That color scheme is 🔥 I've been noticing a lot of ppl breaking in the heel of the glove? I never once in 23yrs of playing worried about my heel I wanted it stiff, I always worked on just the pocket and index finger to break in, since that's where I wanted to catch it. I folded in all my fingers only ones growing up flared out the pinking and thumb were outfielders. Rest of us had our fingers folded in. My way of breaking in my glove was run water on it, my old hall of fame coach showed me that. Then go play catch for like 30 mins and then practice with it for 3hrs. Lol That's how we use to do it. It's cool seeing other ways to break em in now days
I would add oil to the inside and place a baseball on the inside. Tie the glove shut with a rope. When you take the ball out the glove it had a nice curve to it.
one thing i always did growing up was putting oil all on the inside then putting it in the microwave for 30 seconds.. doing that 3 times a night for 3 nights it comes out beautiful
What I do (only if I have a mitt that’s still at least usable) is put a ball in the mitt and tie the mitt closed with rubber bands and put it under my bed then sleep on it for a couple days then break in the heel with either a bat or mallet

Someone tell me why they flair the thumb out…. seems like if you fielded a ball off that thumb it would deflect off away from you…I always rounded my glove like a bowl so no matter where it hits on the glove when you close it’s going towards the pocket

My uncle always left a ball in it with a rubber band around it. Always worked for me.
