A nice intro to an interesting little bike that so far I’ve largely ignored - perhaps I’ll pop into Balmer Lawn for a closer gawp. Watch those 45s in the Forest though, yeah? 👍
This is just another home run from Royal Enfield! I have been to my local dealer to sit on the bike. Firstly, they are just beautiful, and they do not come across as a small bike when you are standing next to it. Handling the bike, it feels very solid! Definitely not a toy bike. I love the Interceptor 650, but I am 56 years old, and have not ridden in over 25 years. I just don't know that I need that much bike. My heart is torn. I also like to explore dirt roads. Mostly groomed, or gravel forest service roads. I really love the feel of the back tire drifting back and forth in the gravel. I think the 650 may be better suited for that. Sigh. I think I am going to just have to wait for the moment, and buy according to my gut feeling at the time. But then again...they may have a Himalayan style two cylinder bike out by then. Hmmm. Another monkey wrench in the works.
@@kevindarkstar I will be looking at whatever they come out with this year, or next. I have looked at, and sat on the current Himalayan, and it just doesn't fit me. My knees don't sit where they should.

non adjustable forks can be adjusted. first the oil. softest is using auto transmission fluid, its intended use is far more demanding than suspension. it has excellent extreme pressure lubricity, good corrosion inhibitors by using double the amount the air volume in the fork leg decreases and acts as a progressive spring. on normal bump no change but on a big hit or landing from big air the forks will never bottom out, the high pressure air inside prevents it

Thanks for the review. I am a new rider and looking for a new bike. I'm 5'7" too so I think for size, the cost and the 3yr warranty plus it looks really good! I'm going to go pretty much buy it.
Hey..let me know how u enjoy it. I'm 5 7 as well, and am looking for my first ride. Would u all recommend getting license first and learn riding from a school, or get it and take this bike to riding school and learn?
I have various old Brits, Enfield 535 Lightning and a 19 plate Himmy. I went for a test ride on a Meteor and I really like it apart from it being brand new. If it’s like my Himmy it’ll get better as the mileage increases. I’ve ridden Guzzis and Harleys so I liked the heel/toe gear change. I might sell an old Brit and have enough money to buy two.😃
Great review. I stand and smile next to my Meteor when I'm not on it. Its the smoothest single cylinder machine I've ever ridden. Riding it is a pleasure, literally makes the process itself a wonderful way to spend your time. It's got just enough power and it feels like a much bigger bike. At country lane speeds it's not a slouch. It gets to the point firmly and with plenty of confident torque. Standard seat seems fine, but I probably up for a touring seat just for the stitching. I can see myself holding on to this for a while.
Its a fantastic bike , but do your own servicing, its a doddle because sadly the dealers will rob you blind , and may not even carry out the work they say they have . This is in my humble opinion the best 350 cruiser ever made by any company, its just a real peach of a bike 😊 thanks for the review 👍
Phew Mark, ordered one 3 weeks ago but was on tenterhooks until you reviewed it and you concurred with me luckily! First bike in ??? years that actually put a smile on the face so cannot wait for that dealer phone call saying it's not stuck in the Suez canal, know what I mean?
Great Video.....So informative.....all the way from India.....luv your vidz Mark :) .... try the Honda H'ness CB 350 too..... and a new Royal Enfield Classic 350 is on the way.... releasing on 4rth Sept 2021
I just did my cbt a few months ago, when I have to renew it in a year and a half, I will get my full license…I’m probably going to get this as my first proper bike!
Excellent comprehensive review as always, a bit of a rich mans toy imo,but love the maroon colour, which seems to be rare to find on todays modern bikes!
LOL, a cue card taped to the tank? Maybe somebody will make a bar-mounted teleprompter, so one can keep their eyes on the road. I really enjoyed this content as there is not enought coverage of Royal Enfield. Really cool to see RE aren't resting on their laurels.
