    Hello from the Netherlands, after 50 years of motorcycling ao Jawa, NSU MAX, Harley WLA 750, Suzuki Intruder 700, Suzuki Intruder 1400, Yamaha 1100, Honda Shadow 600, Harley Sportster 883 and 1200, Harley Fxrs 1988, Harley WLA 750 now after 5 years ago, at the age of 74, a Royal Enfield 350 had been bought, the black one. I fell in love with this all-new model instantly, and what a great bike I've already ridden 1000 kilometers with pleasure and every kilometer is a party. The bike steers very easily every corner can be taken smoothly, everything works great and it looks great, a nice rumble from the exhaust as an extra. Both on the highway and on the back roads no problem at all, oh yes, at my age and after a car accident I can't move my right leg over the passenger backrest, so it was quickly removed. Can highly recommend this motorcycle to anyone who genuinely loves motorcycling, greetings from the Netherlands from Rob

      Hi Branden, I ride my Meteor in the southern Adelaide foothills. Similar roads to yours with speed limits 80 to 100kmh. This bike will set very good point to point times, handling and sharp turning allow fast entry into a corner, turn and full gas out. Hard to believe it only has 20 hp. I also have a 650 Interceptor, but now find I'm having more fun on the Meteor. Food for thought. Cheers from Australia.

It's simple enough to do your own maintenance. Soon after I got my Meteor 350, my recently retired neighbor across the street got himself one after downsizing from a big bike... :)

    • @markymarknj
      @markymarknj 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@abskulOfficial it's one of the Meteor 350's trim levels; it's the bike's top trim levels, actually. There are the Fireball, the Stellar, and the Supernova. The various trim levels have different paint jobs, different colorways, and different equipment. The Supernova gets a two tone paint job, chromed out exhaust, a backrest, and the nice windshield. OTOH, my Fireball comes in one color (mine is yellow); there's no chrome logo on the tank(mine has black lettering on it); the Fireball Meteor 350s are blacked out, which I like; it came with no backrest; and it came with no windshield. I was fine with no backrest, as I carry no passengers; besides, with my arthritic knees, I couldn't mount the bike if it had a backrest. I ended up installing a blacked out fly screen, which added to the bike's aesthetic. So yeah, the Supernova is the Meteor 350's top trim level.

    Gotta say I'm pretty glad the Meteor is my first bike, it's been great to learn on and even at 6'1" it's been very comfortable to ride (and no I'm not getting paid to write this, hah!). I think there's still a bit of a lingering reputation of the shoddy builds from earlier rattlers though, some dealers have lectured me about the allegedly poor quality of RE, but since they came out with the 650 twins I reckon they've been kicking solid goals - I kinda want a Himalayan now as well for the weekend camping trips!

    Excellent video, I passed my A2 a few months ago. I subsequently purchased the Royal Enfield Meteor 350. I can honestly say I adore this bike. As a first bike, it's been amazing. Obviously, I live in the UK, and I've not found it a problem at all. It sits happily at 65mph on the motorway, and I've done three hour road trips multiple times it just cruises along happily. It's also great for a sunday ride on the country roads. Couldn't recommend this bike enough for beginer riders like myself.

    The thing with this bike or any RE is that it will allow you to look at scenery around you, admire the beauty of nature, look at beautiful sunsets and lets you sunk in all of this because unlike those huge V-twins cruiser or liter class cornering demons on which you have to be concentrated on the road continuesly or you might crash, on a RE you can relax, Take a look around, you don't have to put 100% of concentration on riding and riding it doesn't take a toll on your body.
    Most of the moto journalists have a same scale to mark every bike... Can it corner, what's the top speed, what's the acceleration etc... etc...
    They need to understand there are bikes made to do different kind of stuff so rank them on the basis of it. Do not bring up topics like top speed or acceleration when talking about RE because you don't bring up topic of seating comfort while talking about a R1

      Yeah, the service is more frequent, but it's easy to do; you can do most of it yourself. The valves are dead easy. I'm the proud owner of one! I have been since September, 2021, soon after they came to the US. As a retired person, I like the Meteor 350. It's easy to move around, an important consideration for my arthritic knees. It's easy on the wallet, another important consideration when you're on a fixed income. Finally, it's simple enough to do most of your own maintenance, which helps reduce running costs. BTW, the Meteor 350 is my 12th bike; though it's not the biggest I've ever owned, it's among the best I've ever had. I LOVE IT!

      @@twpsyn take a look at the 1950’s Royal Enfield 500 twin. The frame is completely different then the modern interceptor. That is what they should try to reproduce. Make the engine bore smaller and keep the stroke the same length to give the engine low down torque instead of higher horsepower. I doubt a classic pushrod 500cc single is returning due to stricter emissions regulations and vibration issues. Greetings from a fellow UCE 500 rider.

    Just ordered myself a Fireball to replace an unreliable ER6n. I only use it for a short ride to work and occasional errands. The price was right for me and although I was worried it would be too slow compared to the Kawasaki after a demo I was sold. I’m not a thrill seeker so the performance was perfectly adequate for me, I found the seating position surprisingly comfy after dismissing it when they first came out as I’d started on a scooter and didn’t feel safe with my feet forward, it turned out my issue was the lack of anything between my knees. Picking it up on Tuesday, can’t wait.

    i love the looks of this new model and allready own an 650 interceptor but the one thing i notice about these review video's is that most of them are done on reasonably flat mediocre roads, and none, what i've seen, are done in the yorkshire dales, or similar areas where there are hills a plenty and some of the roads are in poor condition , as this area is on my doorstep and where i do most of my riding and the fact that i'm knocking on a bit ( 71 and been riding since 16 ) and don't do long runs anymore, and that i'm used to riding bikes with a bit more grunt, i.e 50bhp and above i'm worried that if i bought one i would be dissapointed with the hill climbing abillity of this 20bhp bike, i'm not chasing speed anymore like i was at 16 so the top speed ( 70 mph claimed ) would not be a problem and i could use one of my other bikes if i needed to go further or faster but the thought is still there, would it do the job, ?

    Lovely looking bike but seems to be crazy underpowered.. Can't believe it gets such few horses out of the 350 engine.
    I ride a Honda CB300R which is technically a 286cc engine and it still knocks out about 31bhp, easily climbing to the 95mph mark before fully running out of steam.
    Still, speed isn't everything and it looks to be an ideal commuter with head turning looks. (Especially for the RRP.) 👌

    People say these are slow and yes they are but you can sit at 70 mph all day and with the amount of traffic, smart motorways and cameras everywhere it's not really possible to go fast anymore. I've been riding for over 37 years and I think it is a good option. I remember touring on old (now) 550cc bikes from the 1970s. I do think some get brainwashed into thinking they need a massive, fast heavy bike to have fun.

    I've always been one to make fun of the cruiser look, but these are different... It's more upright and comfortable looking. Looks like the position you are in when in an ergonomic office chair at work. Royal Enfield bikes, all of them, are also so stylish. The paint look great and the gauges look just incredible. While the gameboy screen like you get on all the Japanese bikes is functional, seeing the RE gauges makes you realize those gameboy screens are just the manufacturer cheaping out. But the RE is cheaper anyways! Incredible really. It would be nice if they'd put a cam in their bikes that helped them make another 5 HP though. 20 is... pretty low. Like well slower than most economy cars these days at this bikes weight. But if you are just cruising around town and riding backroads and not in a hurry it really doesn't matter anyways. I hope to see more and more of these on the road in the coming years. Haven't seen one yet though, and I am just 30 miles from a dealer.
