One of the funniest parts they left out of the movie: When Harry is leaving the common room after drinking liquid luck, hes actually under the invisibility cloak. Ginny and her current boyfriend (cant remember the name) were going into the room, and he hits Ginny with his shoulder iirc. That starts an argument between them because her boyfriend is "controlling" and always "telling her what to do and where to go", something along those lines, They break up after that fight. So Harry can shoot his shot.
And Ron's girlfriend, Lavender Brown, sees Ron and Hermione coming out of the boy's dormitory, but not Harry because he was under the invisibility cloak, which causes Ron and Lavender to break up, so Harry actually caused 2 break ups
Which wouldn't make sense in the movie timeline because Ginny and Harry kiss before the liquid luck scene happens, so that would mean that Ginny cheated on Dean. The movies barely followed this particular book tho so maybe that's why the timeline is off.
@@grace19005 I've always thought Ginny and Dean have broken up by then, especially with that scene with Ginny arriving at Slughorn's dinner party late with red eyes because of her fight with Dean, so the cheating angle just didn't register to me then 😅
FYI, in the books, they explained that Snape's dad was a muggle and his mom was a witch (half-blood), and also his mom's last name was "Prince". TADA "Half-Blood Prince".🎉
@@voxorox the entire point of the story here is to show Snape for how utterly brilliant he is. If Voldemort never happened Snape likely becomes a powerful dark wizard himself. Voldemort killing Lily is the only reason Snape turned. He was more intelligent and just as powerful as Voldemort, just didn't have horcruxes.
13:36 "Ginny plays Quidditch?" Yes, and she's not trying out she's actually already on the team. She made the team in "Order of the Phoenix" when she replaced Harry as seeker because Umbridge banned him from playing. All of this is of course not in the movie, lol. She then went on to be the best Chaser on the team when Harry returned to his Seeker position. I said in a comment on your last video. She is the most underrated character in the entire series. There is nothing that girl can't do.
She actually wasn’t already on the team. Her spot the previous year was Harry’s and since he reclaimed it, she had to tryout for Chaser. The only given spot was Harry’s. Katie told him that the worst mistake he could make was giving people a spot without making sure they were the best.

@@joedunams7505 no I get you. The movies frustrate me because they changed so much of the little things that do actually contribute to the plot. Like the fact that Sirius sent Harry his broom for Christmas and it caused a lot of drama, and just the overall lack of Quidditch in the series. They only ever had 1 game in a movie which is understandable for time purposes but disappointing. Because the casual viewer who never read the books misses so much. And I’ll never forgive GoF for butchering the Quidditch World Cup
She’s the most underrated cos the movies did her dirty. Her in the books was 😍amazing character in personality. The movies made her look like an awkward timid girl when in the books she’s one of the most badass characters
the scene where Hermione and harry relate to each other at 17:30 is more genius than you think, it shows Harry and Hermione both having someone to turn to, and ron having a girl, but as it pans out at 18:02 it shows draco not having anyone to turn to.
Just FYI: Severus Snape is calling himself the 'Half-Blood Prince' because his blood status is half-blood (father was a muggle, mother was a witch). His mother's name was Eileen Prince, thus Severus became the 'Half-Blood Prince'. Edit: The father was of course a muggle, not muggle-born as previously stated.
Two interesting things that probably flew over your head in that flashback when Dumbledore meets Tom for the first time In his room there are 7 rocks in the window (to convey that he was kinda obsessed with the number, hence why he asks Slughorn if he could split the soul 7 times) Also, there's a pic of a seaside cave on the wall that has some significance to Tom. Which is one of the clues that lead Dumbledore to find that place and speculate that there would be a Horcrux hidden in there. Add that to the protective enchantments at the entrance and the "specially dark magic leaves traces" and you have why Dumbledore was certain that they would find a horcrux in that cave
About the number 7, I find that so cool cos 7 in itself is one of 3 very common „magic“ numbers that always appear in tales! Harry is number 7 in the Quidditch team, there are 7 HP books, 7 hocruxes as you mentioned and so on...
@@erikperhs_ Either he never got to make the seventh before he tried to kill Harry, or the "seven is the magical number" refers to Riddle's soul which would be split into seven pieces before he tried to kill Harry. Riddle's Diary, Slytherin's locket, Riddle's Grandfather's ring, the spoiler, the spoiler, the spoiler, and his soul still in his body would be seventh.
The black/white smoke is just a visual representation of apparating. I'm pretty sure in the books it was instantaneous/invisible. The brutish looking death eater is Fenrir Greyback. He's the werewolf that bit Lupin as a child. You worked for TH-cam?
Well in the books they described Voldy as “flying like a smoky bat” (not a direct quote I think lol) but I think the movies tried to visualize that for all the Desth Eaters even though in the books it seemed like a Voldemort thing, because he taught it to Snape in the last book and Harry mentioned it, like “oh I see you’ve been taking flying lessons from yo daddy 🤧” (again, not a direct quote, probably)
As far as I know, it was just something added to the movies for the sake of action... I'm not entirely sure what it's meant to be... Voldemort and Snape fly around using some sort of magic at some point, I think, but I'm not sure if that's meant to be the same thing... In the movies they have multiple people doing this, but it is possibly only the two in the books...
If i record correctly flying without assistance of a object was a big deal and no one except Voldemort could do. I think it was add on the movies for esthetics, to have a cool special action effect
I don’t know because in fantastic beasts, apparating looked different. It was sort of a swirl and a pop and they were gone. And technically in the books, it wasn’t invisible. You could watch some apparate. It was sorta instantaneous as long as you knew what you were doing but there is a loud popping sound like a gunshot associated with the act.
The last movie missed most of the Quidditch. Ron actually made the team the previous year; only Oliver Wood needed replacing, the remaining six kept their spots, with Angelina as captain. Harry and George ended up in a fist-fight with Malfoy after the first game, and Umbridge banned Harry, George and Fred for life. Ginny was brought in as seeker, but was severly hampered by having to play with two complete numbskulls as beaters. Ginny clearly stated she wanted to play chaser; this year only Harry and Katie Bell are givens.
I love your reaction to Lavender with Ron. “Who even are you??” Classic 😂 This is one of my favorite in the series because of the love story lines and everyone’s acting is top tier. The book is great too.
The bridge breaking at the start is in reference to when that actual bridge broke and fell down, and the drinking age here is 18 (but most of us do find a way of drinking before that)