Bought one. It's as good as the review says. Mine has the standard seat, which is perfectly comfortable and no screen. ( But Santa is coming!) The only downside is that I have a new Huawei phone and the Tripper will not work with it, (yet) but as I normally know where I am going it's no big deal! Love it!
It's is lovely. And I wanted one. But it seems now RE has more upright version coming out soon which I think will suit me better. I think it will be called the Hunter.
The right bike for many a good reason. One can’t even get a good electric mtb for this kind of money. Provided one doesn’t try going silly speeds, a cracking little machine. I think RE should style a little cafe racer around his engine - perhaps put some spoked wheels on it with another disc up front and they’d be on to another winner.
Nice, but very heavy for a 350. Should really be around 170kg wet. I'm wondering whether they are planning to release a 500cc version using the same chassis, weighing about the same but with 30bhp. Now that would get my interest!
RE is actually in final testing stage for 650 cruiser called Shotgun. You can check it out spy videos are available on youtube. It will be the twin cylinders not single cylinder.
I'm getting caught up in the riptide. I've already got two REs, do I hear 3.. and will the 350 meteor lead to a 650 shotgun? Very fitting. I'm quitting cold turkey, right after the next test ride.. lol
Good review, thank you sir. Love the bike, i compare it with the Hyosung Aquila 300 and the Benelli imperial 400. If Honda does take the H'ness (cb350) to Europe as the planned then it get a difficult choice but for now this Royal Enfield is the winner for me. I wil buy next year after winter time. Thank you again for this review, it help me a lot. Greetings from Belgium.
Great review as usual Mark. Twenty BHP out of a 350 cc engine is a little low. No doubt someone will come out with a compression kit for it. Piston and other mods.Thank you.
I'm guessing Re uk deem our roads and environment to be easier on our bikes than the roads in India ?...plus quality of oils available ...I'm not too sure ..... anybody else ????
@@markpulling12 I think the service manuals do suggest to do a mandatory Valve check every six month in UK as well I'm not sure. Here servicing is not as expensive as UK, say a maximum of around 30 euros for full servicing and most people never service their bikes on their own also the +45 degree celcius hot working conditions at some places means the entire bikes works at very demanding conditions and also humid at many places. I'm sure the valve clearance needed in India and UK are very different as well. Let's not forget the factor that there's about more than 1000 odd offical service centers in India, you can find one of these way easier than finding a McDonald's at India, it's just the scale which makes it easier for them to run servicing cheaper compared to how it's done in UK. So valve check or not, they just recommend people bring it to the service center guys and I think it costs around 10 euros or something.
Hello, my new friend. Wow, it's a very interesting and healing motorcycle 💛🌹💜 video. I'm glad to be your great channel friend 💛💖💜 Have a happy day 💝💗💞 👍👍👍🤙👌
Not sure if this has come up but the supernova in this video isn’t standard. You have the bar end mirrors and touring seat which are both optional extras. Standard comes with usual chrome mirrors and a dark brown seat. I think this seat and mirrors up the price a bit, but not 100% on that.
The very underrated joys of slow biking!

Thanks for the review. I am a new rider and looking for a new bike. I'm 5'7" too so I think for size, the cost and the 3yr warranty plus it looks really good! I'm going to go pretty much buy it.
Thanks Raymond great choice ☺️
Hey..let me know how u enjoy it. I'm 5 7 as well, and am looking for my first ride. Would u all recommend getting license first and learn riding from a school, or get it and take this bike to riding school and learn?
I have one on order - 5 weeks and counting, very popular bike. Incidentally the bar end mirrors are not standard. Nice review really enjoyed it.
Yes thanks James ...I realized about the mirrors soon after I posted the video.best regards mark
Reminds me of the the last gen Triumph speedmaster but smaller. Love to tour on this.
The look of the engine reminds me of triumphs engines :)
exactly, same thought here.
