Bro thank you for this. I've been making beats for almost 3 years now and I've always been struggling with getting sound crispy. I applied everything and am really pleased with how everything sounds.
Gem 👌👌👌I used the steps to master a beat i made and the mix turned out super clear 10x better also one of the easiest to understand mastering tutorials ive seen so far!!
Nice bro, my mastering is very similar. But there's no need to use a Soft Clipper after Maximus, as Maximus has it built in. Just adjust the 'Ceiling' knob to the left to -0.1db (Or wherever you want your output to be)
Bro..been watching you before jay cactus..and seeing you getting better day by day makes me feel like damn I can do that too you know am saying like.....God bless you and keep doing what you doing man..... And I wanna tell you that you leveled up alot and I want you to Make a video about mastering the beat..can you do that for your subscribers???
At the last step where you raised the GAIN nob in maximus, for me the DB on the master didnt go up instead DB in maximus went up and made everything distorded, why?
What do you think about vocals with this technique for a whole master of a song compression on vocal chain and then add this technique to master or should you not compress in the vocal chain going this route ?? Have been mastering beats this way but want to move on to basting entire songs this method but need advice with adding vocals to the mix first then master the whole track. Compress vocals still to control peaks then route the vocal with the instruments to Maximus or don’t not compress the vocals in the chain ? And just add to Maximus if that makes since which way would be best if at all plz respond thanks bro
If I have a drill beat which has many left and right 808 notes panned and then I merge the low end, will my 808s sound the same in headphones or they'll be mono? I want them to be panned a bit but you said to merge it all the way down. Please kindly reply 🙏🏻
Maximus looks at the frequency spectrum of the entire song and just splits it up into the three bands, it doesn't look at specific instruments. Each instrument's sound can fall into a single band (usually very deep basses, high-pitched percs or high frequency melody layers) or might be present in all 3 bands (things like big thick pads and instruments, as well as some drums like the snare).
So when youve got all your sounds with effects on them and then you highlight them all and click route to this track only and then turn it down, does it still keep the effects on the sounds?
Yeah it should. Unless you have them in an effect bus or something. If the effect’s are on the track that your routing to the sub bus then yeah the effects will stay on it. 💯
Necromorph0 yeah. The same way he used it to master, you could use it for effects or whatever, everything linked to that track would have those effects on it.
Update: i dont even use headphones now with this technique. I know how my effects are going to work and where my levels usually sit. After this all my beats turn out cold asf. My problem was definitely that i didn't know how to master properly. I started out putting my soft clipper at the top of my chain instead of the bottom
Bro thank you for this. I've been making beats for almost 3 years now and I've always been struggling with getting sound crispy. I applied everything and am really pleased with how everything sounds.
I've always used a fruity compressor with the preset fast compressor, then a stock limiter and a stock soft clipper
Nice man, that's a good combo
Ima try this
does this do the same effect as the video?
Thanks a lot man! I'm just starting out with mixing and mastering and this is super useful! Stoked for more tutorials
Happy to help!

THIS IS GOLD 🌟

THANK YOU SO MUCH!11!!!
Question, before start the Maximus process, how many do’s should the beat be at around??
if you meant how many db's it should be at, anything under 0 in your main is good
Great video man, learned some more about Maximus since I rarely use it! ✌️
Nice tutorial bro!!
Ah glad it helped bro 👊
Should I do this before I rap over the beat? Or just use the mixed beat to lay vocals on
Im honestly not too sure man, maybe after you've mixes the vocals into the beat properly
Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial !!!
Why don’t you the the thres on the master ?
super useful bro!
Glad it helped bro 👊
Thanks man
Thank You 🙌🙌Very Helpful Video🔥🔥.
At the last step where you raised the GAIN nob in maximus, for me the DB on the master didnt go up instead DB in maximus went up and made everything distorded, why?
it sounds like you have the limiter on in maximus, go to the ceiling knob and turn it to full in each band

This is coated thx so much
Awesome video🇧🇷
guess what you are super hero 😅❤️
Goooooood
My guy 🙏
does Maximus automatically find which instruments are in which frequency range
Maximus looks at the frequency spectrum of the entire song and just splits it up into the three bands, it doesn't look at specific instruments. Each instrument's sound can fall into a single band (usually very deep basses, high-pitched percs or high frequency melody layers) or might be present in all 3 bands (things like big thick pads and instruments, as well as some drums like the snare).
Why was Maximus added to bus instead of master itself?
It isn't bro, it's on the master channel
LLB oh wow smh true just noticed!
I think im bad at mxing lol the grapha for sound was way bigger
Just takes practice bro
So when youve got all your sounds with effects on them and then you highlight them all and click route to this track only and then turn it down, does it still keep the effects on the sounds?
Yeah it should. Unless you have them in an effect bus or something. If the effect’s are on the track that your routing to the sub bus then yeah the effects will stay on it. 💯
@@ProdByBallistic bet. Thank you. Whats an effect bus? Just the same thing with added effects?
Necromorph0 yeah. The same way he used it to master, you could use it for effects or whatever, everything linked to that track would have those effects on it.

You can't zoom in but you can maximize the window
Okay dope thanks bro
🔥🔥🔥
Just a see dis video me gee
How do you know how to get the master to 0?
Add a soft clipper after maximus and crank the master gain up to 0 db
You talk a bit different
Good viddeo bro 🔥
Thank you brother 😊
🙏🙏🙏
why a sub bus??
