Great video. Regarding the potential movement inaccuracy mentioned at 5:25, guns in CS:GO suffer no movement inaccuracy when travelling less than 1/3 of the maximum weapon movement speed. Given that he was crouching and moving slowly, he had no movement inaccuracy, just firing inaccuracy.
@@puppieslovies there will still be weapon and firing inaccuracy. Also that walking to crouch inaccuracy is actually a bug caused by that special formula you mentioned. Once you release shift (by pressing crouch), the game takes the normal running formula again and give you a short duration of running inaccuracy. While this played no role in this situation for Niko, I still hope it will get fixed rather sooner than later.

But literally it was a Niko show, I don't think another map would have made a difference and Navi would have won. I think Niko should be proud he was able to carry a team like his to the finals, and to almost a map win. I'm thankful he missed cause it allowed for a piece of history, the perfect major, and with S1mple of all players. If I were s1mple I'd be thankful to get a rare miss, maybe buy Niko a beer some day.
I think people forget, this was Navi's Nuke, and G2 (had Niko hit those shots) would have beaten them, ending their large win streak on that map. Map 3 I think anything could've happened, arguably coming off the win, even in G2's favour. After all Ancient was still fairly close so G2 were proving to be a match for Navi, who I don't think were showing their best form on the day. We'll never know though.

That was a comprehensive analysis on this round, I hold the same opinion as you. When it comes to the ending, I lean more towards the 1v1 between NiKo and B1t. Both are the best aimers/headshot machines in the scene today and even throughout the counterstrike history. Both have chances to win the round. Sadly it did not happen, I would like to be in a world where he made the shot on s1mple and 1v1'd b1t. Does not matter who wins the duel, it would be epic. Map 3 is an unknown factor, I would not be able to guess who would have won even if they made it there. I still feel it's unjust that NiKo could be suffering from that "mistake" and people not understanding it's not his fault that they lost.

Until their game against Gambit where s1mple started to frag crazy, b1t had highest rating in Navi. When I was watching their games, if B1t was going for a duel, 1v1 or 1v2, I would expect him hitting two headshots. He is extremely talented and already a good player, I think he will be considered as one of the best aimers one day, but you are right , at this moment not yet.
Thank you for making this video. I had to fight so many people on youtube and twitter about it. They didn't believe me that the shots missed + that it was a 1v1 situation which was in favour of navi because: - niko only had a deagle - niko had no armor - the bomb was planted for the CTs - the bomb was ticking for 20+ seconds AND the CT had a defuse kit - b1t had armor and an m4 So in more than 90% of the cases it would look like this: B1t fakes once, clears heaven, no one is pushing, so he starts defusing, niko pushes forward and just days in a boring spraydown from b1t. Only a low chance gives niko a lucky headshot while pushing forward. The end.
Chances were that Navi will win but you can never expect the unexpected, especially with CS tournaments… If it was to anything like a bug with the player model I would be disappointed.

I’m so glad you touched on the last topic about B1t being alive and taking down hunter simultaneously as Niko was missing his shots. The 1v1 favoured B1t with the bomb not planted for Niko and with him only being equipped with a deagle. The odds would’ve sill favoured navi regardless. However, the round would’ve gotten 10x more interesting and it’s too bad in a way that we won’t ever be able to know what would’ve happened had that situation occurred. But a great final regardless and navi 100% deserved the Major, especially after 3 heartbreaks.

Yea but also its really blown out of proportion imo. NAVI were SO much better. They probably wouldve just won the third map. Obviously upsets happen but G2 were not at the same level

G2 played much better than NAVI most of the 2nd map and it was really only until around 14-8 or something that NAVI really kicked it into high gear and started showing why they had been undefeated so far. Either way we will never really know and its just an interesting "what if" to think about in this major.
@@notnothaze Except that it's not really a what if. It is VERY VERY VERY likely that even with winning that map, G2 would've fell short. Na'vi is the first team EVER in csgo history to go undefeated. Think hard about what insane teams we have seen, how hard we have seen some teams dominate a tournament, yet none of them have dominated a tournament as hard as na'vi did. Niko deserves a major, but this one was meant for simple no matter the way you look at it.
Of the years that I have been playing CS, I even think that 1.6 always friends and other people told me that I never put the crosshair at the center of the enemy head while using Desert Eagle, always a little higher and to the left of the enemy, as if you were aim with the angle of the crosshair, just in the same way Niko did. I don't know if it's an urban legend but it was always the way to put QOTA

there's still another possibility to consider: what if s1mple missed Niko? he moved his crosshair very erratically trying to find where he was getting shot from, and there is a sizable chance he could have overflicked, and even if he didn't as was seen in the Major; the AWP crosshair was fairly blurred when he took the shot, meaning he didn't have full accuracy (he was aiming at Niko's torso, but hit a headshot). Niko missed those three shots, but just missing them was not enough to lose them the round
B1t would have tapped the bomb and Niko would have waited 4 seconds and then rushed out, either getting the kill or dying, which wouldn't have mattered because there would have been not enough time to defuse; taking them to the 3rd and final map, where Niko would have one-tapped Navi every single round and won the game 16-0 with 80-0 and the rest of G2 would have had a 0 kdr, thus ending world hunger, creating world peace and humanity as a whole would have elevated to the next level of intelligence and technology. Instead we are here where everything is bad. Thanks s1mple....

