Something to note: Keep in mind that I'm just a normal guy who loves cars. I'm not a trained mechanic, although my father was. If something interesting car wise comes up, I try to film it and upload it for entertainment and the "look at what I done" factor. Pat me on the back, or give me a "good game" pat on the butt. These videos are meant to inspire other DIYers. Working on cars can be dangerous, even life threatening, if the proper cautionary measurements aren't taken. You also run the risk of damaging your vehicle and or voiding your warranty. If for any reason you feel like the job is too big to handle, I would suggest consulting with a professional mechanic.

Time for some E85!!!
@Chris Twiner Sounds good. I'll go over and join.
@@cmattdabratjust never leave e85 in the car more then two weeks without running. Even 4 weeks the fuel starts to rot and destroy fuel systems
This is the car project we didn’t know we needed
Thanks!
I love how educated this guy is
Absolutely loving it!! Looking forward to more!
Thanks! I appreciate it!
I've been enjoying the turbo build on the Cruze. Keep on grinding my man!
I appreciate it! Definitely will.
binge watching rn bro mad respect from the 4 cylinder community
Thanks bro! I really appreciate it.
This is an awesome build. Keep it up man.
Thanks bro! Will do. Lots more to come.
Can't believe I'm barely finding out about this! Love this series man!!
Thanks! And welcome aboard! Lots more to come once the engine gets out machine shop jail. lol
Never heard of dude but glad I did! Badass Videos bro keep it up can’t stop watching the cruise build! 🔥
Appreciate it!!
Subbed. Great content and love the positive attitude. Keep it up
Thanks! I appreciate it. More to come soon.

Thanks! I appreciate it.
Just found your channel
Keep up the good content👌🔥🔥

Just found your channel. Great vids. Reminds me of my turbo LD9 build. Love surprising people with a GM economy car
Welcome aboard! Thank you. LOL, not too many people would expect a platform like this to haul the mail.
I don’t have a Cruze nor will I buy one but this build was awesome to watch 💯 makes me want to try and twin turbo my grand Cherokee lol
lol, that's awesome it's encouraging you.
Your dog is so funny. Always wants to guard your head.
LOL, he loves attention and any time I'm at floor level, he's a leaner.
Great series still haven't seen your port and polish video
Thanks! th-cam.com/video/bRPY7nrFwVg/w-d-xo.html
who knew a screen printing aficiando and a first class car motorhead pretty kool
Hahahah, I'm a semi pro musician as well... I'll work on another channel in the future to teach people how to play guitar. I've been playing for 26 years. I have a lot of music videos hidden on my personal channel because I'm converting this one to a car channel. Might rename it...
Well once again you inspired me. After wanting to go e85 for awhile in my cruze I'm doing it. We're going with 40LB injectors and Jerry and Bad News Racing is going to tune it. Have the injectors and plug adapters on the way. Fingers crossed. We're both curious if it's going to work but I think it shouldn't be a problem
Nice! Did you get an e85 sensor as well? I don't have one, but tuned it to run on e85 100% of the time.
No we're doing the same. Just tuning it to run e85 after I install the larger injectors. Have you had any problems with e85?
this thing sounds so good!!! do you have 3 inch piping? I couldn't really tell in your previous video.
Thanks! I'm moving up to 3" with the larger turbo, but at the time of this video it was 2.5".
Make sure the engines up to heat before doing any logs or changes with laptop
Good call
Loving the content, I got a 1.8 and been looking around on throwing in a turbo. Gonna have to find a shop or someone to machine me out the parts for it. Gotta wait till I move back to the good old MO to work on it all though. Got any tips for when the work starts?
Thank you! That sounds awesome. The custom things you'll need is a manifold for the turbo, a down pipe to hook up the turbo, and you'll have to rethink the catalytic converter. It's possible to mount one right after the turbo. Aside from that, I'd say the most important thing will be adding a one way check valve between the PCV and the throttle body. How much boost are you shooting for?
I plan on rebuilding or having the engine completely rebuilt to be able to manage maybe 15-20lbs of boost.
@@philipmcguire1645 Nice! I'm shooting for 25 psi with the latest build.
That’s a pretty sick amount to throw down for the engine. Once you get it all figured out I’d love to see the dyno charts to see what the hp is before and after. I need to take mine in and get it dyno tuned after I get a new cold air intake for it
@@philipmcguire1645 Let me know what kind of figures it makes. I'll definitely vlog and show the results once it's all together and making max power with the new setup.
What the difference between 2014 chevy cruze 1.4t and 1.8 exhaust manifold can I use the 1.4 to turbo a 1.8?
There's a big difference. Spacing between ports, bolt pattern, etc. You can use the manifold and turbo from a 1.6t. It's the overseas version, but basically the same block. ebay.to/2ZKQEyk
at 9:45 im all like wtf is wrong with your hat
LOL! Dobbies definitely think they're hats.
Are these the injectors advertised on ZZP for the 1.4? Do they provide injector data as well?
They're the 60# EV1 Semens injectors which fit both models of cars. They didn't provide any, but I also didn't ask. I was able to find the data for them. All I really had to do was change the minimum pulse width, and scaled the injectors flow rate up almost 200%. I used Goat Rope Garage's tutorial on scaling injectors to get in the ball park. Was pretty simple.
@@cmattdabrat Ahh, glad it worked out for you! I've just ordered a set of injectors from FIC 650cc/60lb. Ive been wanting to boost my cruze for ages and seeing your vids has made me finally start the process! Have a gt2560r on the way and spent a day making my own manifold flange. Your vids are really paving the way for this mod, theres virtually nothing except for a post from the philipines.
Bro I need u for my
Cruze frfr
LOL, what do you need help with?
Matthew Chevalier
Look at my video on my page for a rough surfing idle on 1.8 Chevy Cruze I have gapped my plugs to 0.035 and it made idle smoother but I need help have changed the head the head gasket timing belt vvt solenoids need your help bro ??? No codes tho it’s weird
oh gosh, you definitely should NOT be at 1 lamba under full boost! :O
LOL, learning experience. I'm getting there.
@@cmattdabrat keep on keeping on!
sounds like SRT 4
Love me some SRT-4s
Where did you get the injectors
ZZP!
I didn't know Tom Hanks has a chevy Cruze. And likes to tune his car
LOL! I get Tom Hanks, Paul Rudd, and John Wick.
@@cmattdabrat yea John Wick!
@@mecanicageneral615 lol
Thankfully these motors are not direct injection 😁 I have seen how terrible valves look in DI motors after not even a lot of milage
True! To keep it even cleaner, for the sake of a performance build, route the PCV to a catch can and you'll be golden.
0:43 She did not look amused!
LOL, she never does
I was just wondering don't you have to have it on the dyno to do all that air fuel tuning? I mean to see where your needing to add fuel or pull some fuel? You should check out this channel called (PFI SPEED..Brent is a tuning God).. Check out his channel on TH-cam, he's fucking awesome!!
Love their channel. Brent is a cool guy, so it Jamie, Phong, all the crew. You can tune on the street. I just takes longer because you can't control the load and RPMs. That, and it's not near as safe. I'm going to street tune it, to get it drivable. Once I get it to that point, I have a buddy that will let me use his dyno to dial it in.
Stock rods and pistons, shame on you man, be lucky if that crankcase doesn’t get vented” or lose a ring land
Let me know when you start forging pistons and rods.
@@cmattdabrat not available I take it ? That does suck, not to rub salt in the wound but I would of made both where available, you really can’t run much boost on cast parts.
