Hollis - We here in the UK are not really in a position to give judgement as we do not know what is actually happening. Only what the news stations and media’s are saying. All I know is that looting, destroying property and violence does not help anyone.
We were fishing off a trawler off the coast of Scotland caught 2 Pollack and 2 decent Cod, gave one Pollack away, threw the other on the beach for the Seagulls and made some amazing meals with the Cod..... They steam beautifully.....
One of my favorite parts is when he looks into the camera and smiles it makes. My day

It's pretty rare you find somebody who actually cares about a fish. That's 1 reason why I like your channel so much. You don't take what isn't needed. Sometimes you have to, but catch and release is very important. Always fun to watch you. Thank you for sharing.

Live on Pollack and saithe like that! Two of my favorites. Used to fly fish for them off the Greater Cumbrae in the Firth of Clyde. Always a great day fishing.

The way you treated the pollack that didn't make it was commendable mate. Harsh reality is some fish don't make it, that one will feed the family or the pots so not a waste. Another great informative film. Cheers 👍

Hi RICHARD HAYWARD here, I agree with you totally, if you are scratching for bait it can work well. Pollack are better on a float as they can dive into the nearest bit of kelp they can find.

Good video. Lots of nice pollack and that sea cucumber was indeed a strange one.
I once caught a Hedgehog on the fly when I was night fishing for seatrout... strange, but true.
Might be worth asking around for viewers strangest catches.
- Was the hedgehog at least in the water?
@@TheFishLocker Yes it was. It must have fallen in. It was about two in the morning so I couldn't see what it was at first. I lifted it up by the line and thought I'd hooked a coconut :-) I grabbed it and got the surprise of my life and some spines in my hand. I unhooked it and it walked away none the worse for its adventure.

Truly awesome channel! I'm quickly making my way through all of your videos.
I have recently made a bit of a switch from fresh water fishing to sea fishing and I would have struggled a lot more without your channel. After a couple of blank sessions I caught my first bass last Thursday (and second and third!) and wouldn't have done it without the top class info on this channel!
I love how the channel isn't simply about the fish but everything that goes with it, the appreciation of nature, the foraging, surroundings and the family!
All I can say is thanks a lot and I look forward to the next video.

I've fished the River Clyde since I was a lad and always tales from the older generation about cod the same height as a grown man but the river suffered from major pollution and there were even warnings not to eat the shellfish.. Its slowly getting better 👍

- I have read about a type of fish that lives inside a sea cucumber but thought they were only in foreign ( tropical ) waters. We have a few more nice videos in editing coming up. 😊

I remember fishing on Arran. We fished razor and limpets and caught so many wrasse!! Beautiful ballans. Blues, pink... stunning fiah. Lost count
