So is there Ocean Dub where TeamFourStar got their hell jokes? (The fact the two ogres are obsessed with fitness and HFIL)
Yes. There are many jokes from the perspective of fans of that special time from 1996 to 1999 where Funimation was first bringing this awesome show to the United States, but making many strange changes either due to Saban's censorship requirements. As well as changes they made due to...making up the entire script from scratch since they didn't want to hire a translator.
Kæðr how interesting.
"sleep grass" im sure that was some weed infused drink
British people referring to the outside ground as "floor" has always amused me 😅
Half of these changes are fairly minor and honestly pretty fair, and the other half are just completely fucking baffling.
Great video, but as a viewer of DBZ when it first arrived in the states, a handful of ghe deleted scenes you mentioned were infacr included in the Ocean dub. For example Chichi wondering how Goku and Gohan were doing at the Kame house, and when Krillin went over to Goku's place to tell Chichi the news and stayed over, I remember that cleaely beung in the ocean dub.
Man i always knew we got a different intro in Canada, we didnt get "rock the dragon" but i honestly never ever registered that the outro song was instrumental rock the dragon, thats probably why its so familiar.
Canada did get rock the dragon up until the Namek Saga like the us but when the ocean cast came back in the trucks saga onwards for the UK and Canada they re used the footage from rock the dragon but with a different song so yeah they basically got the same opening twice footage but with 2 different songs
The Ocean dub had Goku’s VA be the same person that voiced Rolf from Ed Edd n Eddy, right?
Correct
@@shateeqsmith that’s cool
What the hell did they even have left after removing almost every scene?!
3:09 ngl that was FIRE like fr
Gohan be peeing everywhere
The iconic green blood piccolo
Bro doesn’t know that piccolo blood is Actually Purple.💀💀
His tears are Green not him Blood. 😭💀
I hate to sound like a smart-alek but, the first ever English dub of Dragon Ball Z was produced in the Philippines by a company called creative products corporation, however they were only able to dub at least the entire sayian saga (35 episodes)
Did ocean hate epileptic people
Ocean dub: "They're not dead, guys! Just listen to their breathing!"
Original version: (Actual dead.)
Do you know where you got these Ocean Dub episodes?
bro where did you go all this time
6:26 this one is pretty cute honestly
I'm from latin america and while they did censored it, it wasn't so drastic, piccolo's blood is still green though and there's basically no blood
Rock the dragon alone makes it fantastic.
Rock the dragon slaps!!!
are you still going to cover the rest of Ocean(Saban)'s version of DBZ
if you want you can do the rest of namek to buu with that other dub continuing with ocean voice actors
Waiting on part 2! :)
My intense childhood.
...are shown with no pupils with them, which normally siginifies death"
Kalifa also had this in her defeat and she got better quickly.
Is it just me or the best thing that was in all of the Dbz dubs goku never liked beer
