She said Qorboonet besham which is a Persian idiom that literally translates to I will sacrifice myself for you but the connotation is like "you are so dear to me"
She also said kheili jani , Jan means life , and the whole phrase means you are very lively, which has a connotation like " you are so lovely" .
I might not be totally correct cause she had a sweet local accent but it was a wholesome interaction.

Hi Mark, Those clay ruine building you mentioned were mostly Motels on the way at old times. We call them "Karevan sara". Some of them used to be castel or military camp, and some of them were kind of city's periphery walls.

Yes, was also my thoughts. All along the old caravan tracks every 50 km or so. Secure rest places for the traders with their pack animals. In our days (at least some decades back) this gave also the name to a chain of camp grounds in Turkey. It would be very nice if the ruines would be preserved. Perhaps one day they are even again needed as rest places along the trade routes. Save journey to Marc!

It's interesting to see what kind of support bike companies give (or dont). When Freddie Dobbs was having issues for months getting a gasket for his Triumph they seemingly didn't do much (I was going to buy the same Triumph as him but opted out). Then you see the opposite with Royal Enfield and Itchy Boots. RE seemingly can't do enough for here when needed.
So happy that your bike has been fixed. These mechanics are very experienced, knowledgeable and can do whatever they have to do. Have safe rides.
You are absolutely right to keep "venting " about Zero lack of acknowledgment its unforgivable, But this makes your journey 100 times more authentic. Other you tubers on sponsored trips know that help is a phone call away you have to find a man with a blowtorch. Its the real deal 👍😎 keep on rockin 🤘

That a company is not interested in supporting a youtuber whos travelling with their branded bike is nothing out of the usual. Their bussines is just to manufacture bikes not supprt people who buys their bike

For 2024, Zero has a full-on adventure bike. Luggage and everything. They should offer to take yours in trade for one at no charge to you for all you have done for them. Best of luck in your travels!
Oh they had the adventure bike ready to go when I reached out before I bought Eve second hand but they didn’t want me to know about it 😅 I must say, that was a little disappointing when they released it the day I started my journey to the uk on eve 😅

I think when Marc started traveling with Eve (his UK trip), Zero was just about to introduce the DSR/X but they hadn't yet. And given the new models for 2024, they certainly didn't want to offer him the 2nd generation S/DS models as they must have had the phase out in the planning stage. Unfortunately, where he is going has no Zero dealers, so he won't have any possibilities of support either. Let alone a place to trade in his SR/F for a new 2024 DS, DSR or DSR/X.
@@j_k9643zero told me to do it on a ds, knowing they would release the dsrx right when I started my trip. If I would have listened to them, the journey would have been a disaster.

Marc I have been watching your videos for a while now, mainly because of you and your great character, then because you're riding my dream journey in my country and I would do the same whatever bike you were riding but your videos have made me look up Zero and their bikes so I think they should atleast appreciate the free marketing and provide you with a bit of support.

I gave you such a big plug with Zero to offer you proper support as you travel as you are such an incredible endorsement for their product. Weeks later they said “ oh we are”. Which is apparently Not the case. Shame on them. I mean you are literally traveling everywhere and still able to find places to charge Eve. Amazing. You are an incredible young man. Keep the faith as they say. (The next time I see that Facebook Zero add I’m going to politely call them out. ❤

Absolutely! 💯 Percent. A resounding endorsement. But big companies love their free advertising. It would be so easy to help him out when Eve needs repairs or new tires. It’s so hard to believe that they remove themselves from this journey. They should be right there for him. Lazy on their part.
Bereite dich darauf vor das die Polizeibegleitung in Pakistan stressig wird, alle 20 Kilometer ist Wechsel deiner Begleiter. Dann wird immer erstmal ein Tee getrunken und es kann dauern. Setz dich nach 15 Minuten einfach auf dein Bike und fahr weiter, die kommen dann hinterher. Sonst dauert die Tour 5 Tage mit denen.
Be aware that for U.S. companies and U.S. citizens it is a felony to do business with sanctioned countries. Zero and their representatives will get in a huge lot of trouble if they do anything connected with Iran (and North Corea, Sudan and a few other states). According to U.S. trade laws it is not allowed to bring U.S. technology to these states. When bringing a Zero into Iran without governmental permission you also might furthermore refrain from entering the U.S. ever again.
I ahve to say its an open goal for Zero, missed badly an opportunity to support and highlight the efforts Marc is making travelling all over on their Bike, I can only assume they dont have a marketing department@@jurigagarin7829

Zero are really showing how much they care about their customers. You are doing more to promote their products than the entire promotional department at zero. Its zeros loss as I'm positive they would sold 100s of bikes if they had shared your journey. Keep sharing your amazing travels with us 👏👏

