5600 XT converted me from team green to team red. Bought one almost a year ago brand new with extended warranty for $150, wasn't dissappointed. Coming from 1050 Ti, this was a delightful experience.
I'd probably hop over to Team Red, but for now, DLSS beats FSR so badly that I can't yet hop over unless I buy a seriously powerful AMD card that doesn't need any such wizardry
@@rapu4 I would probably do the same, but the reason I did what I did (not mentioning the price tag, of course) is just that I don't have any interest in new and high-techy games. Probably the most advanced games I play on this card are Cyberpunk, Baldur's Gate 3 and MW2022, and the card handles them all pretty well.
@@pleasantivan Yeah I've got a RTX 2060, probs going to upgrade it fairly soon, but I'm really impressed with how good DLSS is. I was able to play Cyberpunk 2077 in 1440p DLSS balanced at a mostly stable 60fps, dropping to 50-55 in some really populated areas
Well, many 5700XT's cost the same as a 2060 in the UK at that time, £330 or so. You could get a 2060 for £300 if you shopped around, but the 5700XT is some 30% faster. It was a no brainer for a thinking gamer. Still the 2060 outsold the 5600XT and 5700XT by around 700%. Go figure! XD
The og price point was a bit much but now its a no brainer. I've been rocking my 5700xt since 2019 and its still doing everything I need it to very well.@@TheVanillatech
I paid £400 for a 2060Super, considering how the market went literally a day later I feel like I got away lucky even though I wanted a 2070Super (I missed the last one in stock, I went a day late and all that was left, the only card available was the 2060Super I bought) the 2060S kind of surprised me compared to the 1060 6GB it replaced. And no I didn't price gouge someone when I sold it a fortnight later, I serviced it and passed it on for £180, it's still in use right now in a local family's kid's computer, I'll pop round and repaste it for them soon.
Damn, I feel you. I bought mine for €400 (new) back in 2017, and it has been running amazingly for the past 6 years. But I wouldn't have valued it at €400 in 2022.
i bought my 5600 xt a year ago and it was a great buy, even nowadays with these high quality pc ports. I have a 1080p monitor and i thought 1440p would be too much, but the 5600 xt scales suprisingly well to 1440p compared to 1080p. Interesting, like having a 192 bit memory bus is useful.
I would personally just spend that tiny extra for an actual 5700XT. There is no guarantee that the 5700 you would buy could handle the increased clocks, not to mention that flashing a vbios can go wrong. And if you are on that of a tight budget that you can't get the 5700XT, I would just not risk losing the 5700 that you paid for.
@@83RhalataShera you'll be surprised! I made a video on 5700 Vs 5700XT, performance was pretty close after a OC on the 5700, no need to flash just use morepowertools to unlock the performance, made a video on this also.
@@AlexHusTech "Just use more power tools", my point is that you aren't guaranteed that the silicon you buy can handle it consistently, it's basically like telling people "Yeah X GPU has this performance, but I have managed to overclock the one that I have with these settings and now it is 15% faster so you guys should just do that instead of spending like 30 extra euros and get that performance guaranteed, with a cooler that was meant for it (even tho some coolers in the 5000 series were awful even for the gpu they were built for) and a chip that passed quality control for that level of clocks/power/etc..". Sorry, I don't care that even 80% of the cards "can do it" AMD disabled the 4 CUs and turned down the clocks on the Navi 10 chip for a reason, chances are that a lot of people who would buy the 5700 under the impression that they are just going to magically flash a bios or unlock limits with more power tools and get "free performance" would get severely disappointed when their GPU would suddenly be really hot and loud because the cooler was never built for it or their card was just crashing in games because surprise surprise that Navi 10 chip didn't pass QC for a 5700XT. I think it's fine if you are a tinkerer but I would never feel good about recommending it to a friend who wants a good and reliable second hand value GPU, that's why I don't like people just recommending budget buyers something that might or might not work as they expect and might even result in a dead GPU they spent their money on.
The 2060 is a solid little card, I have one. Since I need CUDA I would pick the 2060 over the 5700XT, but if you are just gaming RDNA and RDNA2 are providing phenomenal value right now.
