Everything after the first 2 or three bosses gets increasingly harder in this game. Chill Penguin & Storm Eagle are usually the 2 stages I start with, unless I want a bit of a challenge then I will play Storm Eagle’s first. There is a hidden capsule in that level that can make you headbutt bricks and get to various items. Each time you defeat a level’s boss you get one of their powers, which has an advantage in the game against specific bosses. For instance, at the very end of the game, which I still haven’t beat, Sigma’s final form. If you don’t use the bubble x-buster against him, you basically can’t win. However, each of the other bosses weaknesses before this are much more severe so their health goes down much more quickly. Love this game! Still pissed I never completed it. I got the closest when I was 7 😂

Zero was the best

I got this game when it first came out, and I never knew until today you can use Kuwanger's weapon to cut his tentacles off

I used to lose a lot like 5 times until I beat him and felt kinda good, well not really, Zero came in like a boss.

About to remake the first level in mega man x

I like how Launch Octopus points at you and then gives a thumbs down gesture like he's saying 'You're going down X!'.

Ahhhhhh the 90's: a legendary era where life was SO MUCH FUN AND SIMPLE, like for example a kid who just came home from school did his homework, watched a brand new episode of the most popular cartoon and went over to his lifelong best friend's house to play the number 1 most popular video game, like MegaMan X. It was also a legendary era where most kids DIDN'T have to worry about too much stuff, unlike now.🎮👍

Rolling shield: the "supposed" weakness, barely does anything. Doesn't even stun him. Boomerang cutter: actually ends up helpful as it cuts off his tentacles,no longer being able to send piranhas and no more whirlpool attacks. Go the boomer way.

I was a kid and played this. Good memories.

It really is the perfect intro to a game. And the cinematic moment when you're rescued by a total badass who takes out the guy who just wrecked you... games back then had to TRY to be cinematic with so little, and they pulled it off with a S+ rank.

That's probably the cheesiest tactic in a Mega Man game.
