So you would have to work non stop without any delays, breaks, eating or bathroom to get that 1500 per day. Not happening. This is plain old cheap labor. 10hr days making around 800 pots that sell to retailers for below retail cost. So about $2 per pot. $1600 profit per day for the business. But we have multiple processes that require more than just the forming and require additional employees. A total of 8 min. That's 200 a day, but you have to take out the overhead, gas electric raw materials maintenance water ect.. these slaves make $2 an hour at best with no benefits overtime pay or retirement working 60 hrs a week. Just imagine what these women would do if you offer them a lousy $100 😂

I have to say it saddens me to see this type of manufactured pottery. I was a potter for 15 years and struggled to make a living from hand thrown pots, I had to change my carear in order to feed my family and buy a house. If you can afford too, please try and support your local potters if you have any left, yes, it cost more but they keep the true craft of hand thrown pottery alive.
These pots are used daily for meals. Sometimes each person get a pot for his/her meal. They are not meant to show case artistry. If these folks produce completely manually, they would not meet the demand or just like you, can’t make ends meet. Beside the process is not fully automated. They are more likely a co-op or family business which is common on that part of the world.

I have no need for clay soup pots, but after watching this I still want to buy a dozen of them and find a use for them.
The clay bowl slowly heats up and slowly cools down. It means that the hot clay bowl keeps the food or soup warm for a long time.