@@juib1738 it is, but I can also understand why considering what they had left out in the fifth movie and how they had to push things along between two films to finish the story overall. While I love the films (will never forget all the awesome memories that came along with seeing them in theaters for the very first time), having a television series would have been the better way to go because you would definitely have the time to flesh everything out like the books did more. I don’t want a TV series now, but I do think when it comes to a books-to-live action retelling, a television series is more the way to go now that I’m older and have a different point of view on things. Would have helped a lot of people learn and understand the world that was created more since some haven’t read or didn’t want to read the books.

Tv-series would have been really great way to include many great things from the books, but unluckily streaming services or tv series like that were not a thing when they decided to make the movies. I also wouldn't like to have a tv-series made now, because i do love the movies even tho they cut down crucial parts of the story from the books. One thing i really liked about the movies was how well they were casted. And you just couldn't replace those actors with anyone today by making a new tv-series.

@@patriotsfan122480 I think I would want a television series not yet because the last film only came out 11 years ago, but I think it’s not a bad idea. So many fans (not myself) only saw the movies, and as a result missed so much like Hagrid’s backstory, Fleur’s devotion to Bill which shocks Mrs. Weasley, or even the World Quidditch Cup (GoF did that chapter so dirty). I just think it would be cool to see a lot of things from the books that the movies ignored like all of the rooms in department of mysteries and a better depiction of Horcruxes and Voldemort’s backstory.
Faux flying at the end kind of highlighted that Dumbledore is truly gone. Since his master is dead, he's no longer bound to a place and free to go wherever he wants
You're totally right about the darkness of this film; I see it in other films, too. It's annoying that directors make movies, or parts of movies, so dark you can only see them in a dark theater or room. When it happens, pause and turn off some lights. It's okay if you're not fully lit for a while.
Snape made the unbreakable vow. If Draco didn't kill Dumbledor he had to, and if Snape refused then he'd die instantly from breaking the vow. Snape had no choice, he did protect Harry and Draco though. Thanks to Snape Draco isn't a murderer.
11:40 The potion doesn't only make u smell a person u like, so no, Ron doesn't smell like grass xD. I think the grass pertains to the Burrow, Parchment coz she likes studying, and toothpaste for Ron. And in the books Harry's was described too! They said he smells his Broom polish (coz he loves quidditch), Treacle Tart (his fave food), and wildflowers (Ginny's perfume/scent). It's really cute that Both Hermione and Harry has the Burrow in their most favorite smells