It was much maligned at the time but people were being arseholes, it launched at the same ticket price as the 1060 6GB and was a little over 50% faster with the DDR6 offering a huge uplift in memory bandwidth compared to DDR5, it was the last major uplift in performance Nvidia delivered in the midrange. I went for the 8GB Super variant purely because of the way my 6 chip 1060 fell off a cliff compared to the 8 chip AMD DDR5 cards. My Super has stood up well so far and at 3 and half years it's just lasted longer than my 1060 and I'm not replacing it for another year, maybe a little longer. It may be slower than a 5700XT but it's good enough for my usage and I do like playing with the Tensor core witchcraft functions.
Still happy with my Sapphire Pulse 5600XT bought in 2020 just before mining boom. By now 5700XT is a beast, two my friends bought used 5700XT this summer and very happy with them, playing all games 1080p High.
Got my 5600XT in Nov-2020 at MSRP right before the crypto boom & apart from the rare software glitches, im very happy with its performance mostly 90-100 fps in majority of my games! (high settings)
Interesting benchmarks. The rx 5600 xt was underrated when it came out due to driver problems. In fact, two different models came out on the market, respectively with 12 and 14 gbps. The model with the updated bios (14 gbps) is very close to a 2060 super :)
As a 2060Super user I would assert it's all you need, mind you if you reverse Nvidia's memory underclock of 1000MHz and add a little 7% core OC you can increase output significantly, it's the most I've ever got out of monkeying about with the pre-sets on a card. Generally though I just use it stock, I reserve the clocked profile for if want to play Cyberbug or the Worst Optomised of Us, Or Jedi: Force Hair Colouriser.
5600XT had zero driver problems. Bought two on day one of release and they never had a single issue. One of them still running to this day in my daughters machine. You might be confusing this with the 5700XT black screen issue, which took 3-4 months to fix (yet only affected a small percentage of people). And yes, 5600XT with the updated BIOS was 20% less expensive than a 2060 but beat it in performance. Matched the 2060S in a handful of games. Really nice cards, if you got one before the prices went absolutely mental.
I just picked up two days ago an RX Vega 64 for $120, which is not too shabby where I live. Undervolted and overclocked I’ve read it can overtake an RX 5600 XT and has the extra VRAM to its benefit. Out of the box it even performs the same as an RX 5600 XT, so I think I’ll be happy with this for a while waiting for either RX 8000 to knock it out of the park (pretty unlikely) or for RX 7000 to appear at decent prices in the used market.
Decent cards, and around 10% faster than a 5600XT on averge, but with double the power draw. Still that won't make a difference unless you keep it for 2 years and game for 8 hours a day, 365 days a year like a madman.
AMD cards will always beat any Nvidia card in the used market. In the Netherlands they're always 50 to 100 euros cheaper at the same performance. You can get a 5700xt for around 150 euro, while a 2070 or 2070 Super will go for well over 200. The RX 580 8GB dominated the used market back in the day and now the 5700 XT is the new budget king!
Makes me wonder how well the gtx 1070 (ti) with its 8gb of VRAM holds up to the 2060 today, given that VRAM is getting more and more a limiting factor.
@@xerxeslvwhat games are you running? What graphic settings are you running? And resolution are you running?, Also if it is running a game what FPS are you getting in said game?
I also swapped out a 5600XT for a 6700XT, and it was a worthwhile upgrade. This GPU will set me right for many years, I only play older stuff (in 4K) as a rule. Hopefully STALKER 2 is good and now shredded by downgrades and concessions. That's about the only "new" game I'm excited for.
5700 XT is a gaming monster for it's price. Got it in april for about 150 USD. It's on a hot side (especially my AsRock Challenger with simple fans) but you can reach good temperatures by undervolting and slight power limiting. All games now simply reach CPU bottleneck on my old Xeon E5-2680v3 or my 75hz refresh rate😅
@@brettmacahilos8609 No need, there are currently no games that i play that need better cpu for 75+ fps. Only some turn based strategy games in heavy cpu load can dip under 60 fps. But i doesn't need "extra smooth" gameplay for this type of games
It's crazy how over the past few years (Post Crypto Mining) these cards which are really not too bad for 1080p gaming, are relatively cheap. Your content is always amazing... keep up the great work
You are rare savior to us budget gamers and i really appreciate it. Thanks and keep your work for us. Ps: im living in poor region and pc hardware and electric bills are way higher than normal with average salary about 400euros and the new tech and inflation killing us more is tragic.
