  • Hey everyone! First of all, congratulations on getting through years 12 and 13 - they are tough regardless of exams!!! For anyone heading off to uni (which I assume you are if you're watching this lol)... woo you did it, now let's help take some pressure off for when you get there. This video is a quick guide to preparing for your first tutorial or supervision and subsequent tutorials. Enjoy :)

    This was the video I needed - I’m so excited to start Oxford this October but tutorials low key scare me 😂

    This is actually SO helpful! I'm going to Oxford in October and I never wrote an english essay before as I studied in Germany and the idea of small tutorials in Oxford is great but also extremely DAUNTING! Thanks for your advice and emboldening words

      I'm so glad :) Good luck!!!! I'm hoping to do a socially distanced meet up in Oxford at some point once it's allowed and things have calmed down so maybe I'll see you then xxx

    This was so helpful (even tho I don't really have tutorials at my uni lol)! You're really good at structuring your videos and thoughts and it makes it super easy to follow! Also that necklace method for structuring arguments actually makes so much sense!
    thank you for reminding us that asking for help and clarification is okay, it's something I struggle with a lot and I know most students do as well, so hearing some encouragement was very nice 😊

    It is Rosie Crawford that helped me solidify areas of my book on the symbolism behind the Oxford hat. Thanks Rosie.

    What was the name of the anthropology website you used for help? I haven’t had any luck searching.

    I'm curious, what happens if you get a tutor that you don't get on with. If you really don't like your tutor or if your tutor doesn't like you, is there anything you can do?

    • @RosieCrawford
      @RosieCrawford  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't personally experienced this but you will never be with only one tutor for the whole time. There will likely be a different tutor for each module and I would assume that if you wanted to make a complaint or swap tutor for whatever reason you could go and see your undergraduate coordinator. I know the Arch and Anth one is lovely x

      @@RosieCrawford Thank you. I know I got a few teachers I really didn't like in high school, and I just had to suffer through it, so I wondered what it would be like in such a small group setting.
