- #58 I thought this would be a good time for a state of the union. Give an update on what we have going on around the property and check in on the firewood business. The weather has delayed our two big projects for this year but we need to get those started asap.

Looks good, what’ll be nice is in another 5-10 years you put on the “to do list” for your son to restock the stand while you’re at work. Lol
Absolutely! Great way for the kids to earn a little allowance.
We've been swamped around here also! I went with wrap when I started selling bundles because it was cheaper to startup, I also think you can make them faster and it can be a much nicer looking product.
I’m definitely leaning towards the wrap. I have about 100 bags left then hopefully switching over. Thanks for the input
Just subscribed good video,enjoy watching
Thanks for subscribing!!!
Hey I just bought from your firewood stand today. Found you on FB Marketplace. A few hours later this video showed up on my TH-cam and kinda recognized the stand in the thumbnail so decided to hit play and subscribe.
That’s crazy the video just popped up for you. Thanks for subscribing and we really appreciate the business. Did you buy the kindling bags? That’s one of my best sellers. It’s 100% sycamore and is an amazing all natural fire starter.
I did buy the kindling. It worked great. @@cabinviewventures
Hey bud, been watching your videos for a while, great content 👍
I wouldn't say " you should do...."
But here's what i do for my bundles and its incredibly easy, takes me a minute and 20 sec on average per bag and it cost me 5$!
I was seriously considering buying the bundler from WolfeRidge and i got the idea watching Joe from OWB, (so i cant take credit on that one)
I just use a crazy carpet, roll it up, drop in the bag, it matches the bag perfectly, fill the bag quick, pull out the crazy carpet, et voilà!
No need to add extra pieces, no need to drop a gran (or 2) on a bundler. I set the whole thing on a bigger log on the ground, no back pain from being bent over. It works fantastic for me ! Keep on the good work, have a great weekend 🍻
I really appreciate the support! Good comments like this with advice and real world experience are always appreciated. I like that idea and will give it a try. I might get one of the plastic wrap bundlers for my premium firewood and still use the bags for kindling and fire pit wood. Just curious where are you buying bags from? I’m getting mine from Northern Woodsmen. Would love to find a cheaper supplier.
Yeah, I've heard northern woodsman's bags are really expensive.
Im in Western Canada and i buy my bags directly from NNZ. They're the makers of the Log Lift bags. I buy 1000 bags at a time and they come up to $0.44 each CAD, which is like a dime USD.
NNZ first sent me like 10 different sizes for me to try free of charge and their customer service was excellent! The drawstring has the Snaplog system, its kinda like a sharkbite, it takes 1 second to close the bag, i love it. I know they have distributors in the US as well. Hope that helps
Huge help, thanks for the info.
Why not offer both and charge a dollar more for bags?
I might keep some on standby for special requests.
So then where will you re erect the tractor shed
I’m going to leave the end bay open for equipment or splitting on a rainy day!