I can confirm 5700 XT does 1080p60 locked on Ultra and FSR2 Quality (with the FSR2 mod) in Plague Tale Requiem, throughout the entire game. There are more demanding sections and some lighter sections.
My rtx 2070 super (costing the same if not cheaper than rx 5700xt) does plague tale requiem at around 70fps with ray tracing and dlss off, with ray tracing on and dlss off it's around 50fps or more Note: I did go to to my pc and set everything to factory maximum, I could squeeze more of it I overclocked it, but I'm using a cheap b450m which really isn't meant for overclocking Also I don't like dlss, I will never use dlss, the games look worse with rt and dlss so I usually just run the games with ray tracing on or off and dlss always off.
@@VR00100 Also I do not believe a 2070S does 1080p70 with RT on this GPU. The latest patched version is forcing an Ultra Quality upscaling preset (probably 77%), but still. No chance. You're not doing 1080p60 with RT even with DLSS Quality. There are lighter sections in the game, but overall you're far and away from 60 fps generally with RT
Ive owned an Asus TUF X3 Evo 5600 XT for ~3.5 years. Initially the drivers sucked and performance was unstable. But since July of 2020 the stability issues were resolved and the fine-wine drivers continue to improve performance and stability. Its currently outperforming the RTX 2070 with the OC and undervolt I have set.
Great production. Clean, professional and full of information. You deserve much bigger audience. On topic: I sold my son's 2060 KO ultra a week ago for 150€. That card aged very badly in my opinion, it's performance is subpar in newest games, even at 1080p. 6gb VRAM was the biggest mistake. He's now rocking 3070 and difference is huge. I'm on evga (rip) 3080ti, but that is completely different beast. Keep it up mate, I love your content.
Tbh, at this price point and generation ray tracing does not matter. For the 2060 ray tracing is garbage for the most part, the card doesn't have the horsepower to really trace those rays. DLSS is a nice QoL and, for the most part, better than FSR. And, Ironically is the FSR availability what makes a 2060 appealing, since you can choose either upscaling technology available of the game. Personally, if I had to cjoose I would go with the 5700 XT, even if the card consumes more power. Because of its performance it will be able to play new releases st least four to five years from now, even with the 8VRAM buffer. Unless you find a pretty amazing deal on an Nvidia card, go for the AMD. Sure, Nvidia has a lot of the pretty bells and whistles but AMD bests the crap of out it on price/performance and the Adrenaline software is so good. I've used AMD cards since my first custom PC snd I don't regret it any bit. The RTX series has been tempting, but when I see their horrendous price, yeah, no thanks, it's not worth it.
I got an Asus Strix 5600 XT new for $200 in between crypto booms. It is the best built, quietest and coolest running card I own, it has 3 fans that will automatically shut down when they are not needed. It's best feature might be that it has a button to turn off RGB!
Sold off my 5600xt recently due ro mainly gaming 1440p. It was however, still going strong. Enough to upgrade to a 6750xt (was cheaper them a 6700xt) which works better at 1440p. However, the 5600xt has always been good at 1080p and even at 1440p with upscaling on or just lowered settings. Sold it off for 100 euro's cause someone needed a solid 1080p card for his kid and well.. Most people seems to be searching for nvidia cards apparently. Hidden 1080p gem this one.
Hahaha, so much love for the RX 5700XT. I still use it, my build is similar to your MPG build. Currently saving for a GPU upgrade, considering UE5 and similar engines the minimum GPU I would go for is the RX 7900 XT. Not having high hopes for RTX 5000 and lots of tech channels were hot airing the RX 8000, now they do the same with RX 9000.
@@takehirolol5962 well they did say the RDNA 3 will work great with UE 5 and a Rx 7600 can do good and I think the 7900xt is not a minimum but maybe the Rx 7700xt would be
In my area, littles months ago, the 5600xt could be found around 150€ minimum while the 5700xt was in +200€. In prices comparaisons, and on a budget (~150€), it was rather 1660ti vs 5600xt.
I love my 5600xt and always wondered about 1440p so thanks to this channel and all the benchmarking you've done and now also this video m8 i'm going to buy a 1440p Monitor maybe curved and swap out the centre monitor. My 1080p monitors are all 24" and for 1440p it's said that 27" is the way so hopefully having a 24" at each side won't look weird. Anyway cheers pal.
