I liked that thing when you guys first unboxed it; while there are certain companies that I feel like destroy a guitar when they bake it, Boucher isn’t one of them. I really like the tone of this a lot!
Wery interesting comment, yes here in NZ, I've played a few and have never been impressed by the few I've played, maybe as you said, they've overdone it😮😊
I love when you showcase your talented staff playing a given instrument! It really allows one to hear it with a variety of touches and contexts! Nice to hear JP playing his Joni arrangement as well, he’s simply a master!! Re the guitar itself, really resonant and 3-dimensional sounding!!
An all around users review..with different hits and music style..... This Mahoghany Dragon sounded perfect to all "musical conditions"!!! Best review I've ever seen guys.....Congrats!!!! ❤❤❤
Almost sounds like it’s Rosewood guitar! Wow what a sound and masterpiece instrument, I sit every evening with my JP Boucher and play it with love and gratitude 🙏🏽 for wonderful Luthiers and craftspeople thanks to Robin Boucher and his divine contribution!
What a lovely guitar👍🇨🇦👍These Everyone Plays videos are my favorites. Great to hear different things from an instrument in different hands. Although, I missed Liz's perspective...
Fine sounding guitar and exceptional picking by all, especially JP. Not sure what this one cost, but it'd be well worth it ... (Just checked pricing ... out of my price range by a bunch but what a fine sounding dread)
@@carole8312 thank you. Which one do you have? I am interested, though I will wait at least a few months before ordering one. Too many guitars, need to sell some.
59th listen & tag-along view; 7th LIKE posted. Yep - sounds and looks great. If I could order a custom build based on THAT guitar: it would be 12-frets, Alvarez-Yairi split bridge centered in the lower bout, clear pickguard (or none), satin finish throughout. In my dreams. 3:23. The man. The hat. The guitar. The Joni tune.
I own 3 dreadnoughts, and like them all - because I love Bluegrass! Been offered $1000 for my Martin DM & declined it. The sound is right to me. Just don't know about the price of this beauty.
It sold for $5,629, and we have gotten in a second one here! www.theacousticshoppe.com/shop/Instruments/Guitars/Boucher/p/Boucher-GR-BG-42T-TORRIFIED-AdirondackTORRIFIED-Mahogany-Bluegrass-Goose-Series-Dreadnought-Acoustic-Guitar-1002-x85400119.htm
Who is the first guy playing? He has long sleeve blue shirt. Just love his playing, consequently getting great tone from the Boucher. Please respond, thanks.
That would be our very talented salesman, Corey Kirkland! If you're ever in the Springfield area he plays show quite frequently in the band "Drifters Mile" and we try to feature him when we can on the channel. You can find him on some live streams here and there too!
@@AcousticShoppe Thanks for responding. Tell Corey Rob put a good word in for him, lol. No seriously, I feel he adds sincere verbal content to help sell the product and backs it up with his playing. Feature him more… thanks again
I've got this Ibanez All Torrified, ( th-cam.com/video/vwCOdog-Mgk/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared ) they don't make it anymore, the AVD10, if you can find a used one, grab it, sounds killer. I know it's not the Boucher level, but for the cost it's awesome, wish more builders would do all-torrified, and probably that's the future of guitars...
@@johnchapman4232 I've seen pictures of the wood under an electron microscope, the wood fiber is much weaker so it won't stop aging it will just increase its rate of aging and that means it lasts decades less than a very expensive guitar should!
Personaly i would choose a modern style dreadnought like boucher over the traditional martin. Either atkin or boucher guitars would be my choice. In my opinion the custom made boucher is one of the holy grails of acoustic guitars.
Jp Cormier has recently made access to a Stephen kinniard guitar from nacadochius texas and i cant waite for his review. Are you guys familiar with this boutique luthier.
Clarity, punch drive force, bell like trebles. I do not like a martin style volute at the headstock, and i like the martin style low oval profile. Now if robin boucher would just make a fully torrified slope shoulder j 45 50,35 style guitar his collection might be complete. I do not think that i will ever buy another dreadnought guitar. I own only one dreadnought and it is a chris bozung cb dreadnought made from african mahogany and bear claw engelman spruce.
These are the most comprehensive guitar reviews on TH-cam. Having multiple opinions and players is perfect.
Wow, JP's Both Sides Now is magical.
I love that jp has been on. Combining two of my favorite channels

JP great song selection and tuning to demonstrate the tone.. thanks to Joni Mitchell for writing that song "Both Sides Now"

Extraordinary!
The sustain😮😮😮😮😮
Sound real good to me. J.P. told a story on that thing.
lovely jp..... tuning for both sides now please...

Thr sounding ,,gives COLORS
I want a Boucher 12 fret HG soooo bad. I'll probably end up trading five midrange guitars for one
If I could like this twice I would.
Beautiful sounding guitar, but I am interested next in acquiring a Boucher Parlor after which I will see my Collings 02H. T
Can totally recommend Boucher parlors. I have one and LOVE it!👍👍

@@herbmichael5053 I have HG-64. It is a torrified maple parlor. It has beautiful tone and sustain and is super comfy to play.

Even JP? Not everyone! I have yet to play it, or my Eastman TAS 20th Anniversary guitar!
Dying to have a guitar like this here in the philippines❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Ang play always until i d i e
How would you compare this to a Modern Deluxe Martin D-18?
I'd like one of like that! What about price though?
It was like $6400 or something before it sold.

Hey John. My wife hates it when I say I was right. But I was right. Check your specs in the add. It does say rosewood back and sides. I want one. lol.
Trent..What is that green flat pick you are using?
He was using simply one of our free duralin picks!
It is everything a person would want in a mahogany guitar, including myself, but i bought a martin golden era style d18. Right Corey.

How much is the cost for that guitar??
Not confirmed yet.... estimation....6.500 to 7.500 approx.....
Too much
@@JimmyWilliams-fc8nt Agreed...but let's hope for better price.... 🙂
Nah ITS A GREAT GUITAR NO REGREET AT ALL
Sorry but I won't pay multiple thousands of dollars for a pre aged guitar that might last 10 years before it cracks! NO THANK U!
It is actually proven to be more stable than a non torrified guitar
