This is one of the best instructional videos I’ve seen! Thank you from a beginning pottery student who has a day king class today. I will definitely be utilising so much of this content. Thank you again 🙏🏻
Hi Bill from Australia. As I have some back issues with throwing, I have been doing some hand building, and this last video of yours has given me a lot of thought. All of your videos are so well explained and very easy to follow. Thank you
Oh and thank you for the tip with water and throwing. I’m new to the wheel and have realized after watching your video that my problems were caused from drag. Thank you for that too!!!
That was an excellent presentation. I’m beginning ceramics again, & I’ll use those techniques in my creations. Thank you for sharing both your talents & your conservative views on tools.
La mejor clase que he tenido desde la Web. Estoy muy feliz de haberlo conocido. Entiendo poco del inglés Pero Ud habla muy claro y tiene acento inglés de England
First time I’ve watched one of your videos but it certainly won’t be the last! Loved it, and learnt a lot of useful tips. Thankyou so much for sharing.
I am so thrilled to have run across a recommendation on facebook about you. You are a talented, generous teacher and right now with quarantine going on a welcome diversion. Thanks so much for posting videos. Would love to do some workshop some day from you!
This 'rocked' my world. Great video, so thorough and well explained. I also really love this elegant form. Missing taking your classes! Glad your ribs healed up.
What a stellar video. Your teaching style is so easy to follow. Even though I’m just playing with air-dry clay I was riveted the whole time and will try this technique. By the way kudos to the videographer, also perfect! Thank you.
Thanks Bill for another great video! As soon as your theme music came on at the end, my Hanna came right over for an ear scratch. 🐶 She’s a 40 lb Goldendoodle, named for the Susquehanna because Lake Otsego, here in Cooperstown, is one of the river’s sources. I’m so glad to have her company, especially these days! She sends her best to your four-footed friends!
Bill, you are such a great teacher. Funny on the amount of water while you were throwing. I was just wondering about it and you put up the text to explain it! Lots of great tips. You always suggest other options too as you go. Love your videos!
You take slab building to a level of artistry. By far the absolute best info for how to slab build. New subscriber her and dang it! Now you really have me wanting to buy a slab roller. There’s a used Bailey at my local pottery supplier that I have been eye balling and I’m starting to feel like it’s going to end up coming home with me 😬.
As a total newbie and a new subscriber, I'd love it if you told us why you are using each tool, what's the purpose and what you are accomplishing. Love your videos!
thank you for your videos they are very informative and full of good advice I wanted for the storage of wooden shapes used to cut the slabs, the wooden cube system is removable thank you Nathalie LONCHAMPT (Compiègne , FRANCE )
Thank you Bill I enjoyed your Video. I should have been on your course next week in Italy I was so looking forward to it. Iv re booked so I will see you May 2021 Rachel
Hi Bill! Hope all is well! Quarantine has given us more creativity time! I guess that is a silver lining. Oh, I never saw that trim tool used that way . That little rib is something I use all the time. It's a go to tool!! Galleries are a fav thing to do . You taught me so much over the years at SNC ! Those were very happy times in my life. Thank you forever!
Thanks so much. I'm wondering if you've had any problems with pieces shaped like this slumping when they're fired. I just made something similar and my teacher tells me I need to use wedges to support it in the kiln.
Now that was an interesting video. Light trimming of the wet clay was new to me, but the potato peeler was a revelation, thank you 🙂 I'm also really interested in knowing how you made the lines in the mold at the 30 minute mark. They are not concentric around the middle in the bowl so they're not made on the mold during trimming. Can you tell more about that detail?
This is awesome 👏 thank you for taking the time to share with with us! ❤
You are a very good teacher. I love your work. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Bill. Your videos are so very helpful.
You are a wonderful teacher!
I have learned so much from you over the years. Thanks for your good instruction.