I just picked up a used Strix GTX 1080 for $100, the lower end market has some insane value to offer. Main advantage of an RTX 2060 would be DLSS, but FSR is still a good feature to prolong the lifetime of older generation GPUs.
Can you post an average FPS chart like Hardware Unboxed does? I feel like if it wasn't for Cyberpunk 2077 disproportionately giving 10fps to 2060 wouldn't it drop it down to average being below 5600XT?
The other concern with the Rx5700/XT is their higher likelihood of being mined heavily in recent years unless you can trust the seller it wasn’t mined on.
Mining is not an issue if the miner wasn't a dumbass honestly (which can hard to find out as a buyer to be fair). When I still had my 5700XT in my gaming PC back during the mining craze I was doing some minor testing with crypto mining since the 5700XT was good at it and most guides by knowledgeable miners always recommended heavily undervolting the GPU core which resulted in much lower temperatures than while gaming at stock settings. Couple that with blowing the dust off the card regularly and there really isn't a problem with ex-mining cards. Especially since during mining the GPU stays roughly at same temperature all the time, while the temperatures in a typical gaming workload are more up and down, which is actually worse for the health of a chip (even tho it is still fine imo, GPUs are not princesses, they don't break/degrate as easily as many people seem to believe). I ended up trading my 5700XT for a 6700XT with a miner (since the 6700XT has a smaller memory bus it is worse at mining but better at gaming so they had around the same market value) and it was in perfect condition and still runs great with good temps 2 years later. Yes, an anecdote but I really think that if the miner isn't a pig then it shouldn't be a problem
Useful video, thank you! A few days ago I bought a used rx 5600 xt for £80. Together with Ryzen 1800x, they make a pretty good pair ;). I am very pleased. In the second computer I have an rx 6600 xt (bought a month ago for £150) paired with a ryzen 2600 and it's very nice too! By the way, I sold the RX 5700 XT in October 2021 for £730 ;). Graphics card prices are a real rollercoaster!
Have not seen JASON, but since youve matched to focus the video on exactly the cards I wanted to look up for my next upgrade. So you got the like regardless
My friend and I are currently playing Baldur's Gate 3... we have identical PC specs with one big difference, I use a GTX 1660 Super and he uses a RX 5700 XT.... we both play with the exact same settings and have very similar FPS... But he plays in WQHD and I only in Full HD. The RX 5700 XT is an powerhouse... Unfortunately, power is the right keyword, his 500 Watt be quiet! System Power 9 power supply buckled under the RX 5700 XT only after three years and we had to replace it today. My goal is to keep electricity consumption as low as possible, because I pay €0.39 per kWh ... so when I upgrade, I will go for an RTX 4070.
It´s actually quite nice to see that those modern titles run pretty well without sacrificing all settings on 3-4 years old cards that can be purchased on a small budget. Looks you even have headroom left for single player games and a 60+ fps experience. (if you stay below 1440p that is)
Bought 2 1080's off ebay. Very happy with them. Obviously support is dwindling but i dont plan on playing any newer AAA games anytime soon. Im using one for a sleeper build and ill give one to my brother for Christmas. About $110 each.
I built my 7 year old a pc out of used parts recently using an i5 9500, rtx 2060 6gb and 16 gb of 2666 ddr4. Glad to see I made a good choice with his $120 rtx 2060
I suppose I've had brand loyalty for a while. Back in the day I wanted to play Knights of the Old Republic and I had a ATI Radeon 9250 I believe it was. The game ran like crap and I sidegraded, well arguably downgraded, to a Geforce 4MX which ran the game brilliantly. Since then I've always just gotten the best bang for the buck Nvidia card that was available, the last two I've purchased being a GTX 970 and a RTX 3060. Only relatively recently did I switch back to AMD for my processor. I'd had a FX-6300 and experienced the black pixel glitch in Mass Effect and because of that I changed platforms entirely and went to a i5-4460. Now there's a fix out for the black pixel glitch and I'm back on AMD for my CPU, first to a 1600AF and now a 5600X.
Feels weird to think that a 5700xt is considered low end. I bought mine when they were first released for 400ish Dollars, right before the shortage (they got up near 2k!) when it was considered a mid to high end card. I'm still plenty happy with it at 1440p 75hz refresh rate- I can mostly max out settings on games. I doubt I'll ever spend more on a new GPU than I did for this, unless I win the lottery which I don't play- so ya, not happening! What's even more ironic is that I also have an r9 Fury Nano that is in my backup PC- on ebay I can get 200-250 for it- much slower but it is becoming very rare/hard to find.