I always thought it was such a missed opportunity that we never got to see Harry tell Ron that he faked giving him the luck potion. The guy performed incredibly on his own, and you're NOT GOING TO TELL HIM???!!!!!!!!!!
Me again to explain everything while watching: The newspaper didnt have Harrys picture because pictures and paintings made by wizards move as if they were real people. So when Harry read the paper paper-harry was not on the picture because he didnt feel like it. Later on he is on the picture because he decided to do so. Same goes for collecting cards (like in the first movie), paintings (literally in every single movie) and newspaper (remember Prisoner of Azkaban and Syrius screaming in the picture?). About Weasleys house, its so big because the family is so big. I think its explained in the second book that its built like that and they still dont really have any space. Also fun fact, Weasleys have a ghoul living in the attic. Unbreakable Vow (as explained later on in the film and books) is a kind of vow that you cannot break under any circumstance. Because you would just die. Its illegal to commit to such vow in the wizarding world because of its dark nature. Snape is really sneaky about the vow in the books avoiding breaking it and also not really commiting to it entirely by just doing what he literally vowed to do and nothing more. Petrificus Totalus is the spell you may remember from the first movie. Hermione used it on Nevil to stop him from snitching to the teachers durning climax of the story. All the spells in HP series are in latin so its really easy to know what the spell does by just knowing its name (title? idk) The wardrobe Draco put apple in is a magical wardrobe. Its connected to the shady part of wizard street (the one Harry teleports to by accident in the second movie, through the fireplace). Dark Lords followers then use the wardrobe in the climax to appear in Hogwarts. Its because you cannot teleport like Dumbledore did on the grounds of the castle. A months detention for vomiting on Snapes shoes. The memory of Slughorn and Tom Riddle talking is inaudible because Slughorn specifically tries to distance this part of his memory from himself. Or something like that. Dont remember if thats explained in the movie but here u go. Harry used the special stone that forms in goats stomach to save Ron. The stone is famous for its effect on various poisons. Harry knew the stone would work only because he had the book after Half Blood Prince in which it was scribbled on the side. After the funeral of the spider Harry intentionally spilled his alcoholic drink so to not get drunk and also refilled Slughorn drink with a spell to make sure he gets drunk. Was in book. Dont know if in movies.
Slughorn purposely altered the memory. He didn’t want it to be known that he told Tom about horcruxes, but Tom already knew about them at that point. All he wanted from Slughorn was to know what would happen if you split your soul 7 times. And the wardrobe is connected to a story from book 5. Draco only knew they were connected because a classmate Montague got stuck because the Weasley twins stuffed him inside. He later recalled being able to hear what was happening inside Borgin & Burkes, which is where the idea to use the vanishing cabinets comes from. And it’s a bezoar, which goes back to Harry’s first ever potions class.
The reason Harry looks so out of it in this film was because Daniel Radcliffe was drunk for nearly half of it, he suffered from alcoholism alot in the later films

I've never been pleased with how the story arcs are handled in the 5th and 6th film, but there is loads of emotional weight and great direction in this film that the 5th movie simply lacks. great reaction, thanks for the videos ang :D

The death eaters were always invisible to the muffles the reason it showed them “turning invisible” is because it was transitioning to the muffles point of view where they can only see the bridge collapsing for some reason

LOL how is Dumbledore alive after 150 years? Remember in the first film, he'd been custodian of The Philosopher's Stone, which could be used to extend the possessor's life, indefinitely. He hadn't had if for five years, by this point, but apparently the effects had not yet worn offf completely.
In the book when Harry smelled the love potion in slughorns class it smelled like flowers that he recognized. Turns out it was the smell of Ginny’s hair!
I recently started rewatching the series for the first time period. I got to say those movies aged well. I saw this one when it was new and I was in a phase where I felt too mature for content like this and so I convinced myself I didnt like it. So its a pleasant suprise.

Somebody might have already commented this but when McGonagall was asking why it's always you three, she wasn't accusing them of doing it she was noting with exasperation how they always somehow end up involved in the accidents and tragedies of Hogwarts.
It's so sad how stupid and out of nowhere the relationship between Harry and Ginny is. In the books, the start a friendship in the fifth book and got even closer in the sixth book. Harry even smells Ginny in Amortensia and the connect through Quidditch

Jim Broadbent has the uncanny ability to make me uneasy in roles he plays. Just playing cops, for instance: the characters are different in Hot Fuzz and Only Fools and Horses, but I feel on edge when he is in a scene somehow.
This many movies in, so many photos and paintings that move, the people in them moving also being mentioned several times, and she still gets confused by it. *sigh*
Luna is the best girl. Only one that supported Harry throughout the books. She acts weird because no one tells her some things are weird, as her mother died when she was young and her father´s idea of parenting is making up weird monsters that would punish you if you did something, like stand under mistletoe. Take her bottle cap earrings for example, she wants to transfigure them to actual earrings, but has not yet come up with a design she wants to use so she is carrying them around in case inspiration strikes. All it takes is one of her friends telling her that it is more common to wear them AFTER she transfigures them and can carry them in her pocket until then and voila, she is immediately less "weird". She needs to socialize more, not be hidden in a tower by her father.

