- The Hype Fire absolutely took over the travel ball world in 2023/2024. Today we're gonna see if there's anything new about the 2025 version, and we'll see how it stacks up in our USSSA bat rankings.

it’s also a USSSA it’s juiced asl and not wood. If MLB players had this bat you see higher or similar numbers.

Except for BBCOR. Aside from the MAV1, their lineup this year was kinda booty.
@@wyattl.4023yeah it's so weird to not see Easton have the hottest drop 3's anymore. Easton had the entire aluminum bat industry in a chokehold from the time I was 8 to 19/20. It's funny how their bats were the catalyst for the first ever bat regulation and finally the BBCOR regulation. They basically shot themselves in both kneecaps by making too good of a product lol. These Hype Fires prove they still can make some of the best stuff.
@@LTR1420even for a bit after the BBCOR regulation, they had things locked up. The MAKO coming out was a HUGE deal when I was in middle school/high school. There was at least one on literally every team and the whole lineup used it😂
@@prestonjones20013 ahh yeah I have seen them mention and hit with that bat on here before. Still seems as if their BBCOR bats have always been a shadow, at best, compared to everything they made before 2011. I think they probably make so much money off of all their other bats, that they're not even concerned with BBCOR anymore lol.

My son is 11yrs old. His exit velocity is in the 70’s we can’t break the Hype for nothing lol. Uses it off the machines weekly, BP, and still super hot and no cracks. Warranty is almost up trying to crack it lol!
My son plays 11 and broke his halfway through. Exit velocity is mid 70’s. We bought him an icon and it last 3 weeks. 🤦🏻♂️
I’m the same age and I swing something close to that and I cracked it
I’m 12 and I hit 94.6mph and it cracked 4 swings after that

I used this my whole 14u season because it was my last year swinging USSSA. I mainly used it in games but I did use it in bp a few times just for fun. I am by no means the top level 14 year old but it was routinely hitting 70-75 mph pitching for 4 months and it lasted the whole year. It does have 2 seams on it but it is still usable after a full year of multiple 14 year olds swinging it.
My sons has lasted the entire season and he's been killing balls all summer. At the end of the day, this is Will hitting NUKES as a grown man, not the kids that the bat is intended for! Get the Hype...
I said it before, and he got kind of offended. But yeah, this bat is NOT for you will, is for kids, we know you like to hit nukes with kids bats, but, get a BBCOR 34” or a wood bat

I suggest doing that ballpark that has the apartment complex behind left field. I don’t know where that ballpark is, but it was on the episode Will did on wood bats and the various prices on them.
12-13 Kids should start buying wooden bats in a turn model they can barrel up. Get some white athletic tape and cover the sweet spot, and focus on hitting every ball within that area. As you get stronger you can go more end loaded until you can increase to a heavier turn model. The sooner you can start barreling baseballs with wood, the better your hands will be as you get older. Strength will come with age, so focus on hitting everything hard and up the middle with lumber

Interesting conclusion. Hype fire was the #1 bat for my son’s USSSA 12u majors team and we didn’t see a single one broken. Fall tryouts there have been 3 kids with the Tank and already 1 of those has cracked.

Will although I agree with everything you say as far as the rankings and everything else you say about these bats I would like to say this. I’d love for you to make a genre of videos that are based on hitting in the cold 🥶 specifically to see how all these bats perform. The reason I say this and I understand composites don’t like the cold but my son broke 2 Icons this season his season is primarily played in really cold temps so I chalked it up to that but he loved it. I’d love to see all of them go through the gauntlet of cold weather.

The 27" -10 Hype Fire our 8 yo has lasted a fall and spring season. That's with one kid using it for every BP session and sometimes multiple kids using it. That and multiple kids used it for games every game.
I've seen a 28" -10 still in service with the kid using it for all BP and games.
That's about what I expected though.
Definitely like the Blue bat the best. These bats don't break when kids use them, we had multiple on our team the entire season and not one broke. Used all season, games, practice and in the colder weather. My son preferred swinging the end loaded Zoa/Zen and hit the ball harder than anyone using the Hype.
hey will, you should make a video where you swing the cheapest wood bats you can find whether thats amazon or in person and test them to see which cheap wood bat is the best, because some of the recent videos with wood bats, you figured out that some cheap ones are actually really good.

I’ll be that the only way they could actually get it to pass the certification to be used it had to break at a certain point. I dont know if you know this but with the composite bats they continue to get hotter and hotter as they break in more, so the companies design them to break at a certain point so they don’t end up getting hotter than they should. So with Easton riding such a fine line with such a hot bat out of the wrapper that it was probably the only way they could stay within regulation and still have the hottest bat out there. So it’s usually one or the other which is why these bat reviews are so important now days cause you need to know which bats are durable enough but also have enough pop to be really competitive

I have the 2024 Hype Fire, I just finished 13U. I got it in September, and It was broken by December, only having used it in 10ish Fall ball games, and practice. In my experience, it went from really good, to insane. I’m not sure how, but cracked bats are just better. 🤷♂

I don't know how I got here but I am amazed that an expensive bat can break that fast?! I understand it is probably thin to be really hot because that is kind of how golf drivers are made. The thing is though.. they cost around the same for a pretty high end driver but they last for a very long time no matter how hard you hit them. I mean it is rare for them to break during world long drive competitions where some 6 foot 6 monster man is swinging the club head around at 160+ mph.

I have the hype I use it in practice and games hit consistent 80 exit velo probably have in the thousands of swings and I have one little crack that I’ve been swinging with for a week or so. Get the hype it will still last if your a normal kid and not a grown man

It appears they addressed the no taper skinny handle slightly with this model. That’s my son’s biggest issue with the hype. Hes 5 foot 5 & 154 pounds at 11 years old. He hits the ball stupid hard but feels out of control with the tooth pick handle which I’m assuming is playing with some consistency’s in his swing. He loves the bats pop but just doesn’t like the feel of its super skinny no taper design. He is more consistent with the cat x handle profile. The tank is another really nice handle profile that seems to feel good to him in the hands. What is your opinions on the handle profile past and present for the hype will?
They should make a hype fire drop 3 if it’s even possible
