I finally test ride one. Seems sweet around town. I didn’t feel any engine heat and it was nimble. Plenty of power for in town. I didn’t get a chance to take it I. Any twistys. :(. The highway power may be weak if you have a lot of gear or a passenger. Other than that it seemed great. I have a drz that I love but I want more power, more range, 6th gear. The t7 seems perfect for now. I can’t wait to get one.
I'm in the same spot as you and I'm curious about those things. If could answer each would be great! 1. Is the seat more comfortable than on the CRF300L? 2. Is the On/Off throttle more noticeable than on the CRF300L? 3. Is the bike noticeably heavier than the CRF300L? 4. How nimble is the Tenere 700?
Great questions... Honestly the seat was fine on both bikes, but I'd say the Tenere's is a little wider to me. Making it more cofortable. The on/off seems "normal" meaning both bikes are intuitive once you know it's there. I'd give the nod to the crf tho. Weight wasn't an issue for me at all. The bike feels bigger and more planted than the CRF. It has more real estate but doesn't feel heavy. Assuming you'll notice the weight once off road. I'd say it's plenty nimble. but if you're comparing it to the crf... The Tenere has way better suspension, making it feel more confident and spry. The CRF is fine but the rear shock is so soft you get that squatty feeling. Since the CRF has much less weight making easier to man handle Having ridden both the Tenere is an upgrade in almost every way.
Next bike i have in my mind, beside those two,i know its weird couse its totally different, but its the upcoming speed twin 900.the 2025 with upside down and new look.i think i ll wait a few months to see it@@bertsbike
Nice bike, but the wind buffering makes mi bad. I cut down the screen to the pin and then i works 👍👍👍 I youse i bucket to test it. Its o awesome bike 🥰
Great video. The exhaust and intake sound super tame. What isn't tame is that wind buffeting.
Yeap. That windscreen isn't really gonna work if you're my height.

@@bertsbike Very helpful, thank you! When you say you'd give the nod to the crf, you mean the crf is more snatchy?
@@spring9603 Less so... But it's also half the engine.
@@bertsbike thanks!
did you test road the new transalp?i think on road and a little off roading,is a better bike.finally you bought it?i cant deside
No I haven't yet. I've seen/sat on one in person. It's probably the better choice if you're sticking to pavement.

@@thodoris3790 Looks like a really cool bike.

Cool 👍Thanks for the tip. I wish they would design these things without the screen.
I just sat on this bike and I’m 5’11..my feet were flat on the ground.
Yes. What's your inseam?
How much have u pay for it ?
If I were to have bought it, with fees, tax, title etc... was right about 13K.
i test ride one.the wind buffeting was awful and the suspension too firm.the engine power, nothing special.i think is an overrated bike
I see what you mean. I'm sure it comes into it's own on the trail. I wish they would design these ADV bikes without a windscreen.
Good bike too start with and end up with an africa twin
Both great bikes for sure!
I had the Africa Twin and sold it after 23k miles and a bad transmission, I'm buying the T7 due to better reliability and less weight.
