When you live with someone that long, I don't care who it is, they're going to get on your nerves at times. There will be fights and arguments, especially with the stress of kids, family, a job and life in general. It depends on what the arguments are about and how you treat each other during them. Most people who really love and care about each other do fuss over stupid things. I'd rather our arguments be about me moving his stuff or him not picking up his garbage than more serious problems like an affair. To think that life will always be a fairytale and that 2 people will always get a long is a fantasy that just doesn't exist.
That’s the real reason Debra and Marie never got along, each one of them wanted what the other had. Debra wanted the unconditional love and obedience that Ray gave his mother, and Marie wanted the browbeaten wussy of a husband that would do whatever she said.

You missed a very funny episode where they get a new vacuum - Debra goes over to Marie's house looking for dirt - really funny - best series ever - cheers from Canada
This show was hilarious. Too bad they never did a separation episode. I know lots of sitcoms have used that formula but I think in Ray and Dan's case, that would've been interesting to watch
That would have been really good. It would be just like how Marie and Debra reached a point where they refused to speak to each other and the guys were forced to take sides.
JC Denton Ray has two needs. Sex from Debra and food and worship from his mother. His mother really has problems with the absolute idolisation of Ray over everything else. His father is Just plain nuts
In 8x14 Lateness after Ray left without Debra and just left her with a curling iron stuck in her hair she was so pissed off there were no words. She could've beaten him until he was half dead, cut the tv cable, or threw out his favorite foods so all he'd be stuck with is her disasters of meals but her revenge was making him wait purposefully for her to come up stairs. All of Debra's rage and her revenge was making him wait
While it can be argued Deborah may have some control issues that may need her to feel like she’s in charge all the time, the only time she ever really loses her temper is when Ray is doing something stupid, inconsiderate, or apathetic. Like the wedding video that he taped over. Or his refusal to help Deborah around the house when she needs it most. Or when he didn’t react to her choking. Or even the time that he committed the cardinal sin of dismissing Deborah’s issues by playing the PMS card. Was her anger excessive? Arguably, yes. Was it unjustified? No, not all the time. And given how common these scenarios are, it is often hard for her to not get more angry each time. But this is something that’s not uncommon in even the healthiest of marriages. This is especially true when both spouses come from two completely different backgrounds, such as Deborah coming from a more disciplined upbringing while Ray was often coddled and could virtually do no wrong in the eyes of Marie.
@@fishnewt1331 what about all the other times that she slapped and hit him and called him names and abused him emotionally. When Ray grabbed her it was in an almost playful way. He wasn't trying to hurt her. Debra just straight up hits ray.
@@lukedavis1436: Okay, your view is severely warped. 1) You think it’s okay for him to retaliate in kind because of what she did? Neither are good, but no one is walking in and putting all the blame on Debra as if Ray has not done any of his own emotional damage on her or neglect. 2) Playful? They were having a literal argument over pettily finishing a task they both were refusing to do out of spite. There is nothing playful about the situation and especially not when he was grabbing her to pull her off.
Funny thing is that Debra has got no one to blame but herself. When she and Ray met, Debra was a Public Relations Coordinator for the New York Rangers. She was essentially around rich hunks all day and as an attractive woman herself, she could have had almost anybody. And yet she chose an under-confident "assistant" futon delivery man who was living with his mother and had no future prospects. He could barely muster the courage to ask her out (his friend Gianni had to do it for him), and then completely botched the awkward Debra-naked situation afterwards, and then panicked and cancelled the date. Despite these apparent red flags, Debra went through the trouble to find his address and go to his house and drag him out on a date. That speaks volumes about her insecurities about herself. As if that wasn't enough, the first time her and Ray slept together, Marie got the whiff of it and showed up at Debra's apartment with Father Hubley to stop them from doing the deed. Ray was in his late 20s and Marie still babied him. That's another glaring red flag that debra ignored - his family was utterly meddlesome - and took the relationship to the next level anyway, and eventually ends up marrying him. Cherry on top, she practically forced Ray to move next to his parents while being pregnant with the twins, despite Ray being dead against it for obvious reasons. When Ally was born, Debra couldn't wait to get away from her overbearing mother in law after spending those nine months with her, and yet she thought it was a great idea to move across the street from her permanently. This is a TV sitcom. But if Debra were a person in real life, I wouldn't have the least bit of sympathy with her.
The most horrible wife and the most annoying husband I've ever seen. Why have I seen this show so many times! 😆 WHAT! How could you cut out them showering the kids!