I can understand why you still have some hatred towards Draco. I think we keep in mind as he might’ve been a bully and might’ve been cruel, but he still was just a boy. He only acted the way he did because how he was raised by his parents who were pure blood supremacist and wanting him to act like he was above everyone else. Voldemort was punishing Lucius because he failed to get the prophecy. What better way to punish the one who failed you by forcing their own blood to perform an immoral task or be killed in their stead. Same thing with Voldemort. Yes he is responsible for everything he’s done. However we should keep in mind that he never asked exactly to be born the way he was. In the book it stated that he was the product of an unrequited love. His pure blood mother was in love with his muggle father, and she truly did love Voldemort as a mother would. However she had placed his father under the influence of the love potion. So he was literally born out of a one-sided love relationship. When she removed the potion he rejected them both. It’s why Voldemort can never understand the true value of love. ⚡️💛🖤🦡🪄
I do like that Fred and George’s shop was very colorful because the rest of this movie is really REALLY dark. It just goes to show that they are helping out in these dark times by putting some hood out there.
Apparating is basically teleporting. There are some places you can't apparate in though, like Hogwarts. Wizards have a longer lifespan than muggles, which is why Dumbledore is so old (but still, not a lot of wizards grow as old as Dumbledore). Dumbledore knew Draco was coming to kill him because he knew that Voldemort would want to punish the Malfoy family (because Lucius got himself and a bunch of other Death Eaters caught in the 5th movie). The reason the movie was dark was because the director wanted to show that the movies were getting darker and darker. Don't worry though, the next movies you'll be able to see. But a lot of your questions about Dumbledore and Snape will be answered in the next two movies (unless they didn't include it).
I enjoyed this movies cinematography, despite it being dark. (It was definitely easier to see in theaters.) I also loved the performances, despite some of the ridiculous romantic melodrama the movies employ. The exception, unfortunately, is Ginny. They way Bonnie Wright was directed in this film, and the placement of her scenes with Radcliffe, makes Ginny come off as a total weirdo, and a player. Then there's the issue of the prince's book; which is totally downplayed in the movie for some bizarre reason. The book/movie is NAMED after him, yet the Half-Blood Prince, and his book, barely get any mention! One of the coolest things in the original story is how Harry learns more and more from the book, prompting Hermione and others to tell him to stop using it, but he doesn't listen because he grows to feel a strong kinship with the Half-Blood Prince, and indeed, the spells he learns from him help him out many times throughout the story. So coming to find out, IMMEDIATELY AFTER Snape kills Dumbledore, that he was the prince, was an incredible shock. In the movie, it's like "Oh, no way. It was you?...That's...crazy?" 😆