The RX 5700 XT was a direct competitor to the RTX 2060. They were around the same MSRP. The 5600XT was priced what the GTX 1660 Super cost. The 2060 Super came out to take the advantage back from the RX 5700 XT
Sup $150? I was lucky to find my 5600 XT for $200. It was quite literally the only listing on eBay that was less than $201, and it was refurbished. This was back in April or may. Damn it, I'm so pissed.
The 5700XT was never the 2060’s competitor. It competed with the 2060 Super on price. The 5700 was closer to the 2060’s price, but that launch saw the 2060 dip below MSRP. It even dropped to 300 to compete with the 5600XT on price. At the time it was faster by a decent margin. Edit: I’m talking about US pricing. Your point may be correct in a market that I’m not familiar with.
Actually 5600XT with the unlocked bios flashed and overclocked to 2100MHz has like RTX2060 Super performance. I bought one like half year ago for 100 Eur and it was the best bang for the buck at the time. Cyberpunk at 1080p and ultra settings with Ryzen 5600 run at 59fps and 69 using FSR 2.1 I sold it for 120 Eur recently and I wanted to upgrade to 5700xt for 150eur which is the best performance for the money you can buy now. I managed to get 6700xt for 225eur used msi mech 2 so I pulled the trigger on that. It overclocks very good as well :)
5700 and 5700 XT both costs less than 2060, they are the best value for budget builds right now. I was able to get both cards at around $120 CAD each. That's less than a 1660 Ti where I live let alone 2060 😅
Nice and fast video, I'm gonna assume that's because your schedule was tight to have these scheduled to go up on your vacation. I like the 2060 but I feel it and other 20 cards are holding onto price too well because of DLSS. Though it is an attractive point for these cards. The 5600xt isn't too shabby either but I find 6gb of VRAM is becoming limiting. Still at $120~ it's pretty good. Hope you're having a good vacation iceberg!
My very first build had a 5600xt ended up selling it for double and buying a 3070 for 150 more. Didn’t mind the 5600xt it was but dlss had me interested.
The 12 game average chart at 8:21 shows the 5600XT near 7% faster than the base 2060. Its actually closer to the 2060 Super and many are selling used under $100. If only Crossfire was still widely supported.
the only problem i have with the 5700xt is they dont have single fan cards for my itx build. and the 6600 itx versions are super expensive. sad times. good vid
I've bought three 5700 XTs this year. They're hot, they're loud, they're power hungry. But holy shit are they fast for the price. Last one I got was $120. It outperforms the 2060 Super (owned 1 this year) and can give the 1080 Ti a run for its money (I've owned 2 this year). Repaste the chips, clean the card, and adjusting the fan curves can make the 5700 XT the best option for a sub $170 GPU.
I would have liked to see some Dlss results with this as well. If you are looking at older rtx cards I think it would be cool to see how DLSS helps keep these older cards going
I really appreciate you and other budget pc building channels like RGIHD. Those big channels are nothing but negativity nowadays. "Hurr durr lower tier40xx/7xxx series only reaches 49999 fps and cant reach 50000 fps on *inser extremely poorly optimized game here* at 1080P. Therefore it's unplayable and the card is useless because nvidia/amd are assholes >:(" -Steve from HUB. Budget build channels are the best. Hope you can keep growing!
The big channels are just hardware porn channels, the mass market is the budget build market. Not a high percentage of people spend thousands to game, most spend £300-£1000 on their build. I'm personally happy if I can get 60 frames at 1080P, it's good enough. For context my current build is an R5 5500 and 2060Super, 60 power efficient frames most people can afford to build and run.
