Dude....do you have any idea how magical this video is? I've been waiting years to see how crash dummies worked!
That’s great! I’m glad I was able to give you the answers you’ve been looking for.
@Michael Ward if the spring is broken then you would need to make a new one but sometimes the spring can be bent so experimenting with bending it back into shape until it functions properly will work.
@Michael Ward use my techniques in the video and open the figure, may be the only way to fix it.
Exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much!
Glad I could help!

Thanks, i just got a purple spin crash test dummie, and it has the same issues , I plan to bend the wires back with a dental hook, and found your video a helpful reference. Thx.
Good luck!
Any idea how you might fix a limb that pops out when moved?? I have 2 dummies that have legs that when you move the legs it just pops out even though it will stay held in place if not moved
Hi! I’ll explore a fix and do a video on it. I’m sure if you just bend the wire inside it will probably help keep the limbs from popping out from movement.
Thanks I tried doing that last night but it didn’t seem to really help, aside from that though this video was immensely helpful
Did you know citgo slick and spin were the last figures in the vince and larry lineup?
I do now, thanks for watching!
Did u know the tiger toys inspector gadget with gogo gadget fumble gadgets figure flies apart the sameway as the crash dummies 2 button trigger and telescopic neck gadget also functions like crash dummies dary and pitstop ?

Ever try the boil and pop nethod?
Yes I have.
@Mr Anonymous when you boil water and put the plastic in the water to soften the plastic. This method allows you to pop limbs off of figures for customizing or repairing. Trying to do this without the boil method will most likely cause the plastic to crack or break.
How you make that tool?
It’s just a paper clip extended out with a small hook at the end. I used needle nose pliers to manipulate the shape.
I have a spin and slick and both the spring for their left arm has failed. Seems like a design fault
For sure!