What you didn't show or comment on, just before the Death Eaters destroyed the Millennial Bridge than spans the Thames, is the destruction of the wand shop in Diagon Alley and the kidnapping of Ollivander (with the hood over his head). The Death Eater clutching him is Fenrir Greyback, the werewolf who made a young Lupin into one. The Death Eaters had been dispatched to kidnap Ollivander and bring him back to Malfoy Manor. Voldemort has taken it over as his base of operations and plans to imprison Ollivander in the Malfoy cellar and use the Cruciatus Curse to torture him for his knowledge of wandlore. Voldemort is obsessed with completing the murder of Harry Potter by wand and curse, but recognizes he can't do it with his own wand. Voldy needs Ollivander to work out how to get it done. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ The red stuff dripping from the ceiling (in the house where Slughorn has been hiding) is dragon's blood. If you check the first film, Dumbledore was displayed on a trading card that mentions he knows the 19 uses of dragon's blood. Dragon's blood in real life is an ancient resin produced by a plant in the Middle East. It has many actual uses, including being a preservative (and safe to consume) for wine. It can be ground into a powder and used (alone or as part of a mix) as an incense and has a history of being used in magic as a protection and/or a 'power booster', whether burned as an incense or worn as an oil. When Dumbledore tasted the red substance dripping from the ceiling, he was testing his assumption that it was dragon's blood. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Lucius was finally found out, after the melee in the Ministry of Magic that revealed Voldemort is back. He was tried and sent to Azkaban, which created a scandal for the Malfoys; they are now avoided and treated as pariahs. Also, with Lucius in prison, their political as well as social influence is destroyed. Luckily they are independently wealthy, but they are also now socially isolated. Draco is in full rage over all this, and he blames Harry. Draco wants revenge, and he's an easy mark for Voldemort to talk into becoming a Death Eater like his father. Voldemort will induct Draco into the group, then assign him some 'tasks' to perform for Voldemort's benefit. But Voldemort does not expect Draco to succeed, giving him a reason in his followers' eyes to murder him. This is meant as punishment for Lucius. This film is Draco's. The separation from his father is actually the beginning of his personal redemption. It will leave Draco, who previously idolized his father (who treated his boy with similar cold contempt as shown others), questioning everything about his father. This is the start of change in Draco's character arc and is amazing to watch play out. Draco's mother, Narcissa Black Malfoy, just wants to see her son get through this safely. She has an amazing poker face, showing nothing about her true feelings, but her actions demonstrate a deep love and concern for her son. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Ron has a bad habit borne of being the youngest of six boys: there's such competition that you have to be quick or you starve. As a result, he tends to dig into anything that might have food in it. When Romilda Vane dropped off chocolates meant for Harry (with love potion in the candies), Ron found the box and ate not just one but TWENTY of them, overdosing on the love potion. Harry takes him to Slughorn to get the love potion stopped and succeeds. But then Slughorn gets out a bottle of mead he was planning to give to Dumbledore, and of course Ron starts drinking it before Harry and Slughorn can finish the toast. It was believed in actual magical history to reverse poisoning. JK Rowling did her research. Much of what she put in her HP writing comes from actual real life history. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ You missed an important action: Dumbledore says "I'll make this easy for you" and takes out his wand, loosely, almost casually. But Dumbledore knows Draco is full of adrenalin and panicky, and Draco does what Dumbledore expects: Draco disarms him. That means Dumbledore's wand changes loyalty from Dumbledore to Draco; Draco is now the true master of Dumbledore's wand. And this was done with only Dumbledore, Draco, and Harry as witnesses. And neither Draco nor Harry understands the true significance of Draco disarming Dumbledore. What is the significance? Spoilers...
A wizards normal lifespan is about 200 year's. BTW. Tom Riddle was 70 in the last movie, so if he just would have lived his life normally he would still have another 130 years to live.
The title for this is funny for Brits to read. "Prince Albert" or "Prince" for short is the nickname for a penis, so a "half blood prince" is a humorous way of saying a Prince Albert is almost stood up straight...if you know what i mean ;) Pretty sure JK Rowling knew what she was doing

One of the funniest parts they left out of the movie: When Harry is leaving the common room after drinking liquid luck, hes actually under the invisibility cloak. Ginny and her current boyfriend (cant remember the name) were going into the room, and he hits Ginny with his shoulder iirc. That starts an argument between them because her boyfriend is "controlling" and always "telling her what to do and where to go", something along those lines, They break up after that fight. Which wouldn't make sense in the movie timeline because Ginny and Harry kiss before the liquid luck scene happens, so that would mean that Ginny cheated on Dean. The movies barely followed this particular book tho so maybe that's why the timeline is off.

@@voxorox the entire point of the story here is to show Snape for how utterly brilliant he is. If Voldemort never happened Snape likely becomes a powerful dark wizard himself. Voldemort killing Lily is the only reason Snape turned. He was more intelligent and just as powerful as Voldemort, just didn't have horcruxes.

She actually wasn’t already on the team. Her spot the previous year was Harry’s and since he reclaimed it, she had to tryout for Chaser. The only given spot was Harry’s. Katie told him that the worst mistake he could make was giving people a spot without making sure they were the best.

Like the fact that Sirius sent Harry his broom for Christmas and it caused a lot of drama, and just the overall lack of Quidditch in the series. the scene where Hermione and harry relate to each other at 17:30 is more genius than you think, it shows Harry and Hermione both having someone to turn to, and ron having a girl, but as it pans out at 18:02 it shows draco not having anyone to turn to.

Severus Snape is calling himself the 'Half-Blood Prince' because his blood status is half-blood (father was a muggle, mother was a witch). His mother's name was Eileen Prince, thus Severus became the 'Half-Blood Prince'.

Two interesting things that probably flew over your head in that flashback when Dumbledore meets Tom for the first time
In his room there are 7 rocks in the window (to convey that he was kinda obsessed with the number, hence why he asks Slughorn if he could split the soul 7 times)
Also, there's a pic of a seaside cave on the wall that has some significance to Tom. Which is one of the clues that lead Dumbledore to find that place and speculate that there would be a Horcrux hidden in there. Add that to the protective enchantments at the entrance and the "specially dark magic leaves traces" and you have why Dumbledore was certain that they would find a horcrux in that cave

About the number 7, I find that so cool cos 7 in itself is one of 3 very common „magic“ numbers that always appear in tales! Harry is number 7 in the Quidditch team, there are 7 HP books, 7 hocruxes as you mentioned and so on...