I might sell an old Brit and have enough money to buy two.😃
Thanks mark I absolutely loved the meteor engine ...just purrs

6,000 miles between oil changes seems too long?
Great review. I stand and smile next to my Meteor when I'm not on it. Its the smoothest single cylinder machine I've ever ridden. Riding it is a pleasure, literally makes the process itself a wonderful way to spend your time. It's got just enough power and it feels like a much bigger bike. At country lane speeds it's not a slouch. It gets to the point firmly and with plenty of confident torque. Standard seat seems fine, but I probably up for a touring seat just for the stitching. I can see myself holding on to this for a while.
Thanks great bike :)
Great review Mark. I am picking up mine in 2 days
Ooh I'm jealous ;)
Lovely engine
Its a fantastic bike , but do your own servicing, its a doddle because sadly the dealers will rob you blind , and may not even carry out the work they say they have . This is in my humble opinion the best 350 cruiser ever made by any company, its just a real peach of a bike 😊 thanks for the review 👍
Wish they offered spoke wheels as an option.
Seriously a great choice
Loved it ☺️
That engine is wonderful

@@markpulling12 Meant to write straight after review , there is a superb led headlight display which somehow we didn't see on during your ride?
@@drdoolittle5724 yes it's a drl led ring arround the headlight :)
Found that out yesterday !
Great Video.....So informative.....all the way from India.....luv your vidz Mark :) .... try the Honda H'ness CB 350 too..... and a new Royal Enfield Classic 350 is on the way.... releasing on 4rth Sept 2021
Thanks Amal I like the sound of the classic 350
Best regards to india :)
Great review.. love from India
Hi many thanks 😊
Lovely looking bike, these Royal Enfield's are bargains!
I just did my cbt a few months ago, when I have to renew it in a year and a half, I will get my full license…I’m probably going to get this as my first proper bike!
Great choice
Ps Sur Ron's look great fun !
Great little machine. Not really loving the forward set footrests but this is a serious proper bike. Thanks for the usual great review.
Thanks David ... lovely to ride ...feels and looks premium..the classic model is due soon
Cheers mark
Excellent comprehensive review as always, a bit of a rich mans toy imo,but love the maroon colour, which seems to be rare to find on todays modern bikes!
Thanks pat royal enfield have really upped their game with this ;)
LOL, a cue card taped to the tank? Maybe somebody will make a bar-mounted teleprompter, so one can keep their eyes on the road. I really enjoyed this content as there is not enought coverage of Royal Enfield. Really cool to see RE aren't resting on their laurels.
Bought one. It's as good as the review says. Mine has the standard seat, which is perfectly comfortable and no screen. ( But Santa is coming!) The only downside is that I have a new Huawei phone and the Tripper will not work with it, (yet) but as I normally know where I am going it's no big deal! Love it!
Thanks Anthony glad you're pleased with it 😌
Thank you Mark for another really nice review. .
Thank you for fabulous reviews Mark! So splendid!!!
Thanks Michael my pleasure
Thanks for the review. I am looking at buying one in the very near future to replace my ageing Honda Shadow 200.
Many thanks Deb 😊
It's is lovely. And I wanted one. But it seems now RE has more upright version coming out soon which I think will suit me better. I think it will be called the Hunter.
Thanks looking forward to that one ☺️
yes. coming soon and classic 350 with the same engine will also be a great option plus the heritage look of RE.
@@bpgrmds I do think there is a market for bikes with low(er) capacities that just chug a long.
Yes the Hunter does look a bit more modern as well.
@@kyakaruvlogs2784 Yes. I want that engine (and modest styling) more than I want the bike.
My Royal Enfield Meteor came with led headlamp running lights, also you didn't mention it is fuel injection so no carbs.
Thanks....it's a given that all modern bikes are fuel injection these days
Best wishes mark .
What a lovely machine! Thanks for the review! Triumph need to lower their prices and sell more!
