Sheepshead skin is so tough that I like to leave the fillet on the body and just cut off the skin. Pan fry it on both sides, and pull away the meat from the bones; less waste that way. You get the head/cheek meat that way, too.
I made a mistake with the pronunciation of the lithium battery brand, it's "Li (lee) Time" Get one here: Li Time Battery 12V 100 Amp Hr Battery bit.ly/3D3Qm8O Save 4% (Discount code is JC4) _
Epic!!!! I bought a sheeps head at the Buford farmers market in buford GA. It cost me $19 and change for 1 med.. size fish. Cant wait to get back down there and catch some free ones!!!
@@j.mimoso4767 I make the trip every 2 or 3 weeks long drive about 1.5hrs each way depending on how many idiots are on i285. Next trip im going with some yellow tail snapper. Their ribeye's are awesome too.
Awesome free battery JC. Love my Lion Energy ones (2) from Costco. Cost about $700 each but worth it, at least so far. My 12' Jon boat can go about 4mph with an 85lb trolling motor.
Ha, that's the same garlic that I use. Much easier and very tasty. Thank you JC. I'm usually a once a week kinda guy but last week was 8 days straight. I'm licking my wounds and resting up for Thursday. Was cool and very windy last week. Oh and tons of fun.
Man, JC, you gotta stop it!! You be making me hungry with all those delicious shore lunches you be hooking up bro lol!! That sheepshead looked so good, I wish I was a starving shipwrecked sailor that had stumbled across you lol!! You got into them good though, those were some tanks you tangled with, mud crabs seems to be the golden ticket! Great video brother 😁 👍🏾 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I went to visit family in Stuart Florida, idk why I didn't fish when I was down there, I love fishing and I guess I didn't realize that I was in one of the best States for fishing.
Hey JC great video, but please be careful at that spot, I know it to well. I have picked up tons of syringe 💉 needles there, and I see you are bare foot. Also watch your car or truck lots of break ins there.
I wonder if they’d still bite on a steel leader. It wouldn’t get cut off on the piping’s as easy. What do you think? Happy your back home on the salty sea!
Yeah. I don't know, they're very visual eaters. I've seen schools of sheepshead on jetties, but the second they see you... you'll never get a bite them again for the rest of the day.
I fish with family and friends periodically. I also fish with other TH-camrs who have plenty of longform videos on their channels. If viewers would like to fish with me they can email me and I'll share the guidelines of the channel.
Whoa JC! That was quite the experience when that cap came off! I had to back that up and freeze it. Hmmmmmm that explains a lot😎. Why not just shave it and go natural?
Keeper sheeper 🗣🗣😂😂. Classic when you say that.

@@brianjmt5213They have a decent variety of fish to choose from, that's for sure. I'll be using those crabs to hopefully catch some bridge monsters

Food looked delicious. Great content man
Tight work on the Sheep's. Some fish probably freeze ok but my preference is to cook em up the same day or next day. Always enjoyed a shore lunch.
You should try the cranka crab in the mud crab color.

I don't have salt water gear, but I could of cleaned rod and reels and WD-40.
People say sheepshead are difficult to fillet... well try fileting big tilapia, they are tough as nails! Nice job brother looked delicious 🍻
See you 10 dollar rad is still working. Keep up the good work
Great video as always.

Also if you head north in stead of south there are rock structures past the mangrove, lots of reddrum and trout. I Wade there.👍🏽

jc are you not in the panhandle anymore? that looks like sw fl
Were do you find the mud crabs?
always look for rocks along the shore. Usually it low tide
So where do you catch your mud crabs? Also, what is the difference between them a fiddler crabs?
find rocks at low tide and flip them.
Im getting that Coleman stover! Awesome vids man, how do you feel about Ugly Stik?
I own several. They are readily available and have a great warranty, UGLY TOUGH TOO! Here's a video of them th-cam.com/video/OzwxxXfH-cY/w-d-xo.html
I'm really enjoying your videos and hope you have 100K subscribers before the end of the year.
I've got a kayak, I'm in Pinellas. Come on over let's catch some sheepies (I've got some good spots) and I'll introduce you to Sheepshead Chowder.

I'm not sure about that. The water's very clear.

Where can I get the rod and reel from and name
Rod is at Walmart, reel Diawa BG 2500
Hook and size?

Just a suggestion your second kayak camera is pointed too high.