Well in the books they described Voldy as “flying like a smoky bat” (not a direct quote I think lol) but I think the movies tried to visualize that for all the Desth Eaters even though in the books it seemed like a Voldemort thing, because he taught it to Snape in the last book and Harry mentioned it, like “oh I see you’ve been taking flying lessons from yo daddy 🤧” (again, not a direct quote, probably)
As far as I know, it was just something added to the movies for the sake of action... I'm not entirely sure what it's meant to be...
Voldemort and Snape fly around using some sort of magic at some point, I think, but I'm not sure if that's meant to be the same thing... In the movies they have multiple people doing this, but it is possibly only the two in the books...
If i record correctly flying without assistance of a object was a big deal and no one except Voldemort could do. I think it was add on the movies for esthetics, to have a cool special action effect
I don’t know because in fantastic beasts, apparating looked different. It was sort of a swirl and a pop and they were gone. And technically in the books, it wasn’t invisible. You could watch some apparate. It was sorta instantaneous as long as you knew what you were doing but there is a loud popping sound like a gunshot associated with the act.
Fenrir is actually named after Fenrir the giant wolf, the son of Loki in Norse mythology. I thought it was very befitting
The last movie missed most of the Quidditch. Ron actually made the team the previous year; only Oliver Wood needed replacing, the remaining six kept their spots, with Angelina as captain.
Harry and George ended up in a fist-fight with Malfoy after the first game, and Umbridge banned Harry, George and Fred for life.
Ginny was brought in as seeker, but was severly hampered by having to play with two complete numbskulls as beaters.
Ginny clearly stated she wanted to play chaser; this year only Harry and Katie Bell are givens.
I never even thought of Ron saying "Open up you" and making fun of Harry and now I'm devastated that never made it into the books/movies

@@juib1738 it is, but I can also understand why considering what they had left out in the fifth movie and how they had to push things along between two films to finish the story overall.
While I love the films (will never forget all the awesome memories that came along with seeing them in theaters for the very first time), having a television series would have been the better way to go because you would definitely have the time to flesh everything out like the books did more. I don’t want a TV series now, but I do think when it comes to a books-to-live action retelling, a television series is more the way to go now that I’m older and have a different point of view on things. Would have helped a lot of people learn and understand the world that was created more since some haven’t read or didn’t want to read the books.

Tv-series would have been really great way to include many great things from the books, but unluckily streaming services or tv series like that were not a thing when they decided to make the movies. I also wouldn't like to have a tv-series made now, because i do love the movies even tho they cut down crucial parts of the story from the books. One thing i really liked about the movies was how well they were casted. And you just couldn't replace those actors with anyone today by making a new tv-series.

So many fans (not myself) only saw the movies, and as a result missed so much like Hagrid’s backstory, Fleur’s devotion to Bill which shocks Mrs. Weasley, or even the World Quidditch Cup (GoF did that chapter so dirty). I just think it would be cool to see a lot of things from the books that the movies ignored like all of the rooms in department of mysteries and a better depiction of Horcruxes and Voldemort’s backstory.

Snape made the unbreakable vow. If Draco didn't kill Dumbledor he had to, and if Snape refused then he'd die instantly from breaking the vow. Snape had no choice, he did protect Harry and Draco though. Thanks to Snape Draco isn't a murderer.
11:40 The potion doesn't only make u smell a person u like, so no, Ron doesn't smell like grass xD. I think the grass pertains to the Burrow, Parchment coz she likes studying, and toothpaste for Ron. And in the books Harry's was described too! They said he smells his Broom polish (coz he loves quidditch), Treacle Tart (his fave food), and wildflowers (Ginny's perfume/scent). It's really cute that Both Hermione and Harry has the Burrow in their most favorite smells

Me again to explain everything while watching:
The newspaper didnt have Harrys picture because pictures and paintings made by wizards move as if they were real people. So when Harry read the paper paper-harry was not on the picture because he didnt feel like it. Later on he is on the picture because he decided to do so. Same goes for collecting cards (like in the first movie), paintings (literally in every single movie) and newspaper (remember Prisoner of Azkaban and Syrius screaming in the picture?).
About Weasleys house, its so big because the family is so big. I think its explained in the second book that its built like that and they still dont really have any space. Also fun fact, Weasleys have a ghoul living in the attic.
Unbreakable Vow (as explained later on in the film and books) is a kind of vow that you cannot break under any circumstance. Because you would just die. Its illegal to commit to such vow in the wizarding world because of its dark nature. Snape is really sneaky about the vow in the books avoiding breaking it and also not really commiting to it entirely by just doing what he literally vowed to do and nothing more.
Petrificus Totalus is the spell you may remember from the first movie. Hermione used it on Nevil to stop him from snitching to the teachers durning climax of the story. All the spells in HP series are in latin so its really easy to know what the spell does by just knowing its name (title? idk)
The wardrobe Draco put apple in is a magical wardrobe. Its connected to the shady part of wizard street (the one Harry teleports to by accident in the second movie, through the fireplace). Dark Lords followers then use the wardrobe in the climax to appear in Hogwarts. Its because you cannot teleport like Dumbledore did on the grounds of the castle.