@@darthwiizius we nearly have the same build! I have a 3600 instead of a 5500. I hate it when steve from hub says 'x gpu only managed 40 fps in hogwart's legacy at 1080P high, that's unplayable'. Dude, 40fps is not playable nowadays? They seem to forget budget gpus arent fucking 4090s and 40 fps is more than playable for lower tier cards. Such a horrible take for a big channel
@@bluengold3443 40FPS is the start of when games feel smooth, it's why devices like Steam Decks make total sense, and lets be real, we're only one console generation since 30FPS was the only option in most games. BTW I bought the 5500 because when I switched to AM4 in 2019 I picked up a used R7 1700 for £80. I had been stuck on gen 4 Intel core (i7 non K to be precise) with no upgrade path for bleedin' years and the R7 let me platform swap for the net cost of the PCB (MSi B450 Tomahawk Max). The cheapo modern 6 core is way better in gaming than the old mouse wheel powered 8 core was, and it's pretty well balanced with the 2060S just like your 3600, frame timings are better (more important than raw FPS IMO) and random skips gone, AMD (and Intel now to be fair) do some very good budget CPUs and with cheap DDR4 and used PCBs everywhere you can build a decent PC for no money. I think I could build a good platform (mem, CPU, PCB) for about a hundred Quid nowadays, £150 get's a more modern ZEN2 CPU instead of a ZEN+ part. In fact I could pick up an R3 3300X for £55 right now or an R5 3600 for £65 so easily for £150.
Do 5000 series cards support SAM? If they do, did you test with it enabled, every time I see amd lose to nvidia in FH5 I thing abou reBar. My 6700xt went from 90 to 130fps after enabling it.
@olnnn still worth a try if you ask me. Tho I know that FH5 needs a lot of vram, which is probably why 5700xt is a lot faster here than 5600xt. Maybe there is no helping the 5600xt here, it just doesn't have enough vram. Plus SAM usually increases vram allocation and dedication, that might be why in certain games with certain gpus it can reduce performance.
@@brzimtrco6142 There are videos of it givin the 5700 XT a significant boost in FH4 at least, and videos of it helping the Vega and RX 580 significantly in FH5. Seems even with 5000 series should be on most of the time and just turned off if really needed.
Have you tried turning the memory clock on the 2060 up to 8000MHz? I can do this on my 2060S which is set out of the box to 7000MHz, alongside a small core OC of 7% it has significant effects on output, and yes it's stable I ran it like this unbroken for 2 months to test it with zero crashes, I still have the profile saved for if I ever want to play The Last of Us.
I would recommend looking at the rx6650xt, it isn't that popular, and is often forgotten, but for the few, like me, who had only a little wiggle room in their budgets, it is a great GPU for less, and handles pretty well, I am able to get a stable 144fps on satisfactory, and 60fps on high-ultra on Battlefield V. I love you video style, and am surprised I only found you a week or so ago.
I bought a rx5600xt from Sapphire. Specifically for the low power consumption and low noise even in full load. My PSU is the loudest thing now, on my list to upgrade next... Gaming wise, I play on a 1080p 75hz locked refresh so the rx5600xt is more than enough. Amd chill is on as well. Not a big fan of the latest FPS games, I play mainly RTS games, older games and fortnite/valorant.
Great vid my friend BUT sadly in some countries prices still vary wildly a few months ago i had the cash to buy me a new gpu for my i5 4690 pc now this is in part on why i bought what i did but hear me out so i had one RX5700 XT, two RX6600s, two RTX 2060 cards. three GTX 1660 super/ti sellers and i believe a RX 6700 XT seller as an option cool any of these cards will be tremendously bottlenecked by my current pc and i do not have the funds to buy a new pc alongside the gpu and i feel it's a waste also as i play older games at 1080p since no new game is really worth it right now, now that morning i wanted the RX6600 the most BUT not a single seller got back to me outside of one and since i really got pissed off i said fuck it RTX 2060 it is and guess what i am VERY happy, reviews on higher end gpu's etc. show that this cards close enough to newer and stronger hardware at 1080p and your vid proves it so for me this cards perfect especially for me who enjoys games from 2001-2021. also prices ranged from $120 to $200 the RTX 2060 was one of the cheaper ones at $143 the gtx 1660 card was the same price and the RX6600 and RX5700 was both at the $200 zone. and best part is after this cards prices jumped up by $100 on each card here i see RTX 2060s at $235 right now and RX 5700 xts here at $250
@@raresmacovei8382 I didn't mention them because I have never owned one, but the 2060 did and I had an experience with it at the time, however the rx 5000 series is also a very good option.
Thanks for another great video. I have a suggestion. Don't know if it's a good one or not. I know FPS is easy to compare. But how about setting a target FPS, say 60 or whatever - depending on the card - and then seeing how good quality graphics you can get? Since I am from the C64 era, anything above 30 FPS has me turning up the quality. Cheers.