What happened to number 5? I've been searching for it all over TH-cam & most of it has been cut out. That episode is so freaking funny because I reckon every husband throughout history has at least entertained the idea of leaving his wife behind after repeatedly asking her to start getting ready earlier. But not many of us would be stupid enough to actually do it. 🤪
2:40 WHY DID YOU MAKE ME DO THAT 2:43 I didn’t make you do it 2:46 I was trying to win an argument I didn’t think you actually try it 6:01 what did you do ray, WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO 8:02 AHHHHHHHH HEY
Whenever the episode revolves around Debra more than usual (such as when Debra stuffed socks in her bra or ran for the school board), I try to find a more enjoyable episode (such as Marie interfering with Robert’s FBI interview or Ally asking about God).
Everybody says that Ray is lazy but I really don't understand why. I mean yeah we'll occasionally see him sleeping while Deborah is cleaning or something. But that doesn't mean he's an uncaring lazy husband. And I'd be exhausted too if Deborah is constantly upset with me about something. Really the guy can't do one thing without triggering this woman.
lalala6751: He wouldn’t last a day in her shoes. She would probably laugh in his face sit and watch as he tries to chase the kids across the house with whatever mess before Marie comes by and belittles Debra for allowing the chaos to happen in the household. Then Debra would end doing what she does every day where Ray gets off Scott-free. So, don’t act like Ray is such a capable man because if Debra has to complain for his help, then it’s obvious she needs someone to have her back and he ain’t delivering.

I love this show not because I aspire to be like them, but because if this happened in real life it wouldn't be funny. Some jokes are funnier left unsaid in real life. But in a show, anything can be said.
You missed the point
Actually this marriage isn't that bad compared to others I've seen lol.
@Enricom23 I didn't say that there aren't families like these haha, just that we should not aim to have dysfunctional families:)
Kenny aka TI cough cough king of queens
@@keitholsen9435 OK have a perfect family. World is filled rainbow and sunshine only.
Should've included the fight about Ray helping Robert fake his wedding invitations.
My all time favourite is number 3 😆
Unbreakable Lindi Schmidt classic 😂👌
My favorite was number 2 but 3 is funny too!
Do a Ray and Robert fight video.
OMG! Still so funny. I miss those days. Best tv entertainment.
You missed a very funny episode where they get a new vacuum - Debra goes over to Marie's house looking for dirt - really funny - best series ever - cheers from Canada
Rehearsals must have been fun!! LOL!!
They always seem to compete against each other.
Robert & Raymond are like little boys the way they compete for "top billing'.
You forgot the fight where Debra took out all the bedding and left raymond nothing to sleep with
This show was hilarious. Too bad they never did a separation episode. I know lots of sitcoms have used that formula but I think in Ray and Dan's case, that would've been interesting to watch
That would have been really good. It would be just like how Marie and Debra reached a point where they refused to speak to each other and the guys were forced to take sides.
Suit case was my favorite
Debra should've married Robert instead. Also, Raymond should've married his mother...
TheLastSaiyan That’s ideological thinking.
Robbie would be too boring for Debra.
#PeopleAreStupid
(Thank goodness I’m a Demi-God)
Robert was the only character I liked
JC Denton Ray has two needs. Sex from Debra and food and worship from his mother. His mother really has problems with the absolute idolisation of Ray over everything else. His father is Just plain nuts
Robert loved Debra so much. He idolized her.
That's Kinda Sick When You Said He Should Marry His Mother
In 8x14 Lateness after Ray left without Debra and just left her with a curling iron stuck in her hair she was so pissed off there were no words. She could've beaten him until he was half dead, cut the tv cable, or threw out his favorite foods so all he'd be stuck with is her disasters of meals but her revenge was making him wait purposefully for her to come up stairs. All of Debra's rage and her revenge was making him wait
Honorable mention: ray and Debra fight in front of the collesum in rome, Italy in the episode, "Italy".
Deborah has some serious anger issues! As a female I know if Ray was like her he’d be labeled “abusive”!
Ray has gone off on her plenty of times. Sometimes she deserved it. Sometimes she didn't.
Ray was not the perfect angel when Debra goes off on him. Stop labeling Debra as the bad guy when they both obviously had bad faults.
It’s a TV series!! IT’S FUNNY!! Hysterical. They aren’t real people.
@@fishnewt1331 ray never went hands on like she did.
Mikey D & Everybody Loves Raymond, good job! :) :)
Debra is a vicious bully. She keeps hitting Ray.
Yeah, like Ray wasn’t grabbing her when she elbowed him.
@@fishnewt1331 He defended himself when she was assaulting him.
@@lukedavis1436: Yes, grabbing a bag from his hands qualifies as assault first and not him grabbing her by the torso.
I remember seeing somewhere that one of the ELR writers actually taped the Super Bowl over his wedding video.
WHAT! How could you cut out them showering the kids!
Isn’t she Frankie on The Middle????
Yeah, but she was Debra first... late 1996 - early 2005. And excellent as both!