The memory of Slughorn and Tom Riddle talking is inaudible because Slughorn specifically tries to distance this part of his memory from himself. Or something like that. Dont remember if thats explained in the movie but here u go.
Harry used the special stone that forms in goats stomach to save Ron. The stone is famous for its effect on various poisons. Harry knew the stone would work only because he had the book after Half Blood Prince in which it was scribbled on the side.
After the funeral of the spider Harry intentionally spilled his alcoholic drink so to not get drunk and also refilled Slughorn drink with a spell to make sure he gets drunk. Was in book. Dont know if in movies.
Slughorn purposely altered the memory. He didn’t want it to be known that he told Tom about horcruxes, but Tom already knew about them at that point. All he wanted from Slughorn was to know what would happen if you split your soul 7 times.
And the wardrobe is connected to a story from book 5. Draco only knew they were connected because a classmate Montague got stuck because the Weasley twins stuffed him inside. He later recalled being able to hear what was happening inside Borgin & Burkes, which is where the idea to use the vanishing cabinets comes from.
And it’s a bezoar, which goes back to Harry’s first ever potions class.
The reason Harry looks so out of it in this film was because Daniel Radcliffe was drunk for nearly half of it, he suffered from alcoholism alot in the later films

I recently started rewatching the series for the first time period. I got to say those movies aged well. I saw this one when it was new and I was in a phase where I felt too mature for content like this and so I convinced myself I didnt like it. So its a pleasant suprise.

Jim Broadbent has the uncanny ability to make me uneasy in roles he plays. Just playing cops, for instance: the characters are different in Hot Fuzz and Only Fools and Horses, but I feel on edge when he is in a scene somehow.

Luna is the best girl. Only one that supported Harry throughout the books. She acts weird because no one tells her some things are weird, as her mother died when she was young and her father´s idea of parenting is making up weird monsters that would punish you if you did something, like stand under mistletoe. Take her bottle cap earrings for example, she wants to transfigure them to actual earrings, but has not yet come up with a design she wants to use so she is carrying them around in case inspiration strikes. All it takes is one of her friends telling her that it is more common to wear them AFTER she transfigures them and can carry them in her pocket until then and voila, she is immediately less "weird". She needs to socialize more, not be hidden in a tower by her father.

I can understand why you still have some hatred towards Draco. I think we keep in mind as he might’ve been a bully and might’ve been cruel, but he still was just a boy. He only acted the way he did because how he was raised by his parents who were pure blood supremacist and wanting him to act like he was above everyone else. Voldemort was punishing Lucius because he failed to get the prophecy. What better way to punish the one who failed you by forcing their own blood to perform an immoral task or be killed in their stead. Same thing with Voldemort. Yes he is responsible for everything he’s done. However we should keep in mind that he never asked exactly to be born the way he was. In the book it stated that he was the product of an unrequited love. His pure blood mother was in love with his muggle father, and she truly did love Voldemort as a mother would. However she had placed his father under the influence of the love potion. So he was literally born out of a one-sided love relationship. When she removed the potion he rejected them both. It’s why Voldemort can never understand the true value of love. ⚡️💛🖤🦡🪄

I do like that Fred and George’s shop was very colorful because the rest of this movie is really REALLY dark. It just goes to show that they are helping out in these dark times by putting some hood out there.
Apparating is basically teleporting. There are some places you can't apparate in though, like Hogwarts. Wizards have a longer lifespan than muggles, which is why Dumbledore is so old (but still, not a lot of wizards grow as old as Dumbledore). Dumbledore knew Draco was coming to kill him because he knew that Voldemort would want to punish the Malfoy family (because Lucius got himself and a bunch of other Death Eaters caught in the 5th movie). The reason the movie was dark was because the director wanted to show that the movies were getting darker and darker. Don't worry though, the next movies you'll be able to see.
But a lot of your questions about Dumbledore and Snape will be answered in the next two movies (unless they didn't include it).
I enjoyed this movies cinematography, despite it being dark. (It was definitely easier to see in theaters.) I also loved the performances, despite some of the ridiculous romantic melodrama the movies employ. The exception, unfortunately, is Ginny. They way Bonnie Wright was directed in this film, and the placement of her scenes with Radcliffe, makes Ginny come off as a total weirdo, and a player. Then there's the issue of the prince's book; which is totally downplayed in the movie for some bizarre reason. The book/movie is NAMED after him, yet the Half-Blood Prince, and his book, barely get any mention! One of the coolest things in the original story is how Harry learns more and more from the book, prompting Hermione and others to tell him to stop using it, but he doesn't listen because he grows to feel a strong kinship with the Half-Blood Prince, and indeed, the spells he learns from him help him out many times throughout the story. So coming to find out, IMMEDIATELY AFTER Snape kills Dumbledore, that he was the prince, was an incredible shock. In the movie, it's like "Oh, no way. It was you?...That's...crazy?" 😆

