I remember a couple of the comercials. It seems like Scringy would have really enjoyed smashing these, since the point is to smash. Looks like a fun set and good that someone made something specifically designed for the boys who enjoy making their hotwheels and matchbox cars flying into wreckage piles. Oh the fun of those 1X2X0.5 cars and their little plastic tracks.
oh how I loved the 90's, miss it so much. us kids had to use imagination, the toys were fun, the NHL had great tough hockey, music was decent.. now..now its all just depressing..
Yeah, I totally remember Crash Dummies. I had an airplane that fell apart when you smashed it into something and a car that you could build by temporarily gluing pieces onto it using melted plastic, then crash it, and put it back together again. They were both very cool toys. Do you have those, Mike?
I remember Crash Dummies very well. I had action figures of them & my Mom saw that I broke them, but I shocked her showing the fact you can put them back together & brake them all over again! My Mom actually said,"I can't believe it! They have made a toy just for you!" (I was known for breaking lots of toys when I was a kid because as a kid I proudly said,"There isn't a toy out there I can't break!" A toy isn't a toy until you've broken it!
I grew up in the 80s when crash test dummies toys were HUGE!! But never seen this playset and my mom preferred getting us the Tyco ones over playdoh(though I don't know why....maybe they were cheaper?)...fun fun :)
I can never tell what it is about Mike. When you think about it he doesn't really have much to work with, old toys aren't really a great subject matter, but his videos are SO DARN ENTERTAINING! Thankyou Mike, you really are a genius. :-D
LOL! When I was a kid the Crash Test Dummies came to the local mall. My brothers and I got posters signed by them! I still had mine up until a couple years ago. I think they had a Saturday morning cartoon show as well as those ad council spots; does anyone else remember?
OMG....I own the car set and I really love it. Please review another crash dummies toys series, there should be many of them other than play-doh set. It simply one of the best car toys series.
I love watching the videos on this channel. Mike just sounds so excited and into what he does, he makes you just want to continue watching. He is funny and full of excitement. You can never get tired of him :)
i used to have crash dummies. it wasnt the playdoh one. it was the plastic where the head and arms would come off and pieces of ur car or motorcycle would go flying. it was actually really fun
Mattel brought back a version of these guys and they were marketed under the Hot Wheels brand. Each figure had a trigger chest that caused them to come apart in various ways. Crash was the blue one and he literally up blew apart. The yellow one, Crunch's head sunk into his body. Splice, the red one, split down the middle of his body and the grey one, Gyro's body and wist spun in opposite directions.
* makes a violent car crash massacre *