I wrote to zeros head office in Europe, and didn’t get a response. It really is their loss. You produce some of the best travel film I've seen. Your passion for travel and motorcycles is really contagious. Personally I feel zero should have you at every major motorcycle show they exhibit at because you are doing more for their brand than all their advertising team put together. Hey Marc, Eric here from Ontario, CANADA. I watch a lot of travel videos and yours came up on my TH-cam feed. I love the deserts of Australia and anyplace like that. Watching the landscape as you go through Iran, Pakistan etc is just stunning. What a huge land with so much to see and explore.
Just too bad the leaders of the Middle East couldn't watch your videos, then take a ride on an electric bike and see all that beauty, and just how people really enjoy all those simple things in life, cause that's what makes life so enjoyable. Maybe then and only then...would they see the futility of war with all the death and destruction they are causing. They are ruining our planet in so many ways yes? I mean bombing so many innocent people by the thousands, and destroying ancient architecture, homes, shopping malls, schools and hospitals. I mean...what are they thinking? Why not take up a hobby like photography or riding an electric/motor bike. Hard to understand all the hate and they accomplish nothing with all their destruction.
I mean...who's going to clean up all those flattened areas of GAZA? It would take decades. It's just insane.
Politics and nationalism are like a poison that has caused innocent people by the millions to suffer. What a mess.
Anyways mate, it's been an absolute pleasure to see the beautiful landscape of Iran through your eyes. And not too mention, I've learned a lot about just what those new electric bikes can do, and all the planning that goes into making sure you are charged up for the next day. So as a company it feels like they don't care about us, but as a business it makes more sense to handle it that way.

there is work around for the app. just delete and reinstall it but don't promote access to GPS and use static IP VPN. it works on similar issues in android apps i hope it works for you too.
by the way don't worry about that bike, it worth less than 400$.

Great vid, as always 👍 Also, top tip (again!), when plugging the bike in, it's better to put the bike charger in first, then the wall socket. Why? Because, if you do get an electrical arch, it's on the wall plug, which is easier and cheaper to replace, than the Mennekes (type 2) plug 👍👍
Alright. Though the charger would prevent something like this to happen. It’s really good quality and thought out 🙌🏼
J-1772 charging standard requires that the terminals be unpowered until the Proximity pin is connected. The EVSE has contactors in it that make/break the connection to the grid. So it doesn't matter which order you plug things in.

Hey Marc, I hope your doing great and your learning as you're going along. I've done 150,000kms in East Africa on two wheels and I'm not sure if motorists will get used to such a silent bike when used in dense traffic, people don't check their side mirrors before turning left or right, they open doors to get out without looking what's coming behind, so as you get close to Asia just stay focus on what could happen in a very dense traffic area like India or anywhere, just be careful, take care now!

I felt your pain and embarrassment when that happened. I'm glad that it wasn't worse or reacted to poorly by the people there. It just goes to show how considerate and friendly people can be. And you keep finding them along your journey Keep it up!

Buy a VPN software subscription from an EU software provider. If you use a VPN connection the you can pretend that you are still in EU. Don't use free VPN services inside Iran as you never know if they are one of the ones that steal your password and accounts. Always use a PAID EU service to be on the safe side. Almost any 12 year old in Iran can help you to configure it because they all do it. I do not know if Pakistan's electricity in Pakistan is as robust as inside Iran. Bon Voyage🎉
I’m always using vpn and it’s not the problem, it’s just their excuse for the app not working properly. It worked for a week in Iran and then logged me out for no reason. Been logged out for ages now, no matter what I do I can’t login
@@MarcTravelssome apps also use geolocation. So next time, you should start using VPN and disable the app's permission to use geolocation right before entering Iran. That's how I make some apps work whenever I visit. BTW, the girl was teaching you to kind of flirt with her in Persian with the regional accent. It was in a fun way. @@MarcTravelsI am thinking that the app is not the problem. It may be the cellular module in the bike. There is no VPN for that. And maybe Zero, as a US company, isn’t allowed to pay roaming fees to an Iranian communication provider. Which might be the reason that the connection is konlonger available. Just a guess. 🤷🏻♂️

I friend of mine has HD with belt. It has 120000 km on the original belt. Yes, it is true. I got the zeros right and he owns it since new. The secret is to keep the tension on the slack side. People are afraid to do that.
Yeah definitely cannot make it as tight as the manufacturer suggests. I‘m way under that! It snapped when I had it tightened to their specs

how do you know how many Zero motorcycles your series induced the purchase of? can you create a throughlink to zero that people can use to verify they bought because of you? have you tried sending a physical media package to Zero? I wonder if their lack of response possibly has to do with liability issues or state conflicts (US and Iran are not pals).
