Metal detecting with the Garrett REAPER coil

Today we do some metal detecting with Annemiek from Simons metal detecting.
She was selected by Garrett to test out the new REAPER coil.
And she asked me to have a go with it too.
The reaper coil is not for sale in the Netherlands yet so it is extra cool to be one of the first to test it out.
The fields where we went metal detecting do not hold to many finds.
But when a target is there most of the time it will be a deep target.
The Garrett REAPER coil is very big but not to heavy if you have some muscle in your arms.
We tested the REAPER coil on a few holes and compared the signals.
Most of the time the signal was clearer with the viper coil.
It took me some time to get the settings right.
But in the end the REAPER coil dit a good job finding some deep targets.
I can say the REAPER goos deeper for sure.
Used under the right circumstances you will have a lot of fun with this new Garrett coil.

We are waiting now to go into our new home.
Most of the paper work is finaly done 😅.

Just ordered the Reaper coil for my AT MAX looking forward to seeing what I can pull from 1800s wild west pioneer cabins and ghost towns. Looking forward to knowing what lies beneath that coil will find it, great video, cheers from 9k at altitude in Colorado.

Thinking about maybe getting the reaper coil that or the Tornado Coil which would you recommend?
I think they are both fine coils.
I would get the one that is the lightest.

Yes it goes deep for sure.
In the right field/place it is a very nice coil.
The hard part is to get is quiet in the field.
Sometimes it gives a lot of scattering sounds.
After playing with the max I got it working nice.
Ground balance is important to get right.