Thanks David a thoroughly charming bike to ride
Cheers mark
Top Notch Machine. FGM
Excellent review as always. Would love to see you review the Classic 500 - giving your thoughts on how the two compare/differ in ride/feel.
Thanks Simone I'll try and get hold of one :)
Thanks, I’ll look forward to it :)
Nice real world review Mark. Thank you for your work.
Many thanks John :)
Today I test rode one from Damerells in Cornwall I loved it so much I bought one there and then just gotta wait up to 8 weeks but worth it 👌
Thanks Jason great choice 😊
The right bike for many a good reason. One can’t even get a good electric mtb for this kind of money. Provided one doesn’t try going silly speeds, a cracking little machine. I think RE should style a little cafe racer around his engine - perhaps put some spoked wheels on it with another disc up front and they’d be on to another winner.
Yes Nigel my emtb cost more than this !!
Best review of this bike I have seen well done 👍 regards Trevor
Thanks Trevor .... fabulous bike to ride
Cheers mark
I would buy it. My days of fast riding are behind me.
Thanks.
I’m going for the 650 to complement my Triumph Daytona on a 06. Why complicate matters. Great content and no shitty music✌️
Many thanks 👍
Best wishes mark
Hopefully going to test ride one of these soon. Could be a really great commuter.
Thanks Alex they are lovely to ride :)
that looks very smart and well finished ,, good price with extras that dont cost the earth...
Thanks Simon lovely to ride 😌
Very good, and fair review of this great little single. I almost want one.
I definitely want one dale !
Cheers mark
It's quite handsome. It would make an excellent campus bike in the US.
Thanks Chris
Nice, but very heavy for a 350. Should really be around 170kg wet. I'm wondering whether they are planning to release a 500cc version using the same chassis, weighing about the same but with 30bhp. Now that would get my interest!
I totally agree 😃
RE is actually in final testing stage for 650 cruiser called Shotgun.
You can check it out spy videos are available on youtube.
It will be the twin cylinders not single cylinder.
That would be cool!
I'm getting caught up in the riptide. I've already got two REs, do I hear 3.. and will the 350 meteor lead to a 650 shotgun? Very fitting. I'm quitting cold turkey, right after the next test ride.. lol
Hi Mark I bought the same stellar red... elegant colour
Great choice pavan very classy
Excellent review. Please review the Classic 350 (New Born) too.
Yes definitely soon as it's here in the uk
Regards mark
Good review, thank you sir. Love the bike, i compare it with the Hyosung Aquila 300 and the Benelli imperial 400. If Honda does take the H'ness (cb350) to Europe as the planned then it get a difficult choice but for now this Royal Enfield is the winner for me. I wil buy next year after winter time. Thank you again for this review, it help me a lot. Greetings from Belgium.
Hi Danny thanks 😊
Great review as usual Mark. Twenty BHP out of a 350 cc engine is a little low. No doubt someone will come out with a compression kit for it. Piston and other mods.Thank you.
Thanks Colin yes it bimbles along nicely at 60/70 mph but a little bit more power would be nice
Cheers mark
It is capable of doing more, but there is a general consensus that there is an electronic limit on the meteor
why is there such a huge difference between service intervals between India and UK?
@@arunvignesh7015 thanks very much
good review. getting mine in about 4 weeks. its on order.
Thanks John ... great choice ,:)
Hello, my new friend.
Wow, it's a very interesting and healing motorcycle 💛🌹💜 video.
I'm glad to be your great channel friend 💛💖💜
Have a happy day 💝💗💞
👍👍👍🤙👌
Thanks 👍😊 best regards mark
Not sure if this has come up but the supernova in this video isn’t standard. You have the bar end mirrors and touring seat which are both optional extras. Standard comes with usual chrome mirrors and a dark brown seat. I think this seat and mirrors up the price a bit, but not 100% on that.
Yes thanks Dave yes previous people have noted this
Cheers anyway mark
Great review...... very honest and realistic. Really enjoyed it👍