What you didn't show or comment on, just before the Death Eaters destroyed the Millennial Bridge than spans the Thames, is the destruction of the wand shop in Diagon Alley and the kidnapping of Ollivander (with the hood over his head). The Death Eater clutching him is Fenrir Greyback, the werewolf who made a young Lupin into one.
The Death Eaters had been dispatched to kidnap Ollivander and bring him back to Malfoy Manor. Voldemort has taken it over as his base of operations and plans to imprison Ollivander in the Malfoy cellar and use the Cruciatus Curse to torture him for his knowledge of wandlore. Voldemort is obsessed with completing the murder of Harry Potter by wand and curse, but recognizes he can't do it with his own wand. Voldy needs Ollivander to work out how to get it done.

The red stuff dripping from the ceiling (in the house where Slughorn has been hiding) is dragon's blood. If you check the first film, Dumbledore was displayed on a trading card that mentions he knows the 19 uses of dragon's blood.
Dragon's blood in real life is an ancient resin produced by a plant in the Middle East. It has many actual uses, including being a preservative (and safe to consume) for wine. It can be ground into a powder and used (alone or as part of a mix) as an incense and has a history of being used in magic as a protection and/or a 'power booster', whether burned as an incense or worn as an oil.
When Dumbledore tasted the red substance dripping from the ceiling, he was testing his assumption that it was dragon's blood.

Lucius was finally found out, after the melee in the Ministry of Magic that revealed Voldemort is back. He was tried and sent to Azkaban, which created a scandal for the Malfoys; they are now avoided and treated as pariahs. Also, with Lucius in prison, their political as well as social influence is destroyed. Luckily they are independently wealthy, but they are also now socially isolated.
Draco is in full rage over all this, and he blames Harry. Draco wants revenge, and he's an easy mark for Voldemort to talk into becoming a Death Eater like his father. Voldemort will induct Draco into the group, then assign him some 'tasks' to perform for Voldemort's benefit. But Voldemort does not expect Draco to succeed, giving him a reason in his followers' eyes to murder him. This is meant as punishment for Lucius.
This film is Draco's. The separation from his father is actually the beginning of his personal redemption. It will leave Draco, who previously idolized his father (who treated his boy with similar cold contempt as shown others), questioning everything about his father. This is the start of change in Draco's character arc and is amazing to watch play out.
Draco's mother, Narcissa Black Malfoy, just wants to see her son get through this safely. She has an amazing poker face, showing nothing about her true feelings, but her actions demonstrate a deep love and concern for her son.

Ron has a bad habit borne of being the youngest of six boys: there's such competition that you have to be quick or you starve. As a result, he tends to dig into anything that might have food in it. When Romilda Vane dropped off chocolates meant for Harry (with love potion in the candies), Ron found the box and ate not just one but TWENTY of them, overdosing on the love potion.
Harry takes him to Slughorn to get the love potion stopped and succeeds. But then Slughorn gets out a bottle of mead he was planning to give to Dumbledore, and of course Ron starts drinking it before Harry and Slughorn can finish the toast. Turns out the mead had been poisoned.
Slughorn is in shock and useless. Harry thinks fast and starts digging through Slughorn's sample box; luckily Harry finds the bezoar and gives it to Ron, saving his life.
A bezoar is an object found in the stomach of a goat. It was believed in actual magical history to reverse poisoning.
JK Rowling did her research. Much of what she put in her HP writing comes from actual real life history.

You missed an important action:
Dumbledore says "I'll make this easy for you" and takes out his wand, loosely, almost casually. But Dumbledore knows Draco is full of adrenalin and panicky, and Draco does what Dumbledore expects: Draco disarms him.
That means Dumbledore's wand changes loyalty from Dumbledore to Draco; Draco is now the true master of Dumbledore's wand. And this was done with only Dumbledore, Draco, and Harry as witnesses. And neither Draco nor Harry understands the true significance of Draco disarming Dumbledore.