@@michaelrawson6261 Hey, who is Debra?
I can see why Patricia Heaton won so many Emmys.

I know. That's what I wrote. Im here because I watched the show "THE MIDDLE" not, "Malcom in the Middle"
Take some Midol for pms
Does it also help with bitchy Ray?
Lol pms one my fave even used the same lines on my dh
Best acting by my opinion, is when Ray recorded over the wedding video. There, there is no CUT because of a missing line./she forgets what to say.
That's why they take forever to get ready because they know you'll sit there until doomsday waiting for them.
2:40 WHY DID YOU MAKE ME DO THAT
2:43 I didn’t make you do it
2:46 I was trying to win an argument I didn’t think you actually try it
6:01 what did you do ray, WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO
8:02 AHHHHHHHH HEY
Where's "fold this shirt you fake husband"
Love conquerors all these arguments
what episode was 10?
I love ALL the characters EXCEPT DEBRA!!!
Me Too She Can't Even Cook
Whenever the episode revolves around Debra more than usual (such as when Debra stuffed socks in her bra or ran for the school board), I try to find a more enjoyable episode (such as Marie interfering with Robert’s FBI interview or Ally asking about God).
"Well stop it already" wow Ray really has no idea what he's doing at all lol
Does any1 knows where i could watch all the series???
Everybody says that Ray is lazy but I really don't understand why. I mean yeah we'll occasionally see him sleeping while Deborah is cleaning or something. But that doesn't mean he's an uncaring lazy husband. And I'd be exhausted too if Deborah is constantly upset with me about something. Really the guy can't do one thing without triggering this woman.
Super 😊
Lol suitcase was awesome too!
I love the suitcase episode.
Which episode is it? It cuts off when it's getting good...
Oh poor poor Debra I feel for her I could never tolerate a husband like Raymond
He should have kicked that banshee of a wife to the curb.
She's a physically and emotionally abusive wife. It's okay, though because Raymond's a man.
John Doe: And he is unmotivated and literally grabs her sometimes in the show. But don’t worry, she is just his wife.
lalala6751: He wouldn’t last a day in her shoes.
Ray never wanted to help with the kids! For him it was work, golf & sports.
Family was an afterthought.
My nationality is Ecuador and my parents are a little bit like his parents except for Frank. My father is nothing like Frank but my parents are from an older generation that they treat me and my sister like Robert and Raymond lol
Oh God, I'm russian and my grandparents are Frank and Marie times a million! Never a dull moment with them.
Romance girl
These are not arguments Raymond is a inconsiderate, self centred, selfish husband.
CT Dawg and Debra is a nut.
Nah, he’s just lazy and unmotivated. If you actually watched the show then you’d know Raymond isn’t any of those things.
John Petrinolis Debra is not a 🥜!
William Clogston oh ok
CT Dawg she kinda is. Although you can’t blame her, having to live next to Frank and Marie and Robert.
Honestly I think they deserve each other. He's lazy and thoughtless and she's mean and hypocritical, you don't want decent people being married to them.
the funny thing is his real wife looks like her,.Ray deserves much better looking lady, one who respects his fine great looks..she's even bitchier looking with all that stupid make up which makes broads look older, and trampy

If a man treated his wife the way Debra treats Ray, he'd face abuse charges.
They behave more like brother and sister 🤣
Well Ray is a mama's boy so it would make sense.
I DONT SEE THA NEEEEEEED! 😂😂😂
Never get married....great show though :)
That's all they did was fight. Is this really what married life is like?
No also avoiding each other and interfering with your children's lives because you're a controlling baby
No. But if every episode was them just doing normal everyday things like eat dinner, watch tv or go to the movies then it wouldn't be very entertaining would it?
❤😊 what did ray and Debra fight about the most just asking
Uh oh it's the yell machine, help me find the off switch!
My mom says their marriage reminds her of my mom and dad’s 😂
My name is not Judy.LOL
If there are really women married to men like Ray, I don't understand how they do it. He is a self-centered man-child!
I don’t agree. He was kind, passionate, attractive, and put up with Debra’s usually foul moods.
Yeah, but if a husband, any husband, treated his wife like Debra mistreats Ray, the villagers would come with pitchforks, torches and a rope to banish Ray from the kingdom.
Debra and her character emasculates Ray and it's funny... if a man did that, it would be criminal domestic abuse.
There's no need to get angry at debra saying she's bossy and all.....I totally agree with her ways of being with a man like that who's totally lazy, doesn't give a damn bout anything ....it's jus a show but yes that things happen in real life too...she has a right to get angry..ray is stubborn ....u don't fully know a person inside ways until u live with them because when you are boyfriend and girlfriend, you don't be with each other all the Time so it's different
