I could listen to this man talk about guitars all day.. Hes not kidding when he say that thats the best Dread he ever played..I spend my nights watching acoustic guitars videos(im obsessed) and this is the best sounding acoustic i ever heard.
J .P what a wonderful warm man you truly are. I have no doubt Robin is as proud of his connection to musicians like you. I was given a LL 36 by my son it made me go back to the pyramid.
Just received my SG-52 from Canada two days ago and I am really impressed with this guitar. The build quality is top notch and the sound is incredible. I get up in the morning and make coffee for the wife and have to pick up the guitar and give it a strum. It’s like I have to check it again first thing in the morning to make sure it really is that good. It is that good! Also, thanks for your videos!
Your brilliance as a musician, pales to your love of promoting and demonstrating these beautiful instruments. Mr. Cormier, I don't believe you know the impact you are having on people wanting to learn and play, any instrument, for that matter. You said guitar sales are up 700%, I believe during this Pandemic. On you 'Life and Times' program, you kept saying how fortunate you were , when something bad happen, it opened up another door, that took you to another level of great luck and opportunity. I believe you said, 'the perfect storm'. As bad as the Pandemic has been, bringing all of us to our knees, it opened up another opportunity for you. Because of the Pandemic , you have devised this type of format, through TH-cam, to demonstrate the pure joy and pleasure one gets, while playing music. You ,Sir , are also responsible for moving that needle toward 700%, as well. All people want and need is an honest opinion, and you, have provided that. Thank you...
I have been watching You for over a year now. I love Your pickin, and honest reviews. Im 87 years old, been playin guitar for 75 years, I have owned many guitars over the years, but none sounded as good as that beauty. THANKS.
Robin is one of the nicest guitar builders that I ever met. A few years ago on my way to Montreal I dropped into his shop without notice. He welcomed me with open arms.. If you love GREAT Guitars...Bouchers are among the best....THANK YOU ROBIN ...
Another incredible Boucher JP! Seven years ago I was fortunate enough to become the second owner of a mint condition Boucher Brazilian "Goose" Dreadnought AVT3. I still marvel at its wonderful sound and depth.
Stumbled upon your channel a few days ago while researching acoustic guitars and it’s fantastic! You are the real deal and I love listening to musicians like yourself! Your insight is fantastic and your a phenomenal player! Your insight on Martin and Gibson is great and I couldn’t agree more. I’ve been playing guitar for about 20 years and my most played guitar is an Epiphone acoustic that was about $150 USD and I love the sound of it…granted I have never been able to afford more expensive guitars but it’s a fantastic guitar and I play it almost every day. I always think of my favorite blues musicians like Muddy Waters, and Lightnin’ Hopkins and the amazing sounds they got with whatever guitars they could get their hands on. Every once in awhile I get tempted to buy a new acoustic to take the place of my Epiphone when I see other musicians fancy new guitars but in the end my guitar is worth a lot more to me than much more expensive guitars out there and there are cheaper guitars that sound great! My Epiphone can take a beating too and I take it everywhere with me. Love the channel!!! I’m already a huge fan!
Robin Boucher your Masterpiece Guitars are very awesome congrats my friend !!! Its my dream Guitar thanks to John that has showed us what a REAL Guitar should sound and play like Cheers Robin!!!
I love your videos! Thanks again for this one. I saw a lot of reporting on Robin Boucher and his team. Indeed, one can see how this man is benevolent. I especially like the way you talk about him in this video, his team and of course the amazing Boucher Guitars. You also sound like a great guy, besides the great Musician that you are. As for me ... I look forward to September because I will see my first Boucher, a 000, and a few months later, another Boucher, an OM. :) Long, looooong life to Boucher Guitars, and thank you to Robin and all his team and you! Friendships from France. Alexandre.
Wow Wow Wow!! Is all I can say about this guitar. The tones and depth of the sound this produces are crystal clear, and I have to say your playing skills are amazing. I've been playing a long time and this thought has never crossed my mind before but this guitar sounds 3-D I thought my Taylor 814CE sounded good and it does but Wow! I'm just blown away with the sound of the Boucher! Thanks for the introduction and mini concert. You're skills are amazing 👏
Dear John....I´m really searchin the right words for what I want to tell you, after I heard you playin this wonderful guitar Mr Boucher built for you. It might be the impression of how you played Lindsey Buckingham´s "Never Going Back Again" so incredibly well in the only way of groove - I know you play for about 40years now - or/and is it the heartful dedication to your new instrument - it´s healin my old musicians heart for some days, Im shure about that - thank you John !
It helps that you could make a dull garden rake sound good but that is a smokin guitar JP...its unbelievable how well you play it and everything else you review .....well done man ! Cheers from Texas !
I bought #1189 and I am floored by it. It does everything JP says and then some. Glad I got mine before they get too expensive....and they are worth it !
Even through my cheap computer speakers and the compression of TH-cam I can tell that is one amazing-sounding guitar!! So balanced each note just rings out crisply with perfect bass and treble balance!!
Just got one. Hard to get it here to Australia, but Roger Schmidt at Brickhouse enabled that for me, and was very helpful along the way. It's just an astonishing guitar. Every note in every position has such great tone, and thickness. It's louder than any other guitar I've played, and it's just a joy.
The guitar seems to have a remarkably balanced voice. Very informative review. There certainly are, and have been for many years now, some incredible Canadian luthiers.
Well you’ve made me a convert. My next guitar will be a Boucher. A plus is that they’re Canadian and well, so am I haha. Cheers and thanks for the review.
Friggin WOW ! You need to do a longer review of playing this again . I really couldn`t hear all the tone with the base on the drop C you said . Can you just play that thing a little longer on your next vid ? It`s freaking amazing . Thanks man .
Man, you are an EXCEPTIONAL guitar player. This guitar is everything you said! For those of us that can’t even come close to being able to afford this, can you think of a guitar that’s KINDA similar for less???
Thank you Mr. Cormier. Great review of this amazing guitar. And I loved hearing you play it. Lindsey Buckingham was one clever guitar player. I’m thinking he endorses this rendition!
Hey JP! I am not an acoustic player, neither super familiarized with the bluegrass universe, but I would love to know the name of the second tune (in case it is not an original composition) that you play around the 13:30 time mark. Thank you so much in advance. Keep doing what you are doing and thanks for inspiring me to pick up my acoustic! Cheers from Barcelona!
I've got a spruce with almost the same setup. Master grade top, wider string spacing, koa binding, but bubinga instead of EIR. Amazing instrument, just wish I had got the B inlay on the 12th fret.
Years back I remember seeing these at much lower prices here in Québec... few years later and boom they suddenly at 6,8,10k each... Feels a bit Canada Goose to me but what do I know. Great video, love the passion.
I could listen to this man talk about guitars all day.. Hes not kidding when he say that thats the best Dread he ever played..I spend my nights watching acoustic guitars videos(im obsessed) and this is the best sounding acoustic i ever heard.
I agree 💯…. This guitar Sounds so refreshing.. if you know what I mean … unreal
Pl
Unless you sit in front of it and play it against something it's really hard to tell exactly how good it really is. Having said that I own a Boucher.
J .P what a wonderful warm man you truly are.
I have no doubt Robin is as proud of his connection to musicians like you.
I was given a LL 36 by my son it made me go back to the pyramid.
Wow , just wow , both the playing and the guitar…. incredible how this “Bluegrass” Dread sounds otherworldly too Fingerpicked …. love it