You see that's the real problem with the Deagle, its first shot is more or less as accurate as the AK's, it's its "accuracy recovery time" that's the problem, Niko would've had to wait more than 2 full seconds to have the maximum precision, that's why he crouched to effectively lower that time, but it still is too long. Niko's best chances would've been to make sure to hit the first shot, or to shoot only twice giving more time in between

When will people just admit that the Deagle is more of a fun weapon than an actual viable one? Too many games are lost because of children with Deagles missing every shot
Because it's enough of a meme that even people who play the game for money use it. It's not like these people play the game with detailed statistical analysis moneyball style, they straight up ignored the scoped rifles for years even though they were insanely viable.

People should also take a note that NiKo had a split second to lineup that shot in a high pressure situation before the crowd would give his position away.

bullet SPREAD is the reason. It's accurate MOST OF THE TIME, not all the time. If it had laser beam accuracy, it'd most likely be OP. Can't have a $700 pistol be that powerful.

G2 played much better than NAVI most of the 2nd map and it was really only until around 14-8 or something that NAVI really kicked it into high gear and started showing why they had been undefeated so far. Either way we will never really know and its just an interesting "what if" to think about in this major.

@@notnothaze Except that it's not really a what if. It is VERY VERY VERY likely that even with winning that map, G2 would've fell short. Na'vi is the first team EVER in csgo history to go undefeated. Think hard about what insane teams we have seen, how hard we have seen some teams dominate a tournament, yet none of them have dominated a tournament as hard as na'vi did. Niko deserves a major, but this one was meant for simple no matter the way you look at it.

Of the years that I have been playing CS, I even think that 1.6 always friends and other people told me that I never put the crosshair at the center of the enemy head while using Desert Eagle, always a little higher and to the left of the enemy, as if you were aim with the angle of the crosshair, just in the same way Niko did. I don't know if it's an urban legend but it was always the way to put QOTA

there's still another possibility to consider: what if s1mple missed Niko? he moved his crosshair very erratically trying to find where he was getting shot from, and there is a sizable chance he could have overflicked, and even if he didn't as was seen in the Major; the AWP crosshair was fairly blurred when he took the shot, meaning he didn't have full accuracy (he was aiming at Niko's torso, but hit a headshot). Niko missed those three shots, but just missing them was not enough to lose them the round
with that logic, no misplay is enough to lose you the round just because the enemy has to properly take advantage of it?
B1t would have tapped the bomb and Niko would have waited 4 seconds and then rushed out, either getting the kill or dying, which wouldn't have mattered because there would have been not enough time to defuse; taking them to the 3rd and final map, where Niko would have one-tapped Navi every single round and won the game 16-0 with 80-0 and the rest of G2 would have had a 0 kdr, thus ending world hunger, creating world peace and humanity as a whole would have elevated to the next level of intelligence and technology. Instead we are here where everything is bad. Thanks s1mple....

The deagle is criminally inaccurate
Perfect video, loved it! I didn't expect anything less from you, I also love the "enhance" moments :). You see that's the real problem with the Deagle, its first shot is more or less as accurate as the AK's, it's its "accuracy recovery time" that's the problem, Niko would've had to wait more than 2 full seconds to have the maximum precision, that's why he crouched to effectively lower that time, but it still is too long. Niko's best chances would've been to make sure to hit the first shot, or to shoot only twice giving more time in between

Without that miss though I'm not sure if NaVi could have won that map of Nuke, NiKo was looking really upset on the player cams right after that round and for the rest of the game, I think that miss won them the game but not in the way people think it did

When I go into a server on aim botz.. and stand still and shoot slowly on each bot on the face .. sometimes the deagle just misses completely for no reason.
bullet SPREAD is the reason. It's accurate MOST OF THE TIME, not all the time. If it had laser beam accuracy, it'd most likely be OP. Can't have a $700 pistol be that powerful.

You'll shoot at a good range, stand still, shoot a stationary target and miss -- despite the bullet hole being exactly where his head is. Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses.
Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because *Niko* was already dead.
