mac.. i seen that Betaflight has an app for iPhone, could this be done through my phone? Sorry so long winded, but I’ve been out of this hobby for a long time, and just trying to get back into it. Thanks!
Ok so I did wire my flit10 ibus to my sbus and that's why it's not working. So do I simply solder the signal wire to a uart 6 pad and then Betaflight config I believe is fine. But is that correct before I try?
Hey i know im late but is it possible to connect the flight controller you used as an example to a FS-IA10B or to a FS-IA6. Please answer to my question i really need it. Thank you so much
So what happens if the FS A8S is soldered to Sbus? I just got my first quad and soldered the 5V/GND but there is only a option for Sbus. Can I change the receiver from ibus to Sbus and how do I know what it’s set on?

So I'm using a board that's essentially a copy of the RacerStar F4s (your description says you're familiar), So what pad do I use for my X6b receiver? It looks like there's only one pad, and that's SBUS, so what do I do?
im not sure what you mean by "It will never work" at 1:06 because on my latest builds, 1 week ago on flight one. I set up 2 X6B recvievers both on Sbus on revolt v2 and millivol without any issues and Sbus is "normal" not inverted on FC.
The turnigy evolution has sbus or ibus choice in output page. Would it work on the sbus pad if ibus selected in transmitter? I've only used F4 pro v1 from dys. My TGy-IA6c receiver has sbus pin that is connected to sbus pad on F4 pro. Transmitter and betaflight are set to ibus and it's working fine. At least I think fine...seems to failsafe sometimes around 150m. I'm still confused. Does F4 pro have Rx pad I should be using instead? I have uart1 on in betaflight now and it "works". Is my setup "wrong" but still "works"? Perhaps not to best potential? Still confused. Might just be my brain, or lack thereof. Know your busy but help??
If you have Mamba F405 or Mamba F722, you CAN use the SBUS pad (I tested with Fli14+, X6B and A8S). Other FC have pad that says DSM/Spectrum - that is an uninverted RX. Important, when wiring, check the JST wires correspond to silk screen (ie GND = black etc).
Thank you so much man! I'm one video away from shitting my pants because I could not figire out why I cant see any movement on betaflight even though im turning my sticks.
Greetings from Malaysia! Mr DroneMesh, will it work the same way on sp racing f3? I connected the wire as shown on uart 1 which is black for gnd, red for 5v and yellow for rx1 but it did not work. There was another wire not connected at all. I am using the fs rx2A pro mini receiver. I failed to bind the receiver to flysky fs i6 (the blue one) as there's no light whether blinking or solid on the receiver. What have i done wrong do you think? On betaflight i could flash the board but for some reason the receiver did not light up. Do you mind to show on video on how it's done as i am still new to building my own quad. Can you help? Thanks a lot and appreciate your effort to make educational and informative videos like these. Surely many people have benefited by watching your videos especially newbie like me. Keep it up man!
You did everything correct but change RX1 to another one like RX2 or RX3... Now on SPF3 Board it will not give power to receiver from USB you have to give the board 5v so the receiver gets power. Hope that helps
Hey i have my flysky reciver on sbus on a f4 flight controller and ibus connection on thr reciver. I just set the transmitter to sbus and did the same setup on betaflight u did for sbus and it works. Did i get lucky or is it because its a cheap f4 fc
Mike Hedrick i have the fsi6 x and it worked fine. One problem is that u have to set the end points. On ibus didn have to do that. The fc i have didnt have and extera ur ports. Go throught drone mesh play list to learn more.
Do you still recommend these flights controllers under dollar 45. Or is there any new flight controller which has come up in 2019. I am a noob in building racing quad. So plz recommend me some best flight controller under 45 dollar. Or the above mentioned flight controller are still the best. Plz reply subscribed user . Urgent 😘😘😘
in kakute manual it says you can connect ibus sbus spectrum etc to r3 pad.pad r3 will autamatically configure inversion. so can i connect ibus to rx 3 or not?
Hey need some help I am struggling to bind a 1.7g Fli14+14CH Receiver Compatible Flysky AFHDS-2A w/ RSSI Output for FS-i6 FS-i10 Turnigy I6S Radio Transmitter with my Fly Sky FS-T6. I have pressed the button on the receiver so that its flashing rapidly. I've held down the bond key on the controller but it refuses to connect? Any ideas?

This is about the 3rd tutorial I've followed to set up my baby ape with a flysky i6. I've followed every step exactly. No luck at all. It is NOT "that simple.." I love that you don't only focus on FRSKY!!!
Haha rightt...everyone is using it and its quite expensive.
100%!!! Watch endless amounts of videos and none broke it down as simply as you did 🙌🏽
The more you said simple, the simpler it became. Funny. Great video I learned a lot. Simple
No need for this video, but plenty of ppl will. Your explaining is simple, like b.falcon did...keep this stuff running for the new kids flying.
