    You have inspired me. I just noticed that you picked up the block by hand! Walked it inside, the engine bay!
    I am going to save on a cherry picker and assemble my turbo kit instead with that $600.00!
    God bless!
    And thank you!!!!

    Love your videos man, thanks for making them so in-depth. I'm in TX too. I bought a 1998 Civic EX coupe as a project last year, and in typical Honda fashion, it has over 220k miles and still runs fine. But I'm going to attempt my first rebuild with it. I'd be proud to rebuild the ol' D16Y8 up for boost, and I want to clean the whole car up but time & money all that. I'd really like to do it right and drive it for years. I'll be referencing your videos when I'm working on it and I'll make sure I keep supporting the channel! Good luck man

    Dude mad respect on knowing how to build and have fun with it but im trying to do the same build on motor but not very educated and was wondering if you do other people's builds? Because if so i would like to see if possible to have my motor build by Texas Honda Channel. Thanks man.

    • @TexasHondaChannel
      @TexasHondaChannel  4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      shon luna I usually do builds for other people but the only issue is there is so much that can go wrong and people blame the mechanic or tuner. I don’t have insurance to cover any mess ups. The break in process of not done right can cause issues and then I have to pay for it and I literally don’t have money. I would love to build it but without insurance as a shop I can’t take the risk of getting sued if any Thing goes wrong.

    • @TexasHondaChannel
      @TexasHondaChannel  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Boosted Fool Well it varies from person to person. After 300miles I Changed my oil and gave her hell and it’s holding up. Most people say get out there after the rings are sealed and beat on it. Others say wait till 200 miles drain oil then drain oil again at 600 then 1000miles then your good to beat on it.

    You should make a review on the no notch speed factory rods and vitara pistons.. have you heard good things about them?
    I know you're using maxspeedingrods but I would want to know if you have heard any bad or good feedback on SP rods

      The price and that they don't handle as much power on them. But otherwise they hold up good.

    I want to instal cp Carrillo pistons standard size and rods also standard size…. Should I increase the circumference of the sleeves? Or does fits everything without doing any work on the block?

      U said standard pistons which is 75mm so you don't need to bore out the block

    Do you have two channels?

    4:25 those are actually snap rings, not c clips. C clips dont have any holes, they normally just push in and out over a groove in a shaft
