Hi Ian, some nice fish there, for this time of the year i live on Portland and the fishing has been rubbish, i used to fish birnbeck island years ago as my nan & grandad lived in banwell saw some lovely fish come from there.. Nik
Hi Nik lovely to hear from you! Yes I live in Bleadon and the upper channel has been poor this year but a few fish lower down thankfully!!! I tend to avoid Chesil in February but will be back in March for a plaice hopefully!!! No access to birnbeck any more unfortunately which is sad!! Cheers Ian
Hi Ian you ok pal and hi to Chris and Tony. A nice morning session out lads well done. I ve been out twice in last week and managed 2 flounders on the humber at has been tuff going. All the best Ian from GRIMSBY
Hi Carl yes February is not an easy month for sure!! Fortunately Tony got us on a few fish was lovely to have a bend in the rod after a few weeks of inactivity!! On such a nice day too we were very lucky!!! Tight lines mate cheers Ian

@@ianclarkfishing aye, I’m doing fine thanks. It was a good winter season up here and I had about 70 fish, codling, whiting and some coleys. Onto the salmon now. Looking forward to seeing you guys on Chesil again!
@@ianclarkfishing Cheers mate. With the channel being so poor atm, the Kenn has filled a nice gap. I have another match this coming Sunday. You've inspired me to go find a cod, though 🙂
Hi Ian, welcome post and a good session, I would like to fish the mark sometime in the future, could you please advise a safe parking place for the mark, cheers.
Hi Dean nice to hear from you! Glad you enjoyed the video. Best access is go to Burton and turn down Road signposted to Knighton…. Go through the farmyard on track and keep going to end where there is a gate… park on verge go through gate a 20 minute walk to the beach. Farm track is awful and the walk up and down but worth the effort. Cheers Ian
Hi lovely to hear from you! We do keep some fish for sure but a lot go back too. I love bream, bass and mackerel so will keep a few if I’m lucky enough to catch any!!!! Thanks for watching cheers Ian
Thanks Ian. your videos are really helpful. 3 of us are planning a trip from Essex. Question where is a good place to fish at High tide? we plan to fish Brean as your direction and experience shows low up. then do another session. So any suggestions would be helpful we can get a full trip Thanks Nik
Hi Nik lovely to hear from you! Brean is only fishable the last 3 hours up to high tide so you need a low tide venue too. You could try sand point a few miles north over low water then go and fish Brean after?? Check out the veals website with directions on sand point in their Bristol channel guide it’s very informative. Brean a bit of a struggle at the moment we fished last night for a small bass and some whiting. The bigger bass arrive late March I suggest you try then!!!! Cheers ian
Hi Gary yes a lovely spot to fish especially on a nice day like we had!! Always pleasing to see a few fish about in February! Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment cheers Ian