I wonder, but how much value would there be paying double for something like a 3060 TI or even a 3070? Here in Ontario Canada a 2060 or 5700 XT would be like $150-180+ CAD while a 3060 TI/3070 could be had for $300ish CAD
Also if you revisit these 3 cards in the video, I'd reccomended looking at the benchmark program for Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail that got both the RTX 2060 & RX 5600 XT as the reccomended specs for GPU.
Bought my ex miner 5600xt for $80 and I don't think I could get better value anywhere else. It does have a high junction temp tho (97) while the rest of the card is in the low 70s
5600 XT converted me from team green to team red. Bought one almost a year ago brand new with extended warranty for $150, wasn't dissappointed. Coming from 1050 Ti, this was a delightful experience.
Same but I got mine for £120
I'd probably hop over to Team Red, but for now, DLSS beats FSR so badly that I can't yet hop over unless I buy a seriously powerful AMD card that doesn't need any such wizardry
I got myself a 1050ti yesterday😂
That 5700xt “new challenger” was a great concession to the 2060 in terms of price/performance.
5600xt calls his big bro for revenge on the 2060
Well, many 5700XT's cost the same as a 2060 in the UK at that time, £330 or so.

It's ok. I bought my 6700xt for 935$ a year before Ethereum went pos 🥲
A lot of people got shacked in the mining crisis
Friend off mine bought a rtx 3090 for 2500 euro about a month before it went to POS. I wanted to punch some sense into him....
@@hamoudy98productions I bought 6700xt in 2020 for 750e, right after I sold my vega 56 for 750e. Free upgrade.

These new benchmark overlays look great, and allow for more info to be displayed quicker. Good change, and keep up the great work!
I agree, very easy to decern what is what.
That last-minute switch-up threw me for a loop in the best possible way. Well done, Iceberg.
Rx5700 can be had for £120ish and can be flashed with 5700xt bios for a much better experience
*Yeah I reviewed a ALiexpress ELSA 5700 against a SOYO 5700XT & it came pretty close - AlexHus*
That's crazy, RX 6700 came down in price too.
*Yeh 5700XT is a beast*
It may be slower than a 5700XT but it's good enough for my usage and I do like playing with the Tensor core witchcraft functions.

im very happy with its performance mostly 90-100 fps in majority of my games! (high settings)
Interesting benchmarks. The rx 5600 xt was underrated when it came out due to driver problems. In fact, two different models came out on the market, respectively with 12 and 14 gbps. The model with the updated bios (14 gbps) is very close to a 2060 super :)
yeah i got the pulse with performance bios
Hell yeah great test. As a 5600xt owner I am very happy with my purchase, bought it more than a year ago for $145 used and its been a great card.

I can confirm 5700 XT does 1080p60 locked on Ultra and FSR2 Quality (with the FSR2 mod) in Plague Tale Requiem, throughout the entire game. There are more demanding sections and some lighter sections.
My rtx 2070 super (costing the same if not cheaper than rx 5700xt) does plague tale requiem at around 70fps with ray tracing and dlss off, with ray tracing on and dlss off it's around 50fps or more
Note: I did go to to my pc and set everything to factory maximum, I could squeeze more of it I overclocked it, but I'm using a cheap b450m which really isn't meant for overclocking
Also I don't like dlss, I will never use dlss, the games look worse with rt and dlss so I usually just run the games with ray tracing on or off and dlss always off.

I just picked up a used Strix GTX 1080 for $100, the lower end market has some insane value to offer. Main advantage of an RTX 2060 would be DLSS, but FSR is still
a good feature to prolong the lifetime of older generation GPUs.
Same!! I got mine from Ebay just through my NZXT Kraken G10 on it that was laying around
I have a mined 5700xt, i've been using it for about a year with no problem at all. Still, maybe I just got lucky.
At this point post mining card are basically verified to be reliable. If years of mining doesn't kill this card, nothing will😂

5700 XT was the competitor at the time to the 2060 on price. In the secondhand market where I live they are still similarly priced.
@@dex6316 maybe in your market. That wasn't the case where I lived.
I remember the 5600xt going for 900 Canadian during peak COVID
i just bought a 1080-ti for 165!! amazing times i now can play my favorite games at higher settings then with my rx 580!!!!
Rx 5700xt is 150 tops these days
He included it in this video.