I just brought this one home tonight . I can not comprehend perfection. I am just in awe every time I pluck the strings on this instrument.

I have an 84 Dy 74 that I love it's a lifetime guitar... I have had it 20 years or so and Everytime I strum a cord on it it makes me smile.
I have been watching You for over a year now. I love Your pickin, and honest reviews. Im 87 years old, been playin guitar for 75 years, I have owned many guitars over the years, but none sounded as good as that beauty. THANKS.
Leaving aside the musicianship for a moment, you, J.P., seem to be a really good guy.....
Your playing is so good in so many ways ,I listen to the reviews for both the opinion AND the playing. You have the chops!
Robin is one of the nicest guitar builders that I ever met. A few years ago on my way to Montreal I dropped into his shop without notice. He welcomed me with open arms.. If you love GREAT Guitars...Bouchers are among the best....THANK YOU ROBIN ...

Brilliant, JP. Just amazing guitar and playing. I can't get enough of your thoughtful commentary.
I have had this guitar in a sunburst for 18 months. It is awesome and better now than ever. If you can buy one you will never let it go.
Boucher just amazing works of art
JP I watched your bg52 revue almost 12 times and still enjoy.
that Irish jig killed me, speed and accuracy and the quick doubling up (not sure how to describe) really great.
Sounded amazing JP! Loved your rendition of the Fleetwood Mac song as well.
A beautiful sounding work of art, and articulate. The price reflects a master grade guitar. Can’t wait to hear more from you and your new BG-52. 🎧
Wow sounds like the mic is inside the guitar. No buzz , no rattle, super clean.
i can't play a dread any more due to sore shoulders, but I did pick up a 000 Studio Goose, and it's flippin' fantastic too.
Gorgeous! You have changed my mind about Boucher guitars and can’t wait to buy a 000 in the future!
I'm fortunate to have a Boucher Heritage Goose 000, and it is my joy and delight!

Absolutely gorgeous sound! Wow! Looks it as well. I probably would not be able to afford something that beautiful.
It was exactely the same thing I was thinking before you said it, a piano in the shape of a guitar. Great sound indeed.
Friggin WOW ! You need to do a longer review of playing this again . I really couldn`t hear all the tone with the base on the drop C you said . Can you just play that thing a little longer on your next vid ? It`s freaking amazing . Thanks man .

Hey JP! I am not an acoustic player, neither super familiarized with the bluegrass universe, but I would love to know the name of the second tune (in case it is not an original composition) that you play around the 13:30 time mark.
