A hint: when you shoot the max charged shot, don't shoot again to charge quickly. Wait the charged shot hit first because the bullet is faster than this charged shot, hitting first, causing one little bar damage and nullifying the power of the charged shot. :)
@@VanLupen When you charge up the default weapon, let the blast hit the enemy before firing again. The normal pellets move faster than the charged shot, so when you shoot a charged shot then immediately shoot a regular pellet right after, the regular pellet will hit the enemy, and a bug in the game causes the charged shot to not deal damage.
Rolling shield: the "supposed" weakness, barely does anything. Doesn't even stun him. Boomerang cutter: actually ends up helpful as it cuts off his tentacles,no longer being able to send piranhas and no more whirlpool attacks. Go the boomer way.
I remember going through several takes to not get hit. Trust me, it was luck. In fact, I still haven't been able to beat the entire game without getting hit. If it weren't for Launch, I could at least make it through all the maverick levels without a scratch, but nooooooo-gotta give the friggin' octopus an unholy arsenal of homing weapons and an overly demanding movement pattern... and we are but flies in the Vaseline.
I always fought this boss is easier to kill with the mega buster instead of the rolling shield, which is suppose to be it's weakness, am I doing something wrong?
Can someone explain the fish part, because the fish keeps following me and i can’t dodge them. Here however, they just continue into the wall and die 🤨
That's what I did, but I failed and went to Chill Penguin's stage, where I unlocked the dash, and then I tried the Launch Octopus's level and, after a lot of tries, I defeated the boss.
I hate the fish.... the fish he throws are so hard to dodge for me..... he fires to many fish and bombs for my eyes to keep track of
Me too I hate the fish for this :/
Yeah I can see why many people hate this boss if you decide to fight him first before the other ones.
0:04 Octopus: I'll show you how an artiste fights!; Here we go!
1:07 Even my explosion is beautiful.
The way he points X! Like you and me ends here! Epic!!!
I like how Launch Octopus points at you and then gives a thumbs down gesture like he's saying 'You're going down X!'.
In the PSP version, he's more egotistical

Wow thanks!!
What? I read this like 10 times and still do not get it 🤣
@@VanLupen In a nutshell: just wait the charged shot hit the boss to cause more damage. After that, you can charge a new one. ;)

Lol you make it look easy
It's easy.
You only need the dash update.
Only got it after cutting of his arms
@@leticiaalejandroperez6638 not for everyone pal, we get that you’re cool.
I got this game when it first came out, and I never knew until today you can use Kuwanger's weapon to cut his tentacles off
or you can use the boomerang cutter to cut his tentacles and use rolling shield
Omggg I love you
"even my explosions it's beautiful"
Dude what a game! Brings me a lots of good memories ☺️👍

Fuck me, you just can't use his weakness, because you have to shoot the torpedo thingys. Easily the most frustrating boss out of the 3 SNES games.

I hate the "gravity" underwater, it's annoying when I try to jump and shot
You man handled the octopus like a bitch.... nice job bro

Jose Dorda agreed. He throws too many bombs for the shield to work. to actually work.
use the boomerang and his arms get cut off then he is nothing, how dose noone know this....
That boss is fine dog, it's hard for me, that could be the Maverick I like the least xD

Launch octopus: you are going down!
X: bring in on! Squidward!
i hope you get it without killing a boss because they're hard as fuck
impossible, just beat the chill penguin and got stuck in the game.
what if you choose this boss first? lol
Lmao right?!😭
That's what I did, but I failed and went to Chill Penguin's stage, where I unlocked the dash, and then I tried the Launch Octopus's level and, after a lot of tries, I defeated the boss.
This boss is so cheep it’s like a dumb little kid’s mashing random buttons like a noob
in wich stage did you get the helmet???
Rikygamer 20 the helmet was on the eagle stage
Storm Eagle's.
I chose this stage first.... was I not supposed to?
