  • "SHOES" apart from helping us run also can do a very special job- show us the wear pattern. The bottom of the shoes not only can help us decide when to replace them but also show us where the force is getting concentrated while running.
This video will show us a few shoe wear patterns seen commonly and the reasons behind those patterns.

Thank you great information. What does wear in the middle front (toe part rather than heel) mean?

Hi this means that you run on your forefoot. If you are a sprinter this is fine. If you are a distance runner then this can cause problems later. Let me know if I can help you further 🧡

Yes. This is generally seen in forefoot runners which is not recommended for long distance running. This might over time give rise to heel pain and calf strain. Hope this helps Michael

Shoe wear patterns don't mean anything conclusive. The only thing that matters, I believe, is how comfortable you are running in a shoe. If you don't have any problems, don't worry about it.
