Tips. You should have the ink lid opening when doing this. As if you are about to fill the yellow ink. Next, You can inert a syringe in the bottom of the damper, cleaning them both out at the same time. I developed a yellow clog almost a year ago. After trying many things, I bought a 2nd printer. The other day I decided to mess with it again. The yellow damper was bone dry, and the other 3 looked fine. I connected the syringe to the bottom of the yellow damped to draw ink into it. I pushed and pulled 4 or 5 times, till the damper was full and the ink was flowing both ways. I printed. Yellow printed! I ran some purge sheets and a few prints and everything was good. The next day, ONLY yellow printed. Looking at the dampers... Black, red, and blue were also bone dry. So, I repeated the process that I had done with yellow. Then, I ran 2 full page purge sheets. All good. BUT, the next day, black was not printing. I repeated the syringe on damper process 1 more time on Black. Ran a deep clean. Waited 12 hours. not printing black. Another deep clean. All colors are working again.
@@HeyLetsMakeStuff You kinda did the same thing, just in 2 processes. The main difference is for fixing my clog, I pulled the ink into the damper and pushed it back in a few times, to clear any clogged ink in the tanks or lines. (And for black to fully work again, I had to add 2 power cleans after that. But I have a spare tank on hand anyways)
To free up the print head, Turn off the printer. There is a larger gear on the far left side. Spin that towards yourself about 4 times. Now, press the print head right, then it will slide left easily.
This worked for me as well, thank you for this video. I purchased this printer new and bought what I thought was sublimation ink but it was pigment ink. Im so thankful for your video I was able to remove the pigment and add sublimation ink. Thank you so much!!
Oh Cori! You can actually empty the ink in the tanks, and then either do print head cleanings (without the worry of filing the waste tank by having a replacement one) and just print print tests until the ink changes.
You can skip the whole dismantling, and risk of breakage, and just print. Remove as much ink in the tank as you can, and tip up with new ink. It can be a different sub ink or regular ink. After printing, as you noticed your prints faded, you'll notice a change in the ink, to let you know your printer is now using the new ink.
I used the 4th method on my ET-2760. After refilling the tanks and trying to print it was not working. I remembered a Power Clean cycle that you started by power off then Holding the ? and Power buttons to turn it back on and it would ask to do a Power Clean. I followed the prompts and after 10 mins, it was printing again. Topped of the ink, and I was ready to go. Thanks for the Awesome Tutorial!
The power clean primes the damper and the lines just like when the printer is new. When you suck all the ink out you need to prime to get all the air out, which is what you did.

Can i just wait until my sublimation printer needs filling && add a different brand of sublimation or do I need totally drain the tank ... pleaee advise
I would totally drain the tank because your colors will empty at various times and you likely won't be able to print/drain the other colors when one color has run out.
If I continuously print the S25 file, mentioned here, until I run out of ink, is that the longer version of emptying an ET printer? I grabbed the wrong ink for my Epson. Now I am I wondering if I should empty the cartridge and use regular ink and get a better quality printer for my sublimation projects.
Yes, that would take quite some time. When you say "regular ink" do you mean non-sublimation ink? You won't be able to print sublimation prints unless you are using a sublimation-specific ink.

I have a question that seems to not get answered no matter where I go.?????? I want to STORE my Epson 2800. I may be shipping it to my daughter. Either way, I won't be using this printer at all. I have sublimation ink in it and once I drain the ink out....fully, do I need to flush it with cleaner of some sort? PS: My unanswered question was with EPSON SUPPORT, not you.

Hi so im at the part when i plug the syring to the tubes and im pulling and the ink wont come out at all, idk what im doing wrong. Pls help.
Hmm... is the ink dried up inside? Is the connection tight/secured? I'm not sure what else could cause it to not come out.
