True story: was watching this video because i thought my Dell XPS 13 9360 screen backlight died. I had it plugged into an external monitor on duplicate mode. While watching this video, the screen suddenly started working again! I have no idea why. I first thought maybe it's a loose connection, but swinging the screen open and closed does not affect the backlight, it's flawless. I don't know what you did Comptechnyc but you magically fixed my laptop :D
Thanks for the video I have had a broken XPS 9360 screen since October 2019 and dell quoted £600 to replace it which I was never going to pay so I bought a MacBook Pro as replacement knowing I will replace the dell screen and some point when I can find a great guide and you have best once I have seen. So thanks just about to order my screen replacement from ebay. Thanks
thanks this was super helpful. i replaced my display and all went smoothly until i started putting back my display. that cable you remove at 4:50 that's sticking off of the display cable... it was broken on my replacement display. i guess they didn't watch your video or they'd know they shouldn't pull the cable or it'll break. OKAY HERE'S THE WEIRD PART: finished the replacement. display wasn't working. then after a day the display randomly starts working! you don't actually say what that cable is for in the video. do you know? does anybody know? is it just like an extra cable for funsiez? lol
I have horizontal lines on the bottom of my screen. Is there anything I can do to fix the problem without replacing the whole screen? Maybe something with the ribbon cable?
May I ask you where did you buy your replacement from? I bought one on eBay but it is of a lower quality. It's a QHD like the original, but somehow it's not as sharp as the original. Thank you sir.

Hi, thanks for the video! I am wondering, are screen assemblies for 9350 and 9360 intercompatible?

Thanks. Worked great except that the stupid wifi cables are a pain in the arse to snap back on for some reason.

What's the easiest way to determine if I'm buying a screen off Ebay that is compatible?

can somebody tell if a non-touch dell xps 13 9350 fhd display can fit on a non-touch xps 13 9360 fhd ?
Yes, it can!
It worked for me (a rank amatuer). Thank you.
@4:59 this is a connector for what?

@@sim_lmbr No, it's card reader cable!
@@Aneesh.Asokan card reader? what card? my replacement display came with this cable broken. do some display assemblies have sd card readers built in?
No one has shown how to change the screen on TH-cam, it's easy for a cover with a screen, let's change the screen!