@@RealMephressometimes people shoot 2 fast....and I'm one of them haha. I'll leave the comment up tho ;)
@@leroyjenkins0736 That's fair lel, have a good one
Man, 5700xt was such a good card. It handled absolutely everything I threw at it without issue
It's still a great card :) just higher power draw compared to the newer stuff.
My very first build had a 5600xt ended up selling it for double and buying a 3070 for 150 more. Didn’t mind the 5600xt it was but dlss had me interested.
Considering the 2060 is basically a slightly worse 3060 which is basically the 4060, it’s such a steal at current prices
These types of videos are my little heaven
can you do a review on the 2080ti? I think it's come down in cost quite a lot now
The 12 game average chart at 8:21 shows the 5600XT near 7% faster than the base 2060. Its actually closer to the 2060 Super and many are selling used under $100. If only Crossfire was still widely supported.
I scored a rx 6600 for 140 the best deal I ever found
RTX 2080 - Radeon Vii
RTX 2070 - RX 5700 XT
RTX 2060 Super - RX 5700 Non XT
The RTX 2060 stock but GTX 1660 ti sometimes is on par with the
RX 5600 XT
the only problem i have with the 5700xt is they dont have single fan cards for my itx build. and the 6600 itx versions are super expensive. sad times. good vid
FINALLY, I've been preaching the 5600xt for some time. Rn 5600xt goes for 85 to 135 USD. Great prices
Yeah I've had a few too, made some videos on AliExpress ones, yeah they are loud & hot!
What your driver version on radeon mate
I love your video, man 💯🔥
i literally just sold my pc with i5 10400f + rx 5600 xt and the customer really liked the performance of that pc
Exactly what I needed as I am getting a 5600xt
I would have liked to see some Dlss results with this as well. If you are looking at older rtx cards I think it would be cool to see how DLSS helps keep these older cards going
This was my choice before pre pandemic. Got the Sapphire Pulse RX5600XT at release date for $300ish and the price of 2060 before was $400
Having gone from a desktop to a gaming laptop with a 6gb rtx 4050 it's worth to see how well 6gb cards now adays
@@bluengold3443
40FPS is the start of when games feel smooth, it's why devices like Steam Decks make total sense, and lets be real, we're only one console generation since 30FPS was the only option in most games.
The 1% lows are much more important than average!
Do 5000 series cards support SAM? If they do, did you test with it enabled, every time I see amd lose to nvidia in FH5 I thing abou reBar. My 6700xt went from 90 to 130fps after enabling it.
They do but it can be a bit hit and miss depending on the game unlike the 6000 and 7000 series whether it helps or not.
Started with a fair fight, but ended with a massacre...
Still remember the good ole days you could get a HD 7850 or gtx 760 for under 250
So far I am loving my RX 5600XT which I upgraded to from the RX 570 8GB
I got a 5600xt for 125€ a couple of months ago, i was worried about my 330w PSU but it seems doing fine
Great vid my friend BUT sadly in some countries prices still vary wildly a few months ago i had the cash to buy me a new gpu for my i5 4690 pc now this is in part on why i bought what i did but hear me out so i had one RX5700 XT, two RX6600s, two RTX 2060 cards. three GTX 1660 super/ti sellers and i believe a RX 6700 XT seller as an option cool any of these cards will be tremendously bottlenecked by my current pc and i do not have the funds to buy a new pc alongside the gpu and i feel it's a waste also as i play older games at 1080p since no new game is really worth it right now, now that morning i wanted the RX6600 the most BUT not a single seller got back to me outside of one and since i really got pissed off i said fuck it RTX 2060 it is and guess what i am VERY happy, reviews on higher end gpu's etc. show that this cards close enough to newer and stronger hardware at 1080p and your vid proves it so for me this cards perfect especially for me who enjoys games from 2001-2021.
also prices ranged from $120 to $200 the RTX 2060 was one of the cheaper ones at $143 the gtx 1660 card was the same price and the RX6600 and RX5700 was both at the $200 zone. and best part is after this cards prices jumped up by $100 on each card here i see RTX 2060s at $235 right now and RX 5700 xts here at $250
It's amazing how well the RTX 2060 performs today. Excellent video!
5600 XT / 5700 / 5700 XT have always been better buys regardless.
I've bought RX 5700 for 115GBP and runs awsome :3
