- a fun race until i was hit off the track and put into the wall..
other car makes a mistake in 9. drives all the way across the track to the right, brakes super early and comes back all the way across the track to the left to hit me. I was not going for an over take but he made a double move on the straight, and moved under braking. He braked so much earlier than normal it caught me off guard and put my car next to his.
That' s a tough one. I can see why you went outside. Looks like he's going for an inside line but then moves back across just when you happen to be in his blind spot.
That is damn scary, hope you're feeling alright though

@@jobniemanthat’s pretty ridiculous. Dumps two off, knows you have a run then moves under braking and creates contact.

@@jobnieman Sorry this occurred but this was a race. If you don't mind me back-seat driving this, my .02 cents, you likely should have given this particular driver more space as you discovered; very aggressive. Instead, another opportunity would have been found later during the race or the outcome may never have changed. Your exit speed was quicker as he made the mistake at 9. In my opinion, both are at fault if we try to find the blame. Yes, he tried to defend. I'm sure he knew you were behind him especially after he lost his exit speed. I believe he thought you were coming on the inside to overtake, and he went for the outside block quickly afterward.
@@xNoXiDe Thanks, yeah no worries. Appreciate the comment. In the end neither of us were penalized and I see what you are saying. The only thing I have to mention is that I wasn't trying to over take here. He braked significantly earlier than he normally did which caught me off guard but I got on the brakes as soon as i saw. I figured i would be ok since the rules state you cannot change "lanes" under braking and you are obligated to give the other driver space. Its a club race after all and we all try to avoid contact as much as possible. The other driver just didn't realize i was there and was focused on the car in front of him.
@@jobnieman I could see that and as you discovered sometimes people seeing red forget the rules and become unpredictable. Glad you're okay though and that's what matters.
