      Unless you sit in front of it and play it against something it's really hard to tell exactly how good it really is. Having said that I own a Boucher.

    Your brilliance as a musician, pales to your love of promoting and demonstrating these beautiful instruments. Mr. Cormier, I don't believe you know the impact you are having on people wanting to learn and play, any instrument, for that matter. You said guitar sales are up 700%, I believe during this Pandemic. On you 'Life and Times' program, you kept saying how fortunate you were , when something bad happen, it opened up another door, that took you to another level of great luck and opportunity. I believe you said, 'the perfect storm'. As bad as the Pandemic has been, bringing all of us to our knees, it opened up another opportunity for you. Because of the Pandemic , you have devised this type of format, through TH-cam, to demonstrate the pure joy and pleasure one gets, while playing music. You ,Sir , are also responsible for moving that needle toward 700%, as well. All people want and need is an honest opinion, and you, have provided that. Thank you...

    Just received my SG-52 from Canada two days ago and I am really impressed with this guitar. The build quality is top notch and the sound is incredible. I get up in the morning and make coffee for the wife and have to pick up the guitar and give it a strum. It’s like I have to check it again first thing in the morning to make sure it really is that good. It is that good!
    Also, thanks for your videos!

    Dear John....I´m really searchin the right words for what I want to tell you, after I heard you playin this wonderful guitar Mr Boucher built for you. It might be the impression of how you played Lindsey Buckingham´s "Never Going Back Again" so incredibly well in the only way of groove - I know you play for about 40years now - or/and is it the heartful dedication to your new instrument - it´s healin my old musicians heart for some days, Im shure about that - thank you John !

    Stumbled upon your channel a few days ago while researching acoustic guitars and it’s fantastic! You are the real deal and I love listening to musicians like yourself! Your insight is fantastic and your a phenomenal player! Your insight on Martin and Gibson is great and I couldn’t agree more. I’ve been playing guitar for about 20 years and my most played guitar is an Epiphone acoustic that was about $150 USD and I love the sound of it…granted I have never been able to afford more expensive guitars but it’s a fantastic guitar and I play it almost every day. I always think of my favorite blues musicians like Muddy Waters, and Lightnin’ Hopkins and the amazing sounds they got with whatever guitars they could get their hands on. Every once in awhile I get tempted to buy a new acoustic to take the place of my Epiphone when I see other musicians fancy new guitars but in the end my guitar is worth a lot more to me than much more expensive guitars out there and there are cheaper guitars that sound great! My Epiphone can take a beating too and I take it everywhere with me. Love the channel!!! I’m already a huge fan!

    In the video you posted on "Why you hate Marting Guitars", you stated that people hate you without cause. Well, I have cause - I now officially dislike you despite the fact that you are a very good person. Why do I dislike you? Pure, unadulterated jealousy (no, I don't really dislike you - just a turn of phrase hiding my envy [very poorly at that]). Envious of what? Yes, your Boucher BG52 Bluegrass Dreadnaught. I have played and heard some very special guitars. Your instrument? Comparable to an Olson I heard played on TH-cam. In other words, jaw-dropping excellent, right at the border of unbelievable (I do believe it. It's just so good as to shake up my notion of excellent).
    You are a very fortunate guitarist, John P. Cormier. You own and can play at your desire, a truly special guitar. Loud, articulate, exceptionally voiced, appears to be very playable, tone and sustain that extend to infinity (maybe not infinity, but certainly further than some other high-quality instruments).
    Just, WOW!
    Thank you for playing it as much as you did. This video was quite the treat.

    @jameshill2015 ปีที่แล้ว

    This was a comment l wrote on "Why l hate Martin" but l finished during this vid and it posted here. l don't know why but please know that before reading this....
    JP.. "you can't please everyone so ya have to please yourself" l started watching your vids when l was looking for a review on the Epi Excellente, now l am no fan of the genre music you play however l recognize your ability to play your music is exceptional. That being said l do enjoy and watch many of your videos and respect your opinion.. your straight up about how it is, "The man who speaks the truth is the most hated man in the room!" sooo the "Forum" you speak of is a lil proof of that. Well, you were the determining factor and did indeed sell a Epi Excellente based on me trusting your opinion after hearing other similar common opinions, lm glad l did, it's a fabulous guitar. You ARE a guitar player and play better than most, the style you chose is by no means an easy style to play, you know a good guitar from a great guitar. You feel that because Martin chooses to use CNC that it's not the quality of being 100% hand built or hand crafted, l feel that they are using it to the advantage of consistency. We do not live in 1920 and some amazing instruments are being made at a very high level of quality using these machines. I know that there are far more differences in one boutique hand made guitar to another hand made guitar of the same model than there is with guitars that are CNC'd to some degree. It's nice to buy a D-28 and knowing that your chances are really good (still not guaranteed) that it's going to play and sound like a D-28... consistency will no doubt increase the chance of that happening, not all vintage D-28's sound great and certainly have more differences in neck profiles, top thickness, brace similarity. I'm for newer guitars that in a quality manner be it Martin, Fender, Gibson, Taylor or Epiphone.. they all use CNC for areas of their guitars and are simply amazing and very consistent. Two days ago l bought a 1996 Martin HD-28, it is so incredible l think l could sell my other acoustics and not miss them.. l had no idea a guitar could project, produce these tones, just "BLOW YOUR FACE OFF!' but it simply does, because of the price l never gave Martin a chance but things happen, my first is an Ovangkol D-16, liked it so much l bought a 95 D12-1 12 string then l had to have a HD-28.. I feel complete.. l have all l want at this point. I do love Martin..THANK YOU John, love your show!!

    JP I really enjoy listening to you talk about guitars and of course the awesome playing too. I noticed you keep mentioning K&K pickups in several of your videos. I used to use K&K pickups years ago and they're great until...I came across the Schatten HFN pickup. I consider it the rare gem of acoustic guitar pickups. You should give one a try I promise you will thank me later. They're Canadian made too!
