Heck mine was only FRONT wheel drive, and I was amazed by how well that Jeeplet went through the 3" of sleet! ( It had brand new 235/70/16 Kumho AT51 tires on it )

Hey, so a couple years later (if you still have it I don't know) any rusting happening in those areas? Wouldn't there be potential body issues if the welds come apart from the sledgehammering? Seriously asking. I want to do this but this has been my concern. Thanks.

Looks way better!! I don’t think you should lift it, had a lifted truck in the past with kids is tough for the wife to get in and out of with babies and baby seats...but I also had it 10inches in the air...lol
First Coast Coyote if we did lift it we would only do 2-3 inches

Patriots can only be lifted a couple inches without a complete chassis overhaul. For the money its really not even worth it

Great job on the MK. I did the exact same thing on mine with the same size wheels but I put the RRO lift kit on it. I am curious how the jeep handles? Mine handles like absolute crap. Lifting it just 2 1/2 inches was enough to screw up the caster angle. I cannot find anything anywhere to tell me How the caster can be adjusted to sit more positive.

I'm usually not a fan of big tires but this set up on a smaller compact SUV looks really nice man good ish and smart move with the plastic in the wheel wells 💯👍!
I put the same tire yhe same size on my wifes car . Different rim but from discount tires direct. Had the four years now and yhey are wearing well and very good traction . They are a bit noisy she doesnt mind.

These look great!! I'm curious what you did about the difference in wheel bore diameter. The Patriot has a 67.1mm hub while the wheel you have there has an 83.01mm bore diameter. Did you use Hub Centric rings on it? Has there been an issue with vibration or lug bolt instability? Did you end up using any wheel spacers? If so, what size? Was there any rubbing at full lock? It doesn't seem the Genreal AT2 is available anymore. They stopped making it. I'd like to put these on my 2014 Patriot and maybe find some different tires.

My first car was a 2009 Jeep Patriot. They aren't the most "badass" vehicles, but they sure do last! It's now the car my wife drives around in and she puts it to the test for sure!

Kami O yes. I run them on my stock Patriot with no rub at all. I’m running the 225/65R17 Yokohama Geolander M/T’s and they are mean af looking 😎

Maybe but this is the first time I've seen anything about it I haven't been subscribed a long time but long enough that if it's well known i would think I would have seen it before. The angry part isn't really hard to believe anybody can be angry but it bothers me to see the wife beater label put on someone without proof being provided. If I'm wrong and I'm proven wrong I'll retract my statement and apologize but it's hard to believe that there would be this many subscribers and fans of someone who would do that. I grew up in a household like that and it's not something I take lightly but I also don't like to see that tag hung on someone when it's not true. No offense to you and I appreciate your input. I bought new Chrysler 300 rims, put jeep center caps in them, and larger Pirelli P7, 225_65_17 Tires. It looks more expensive, more like a Range Rover.
Yeah it's nice to have off road wheels and tires but it doesn't even have enough power to use the grip those tires have yeah it looks more aggressive but it would have been better to just put some all terrain tires on and call it a day

Modifying a vehicle does not in and of itself void a warranty per federal law. The Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act. A manufacturer has to prove that what you did to your vehicle directly caused whatever problem you're experiencing before they can void the warranty.
Don’t get spacers bro look up rancho quick lift kit it comes with new shocks and springs and the it lifts your car about 1.5 inch or 2 I have some on my truck and it runs like factory still and there adjustable look them up a recommend you that over spacers spacers will just give you bad ride quality
Can I put some wheels model of Jk on patriot ?
I put 235/60 R18 which is 29.1inches. they only rub when the tires are cut the whole way if you let up on the steering wheel about an inch it doesn't rub.
Camber and caster changes when it's hanging. So it's hard to compare to a lift. Once aligned it could be different.
Not a huge fan of the black wheel trend but it does look a lot better. Congrats to you two by the way!

It looks great, your wife is right it looks like a jeep now. I always thought the patriot looked funny with the factory wheels they were always too small and too far inset. I just picked one up at an auction and somebody has put grand Cherokee wheels on it, but I think I’m going to go with the package you have and add the 2 inch lift to it.
