I wish I could give you a medal! Thank you thank you for being kind and gentle and for persevering with an obviously traumatised horse. I wish you both many happy years together ❤❤
The title made me tear up with hostility towards any human for such cruelty. The evil in some is so disgusting it makes me forget kindness and go right to justice.
How dare that farrier do such damage to your horse! I hope you spread the word and taught HIM a lesson on how to behave. What a lovely little roan you have-- great work you've done with him! 💙🖤💙
I just blocked him and never made contact again. He had such high reviews from others that I doubt many would have seen the problem with it the way I did unfortunately
@@rudniktheroan I wonder if the high reviews are for horses that do not have troubled backgrounds. If they were trained early to deal with a farrier, there wouldn't be much need for dominance games. Rudnik needed special attention and that guy was incapable of that level of consideration.
Seeing this part of your journey with Rudnik is heart wrenching. Knowing how far he’s come because of your dedication is heartwarming. Thank you for sharing this with us. 😊
i love that you are so gentle with him, that is the only way to treat any animal.
I could not agree more. We do not deserve the love and forgiveness that animals give us. I just wish more people understood this and there would be less neglect and abuse in the world 😢
I think it’s a huge mark of respect when a horse trusts you, not only because horses are prey animals by nature, but they are very gentle, intuitive and aware. I’m glad Rudnik has people he can trust! ❤
Why do people think that forcing something on an animal or punishing them for something out of their control is going to fix anything? Patience and TLC are what’s truly needed
I checked the spelling of that word and it seems to be ambiguous whether farrier or ferrier is the “proper” spelling. I’d always spelled it with the a versus the e.
It’s weird because I agree it should be ‘farrier’ but my phone always seems to auto correct to ‘ferrier’ and I’ve never understood why so I just went with it 😂
I only got to the part where he was tied 3 days...this happens time and time again. There are people on youtube that encourage this type of training. These are people that have been with horses all their lives and consider them as nothing but livestock and that they have to earn their keep. In my mind, I wanted horses to just be...I literally mean Just Be. They could run, they could nap when they wanted to. They were in my care. But, I think what happens is that for those around animals all their lives some may start to see them as just that-Animals. They probably would of never loved animals to begin with, and I don't judge or hate, but I would not trust such a person or care for even being in contact with them. They lack something in them. I am so very happy Rudnik found you, and you him. I also encourage anyone who tru;y loves animals to get training in the field. There are not enough that care. Sadly, there are more farriers and trainers and eve Vets for equines like that cruel farrier, than there is for those who care.
I have a somewhat similar experience, I got my mare when I was roughly 20 years old, she had just turned 5 and had only a little training, mostly traditional and was quite underweight (as well as reactive). She went with me from a neglectful environment where she had a herd to being completely alone aside from one other horse in a paddock next to her that she couldn't touch. To say she was constantly stressed is an understatement. As she gained some healthy weight and muscle from regular exercise I began to work on desensitising her to different things. However I had no idea what I was doing, I attempted to get some help from a "parelli" instructor but their methods didn't work and were harsh, however a few years later I came across a horse behaviourist who helped me behave in a way that created trust between us rather than confusion and fear. I was able to get to a point where she would stop with me at a gate and not barge through, would allow her feet to be handled without wiggling all over the place and would stand comfortably when tied. Now I do nearly everything at liberty with her and I got her a friend (a gelding) five years ago which calmed her right down. Now we're about to move them to their forever home where they will remain for the rest of their lives and will be able to make some more friends (potenially have a bit of a herd again). The amount of trust these two have in me from the amount of effort I've put in is extremely humbling and it really fills my soul up with joy.
100%! They see how hard you worked to show them you mean them no harm and I swear it just makes the bond that much stronger! Thank you so much for sharing that🥰
That farrier is an absolute monster 😢 Did you go home and come back 3 days later? Or did you go see him after his hooves were trimmed and found him in the stall?
Ferrier/farrier. It should be ‘farrier’ but it depends as my phone tends to autocorrect to ferrier and I don’t always catch it. But they are the ones who trim and maintain a horses hooves. Not like a blacksmith who does shoes as Rudnik is barefoot so he has a farrier
*Why didn’t you call the police for a “professional” doing harm to your animals? I know I’d be on the phone ASAP with the police to get this person arrested. If he’s willing to say this to you as a stranger, IMAGINE WHAT HE DOES TO HIS OWN ANIMALS OR OTHER CLIENTS ANIMALS!!!!!* I’m not the type to allow MONSTERS to PERPETUATE THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR!!!I’d find out where he lives( I can quite easily with just a name) and I’d have him investigated. AINT NO ONE HARMING MY PETS, THEY’RE MY ONLY CHILDREN!!!
what moron thinks not feeding or watering for 3 days is any way to train a horse? Potential for the horse to get colic! A good farrier who is also a horseman (or woman) is invaluable. Such a farrier is going to be quiet, observant and efficient. I'm too old and inflexible to regularly trim the horses now (wasn't much good at it anyway being self taught) but my farrier is brilliant and always makes a fuss of each horse even if any for a few seconds.

I couldn’t agree more. Even just knowing people are out there mistreating animals like this, it breaks my heart 😭
All it takes is a little kindness and patience. You will have the love of your life.

Great work with Rudnik. Never seen a horse sit down like a dog before, very funny! Isn't the word farrier instead of ferrier? Thanks again

No! I found him in the stall within half an hour of it happening - as soon as I had help to get him out I did and he was back out to his pasture!

Because your “HONSE” is quite a “GOOF BALL”…… to be “HONEST”…..
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
farrier
