      I did think after, it would have been nice to have used gold was which would have say down in all that grain a d would have looked really nice

    Beautiful Urn Steve, not keen on the woodpecker but I appreciate the skill involved. Carbide tools are fun to use and great on hard wood. All the best, Mike

      Hi Mike, I think im in the same camp as you, he more i look at it the less i like it. I think i have ruined a very nice and elegant project, luckily it will sand off relatively easily. Take care Steve

    Cheers Steve. With the news I've been getting recently an urn could be a useful next project ! Seriously, a nice piece of oak and I do like the pyrography.

    Another excellent project which we enjoyed watching but we're not sure the lid matches the base? Think it a good idea to remove the pyrography though.....😉

      Our thinking is very much aligned, the more i look at that wood pecker the less i like it, and as nice as that lid is its far to small, i will be turning another one with a taller finial
