Of course there is no evidence. It’s a way the “creatives” want to distract us from the real problems of The Acolyte: sacrificing good stories, good writing, good acting and good direction to concentrate on social agendas. Therefore, we must be racist, misogynist, homophobic and incels. Easier to label the fan base than to address the real issues.

Come on the show wasn't terrible. Yes it had some terrible moments but it did have some very good ones and it's ratings were actually pretty good just no where near enough to justify $180 million which I'm baffled to see where it went.
I mean, $180 million gets you dragons, massive battle scenes, massive sets, on location filming with lots of extras. It gets you Game of Thrones!
I think the execs are trying to work out where the hell $180 million went.

thats the exact game plan. whats crazy is they think keep doing it and thinking it will work and it never does. end of the day the only thing that matters is profit and viewers and you can lambast your fanbase as being "racist" all day long its not going to matter if they dont watch. Idk if their head is actually in the sand or if their agenda is so important to them that they dont care how much money they lose. Either way the agenda isnt working so idk why they keep bothering. If they put as much effort into making a good story and show as they do hating their own fanbase nobody would actually care how diverse the casting is, and theres plenty of examples of this and some are even pointed out in this video. Like mandalorian and ashoka, while not great but watchable and by all metrics were successful until the story went to shit, which had nothing to do with the diversity of the casting.

Which turn out to be not so much offerings as force feedings we're required to eat, smile, nod, and claim to like. Can't for the life of me figure out what might be wrong with that business model. And Rolling Stone started out of as a San Francisco counter-culture, underground newspaper that gave the insider view on the rock scene of the early 70s. It was as if the Grateful Dead had their own magazine, lol and for decades they were considered a magazine for hippies and stoners. Now they're just another establishment propaganda rag, who showed their true colors when they drove out journalist Matt Taibbi, who worked there for something like 15 years before he got the boot for one too many questions concerning establishment orthodoxies. Eff them. Now Drinker and his kindred spirits are all we have that pass for counter culture (also known as the right to disagree), and we all better rally to protect them, while we still cling tenuously to the right to say 'no, thank you'.

It's a very insular community of people who constantly praise each other and keep telling one another how amazing they are, and to just ignore all the "haters".
The problem is if you're hearing nothing but how awesome you are you'll never improve, because nobody is putting a check on your rampant ego and giving you the constructive criticism you need to be able to actually get any better. If you think everything you do is awesome, why would you try to make it "better?"
And when they put it out into a wider audience, they get gut-punched by the reaction of the actual public who doesn't hold back in telling them it's all crap.
Which just causes their insular little community to circle the wagons even tighter and call everyone criticizing them *ists, *phobes, etc.

I studied poli sci. As part of that, I had to do a lot of media analysis. The one big take away I had, and which I advise all my friends of is this:
If you're reading a news article - regardless of the outlet, regardless of the journalist - always read the *last* paragraph first. Because if there is any truth in an article....That's where it will be buried.
Everything before it is, more often than not, distracting emotional fluff, or senationalist allegations, which are only revealed as disproven/unproven in the last paragraph.
That Rolling Stone article is a good example.

It didn't mind the Acolyte. It was ok, but the only good thing that came out of it was the lightsaber choreography. Overall, it wasnt a success. What is a successful strategy to get people to universally hate your series is by claiming your audience is racist. We're not against women or someone of a different skin color is the lead actor, but what we are against is bad acting & writing, poor plot/story arc, and lackluster character development. For years Disney's Achilles heel with Star Wars is that it sacrifices good story telling for a political agenda. The Acolyte overall was just that, and it was bad product. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Things like watching the Witcher go down hill in the last couple seasons, or that the rings of power was garbage, I go online to see if I'm crazy or being cynical or something. And all the media sites tell me I'm wrong and Hollywood is doing an amazing job.
