Hi, guys! It's great to see the tools you have created and acquired being put to use on your paying jobs. And it gives your customers the luxury of working with a trusted "one-stop shop" they can rely on to quickly service and restore worn hydraulic cylinders and other crucial parts with a quick turnaround. Brilliant. 22:00: I think those are the pigs I sent to Homey a couple of weeks ago. Hope he enjoys! Have a great weekend guys and see you next week! Cheers.
Normally I find unboxing videos inane but homeless nailed it right there. I made bore welder many years ago to eliminate having to set up and break down of the line boring machine. It was essentially similar to your boring bar but had the feed thread cut into the bar itself and ran in bronze bushings and a fixed nut. Threads were left with a large flat at the crest, mitigating wear. A 3mm pitch is optimal for layer buildup. Driving the bar was done via a simple gear train with an idler acting as a clutch which also allowed manual rasing and lowering of the bar using a hand wheel. Wire feed was an old mig welder wire feeder and the spool was also attached to the bar top so everything went around with the bar. This arrangement eliminates the wire flicking caused by the wind up using a fixed spool and rotating contact tip. Cut off wheels make excellent draught excluders simply held up to the bore bottom. They also create a pool of shielding gas in the bore which is good for arc stability. Side benefit was not havng to constantly cut new wire liners.

Absolutely love the efficiency with the bore welding setup, and being able to get other jobs done at the same time.
Good to see the shop made tool doing exactly what it was designed to do.
I do watch all your videos. Am very impressed with all of the tools that you have and your ability to use them. This welding and then boring job show your capabilities. Having the right tools is a must.
Friday morning and a new CEE video. I think it is a good start!
Greetings from Germany
Ok so the time you invested in building your welding stands just paid off , amazing work Kurtis well done my friend , and not forgetting your loverly Karen 💕
Green pallets? New shirts? New toys? What a day! Thanks all!
It's awesome to see businesses like yours that are successful, and knowing exactly why that is.
At the foundation you have integrity (the most important trait, doing what's right even when nobody else is looking), communication (fundamental in every kind of relationship), determination, you share your extensive knowledge, and an outstanding sense-of-hunor!
❤The standing back sped up footage of the second barrel was interesting. 👍
I've been watching lots of various TH-cam videos and as per my observation, this is also one of the channel with zero haters if I'm not mistaken.
Good luck (KK) Kurtis and Karen.
The highlight of the week has arrived! I can't wait to see how this job turns out.
Your Tools and the Knowledge on how to repair is UNMATCHED.......
When you built the fixtures for the welder, in a previous video, I didn't fully understand the intended use. Wow, bore, weld and finish bore with only one setup of the workpiece. BRILLIANT! I'm sure you have additional uses for them as well. Well done Mate.
Such a talented knowledgeable hardworking guy; and thanks Karen for all the videoing and no doubt hours of editing.
Woohoo !! Its 1am , here we go !!
11:30 PM IN California 11/21...2024
1:30 am central time...glad to see I'm not the only idiot up at this hour watching my fav youtube. lol
Greeting from Belgium CEE team, another Friday morning, so let's start the day with a CEE video and a cop of coffee 🙂. Talking about heavy V-blocks, In one of HAL's video's they make a reference to Kurtis on how they took Kurtis idea and fabricated there own 🤣.
Have a restful weekend.
Big paw from Sadie & Rønne
Artistry. It's a pleasure to watch you work Kurtis. Thanks!
Waited all week!!! Woohoo!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 best show on TH-cam :-)
Thank you Karen for your hard work, skill, and patience with editing and thank you Curtis for your speciality, knowledge, and explanations!!! Have a wonderful weekend you three (that includes Homeee too)
You are so welcome!
Kurtis, I love how you used your shop made welder stand and used a pin to center it to the cylinder eye after it was machined out. What a time saver!
I love your content. I myself work in an open pit copper mine , and it is cool to see the parts repaired
It's amazing the different machinery you have to do the different jobs you get. What's more amazing is the knowledge you have to perform those tasks. Good day mate.
Every time i watch one of these i see a cool new machining technique.
As I said in the bore welding fixture fabrication, this opens a whole new world of manufacturing and repair for you. Great idea and work video.
Karen's video skills are outstanding. She always comes up with new angles and ways of showing the work.
@@mongoose388 Absolutely spot on shots 👍🏻🤩
You have quite the shop setup. It’s interesting seeing all the tools you have made being used to complete these big jobs and make more tools.
That new welding stand you manufactured works beautifully. Good Going. Please give a scritch to Homey. Thank you.
right from the hi-lo to the bed of the machine. much better and no lengthy set up using other tools. great work.
I loved how the sound of the welding in the background was a sutle reminder that this was all time being saved thanks to the new tooling.
also: That's got to be the best pallet I've ever seen.
Curtis has an efficient way of working. His movements are deliberate with no wasted motion. I see this in everything from handling heavy materials to fine machine work…. It’s a mindset of sorts and a sign of a true pro
Damn that mill is huge!
Love the welding jig, works great man. Your customers must love you, you save them so much.
Friday night, CEE, Lets Go!
No it’s not, it’s Friday morning ;-)
2 back to back really helps efficiency! The shop made tool for bore welding paid for itself on this job alone. Great job you two, thanks for sharing.
Your fixturing is ART
Ah, the 120° heavies. I recall the effort Kurtis..and the adaptor too..
I loved their origin video's and love them in action. Also the Sunnen..
Watching the shop grow has been a right buzz and I'm grateful for the Giggle Girls effort to show it at its best...ta Karen. Can't comment without mentioning the Teeth and Muscle. If Homey had thumbs he'd be unstoppable....great stuff all round.
So satisfying to see you use all your shop-made tools!
Man so many toys both big and small…..just enjoy watch a Master at work…… your other half does a superb job of filming……Kudos to you both…… and least but not last…… the world famous shop dog…..👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome! What an amazing setup. Very efficient.
