  • The final months of the War of 1812 were marked by increasingly fierce fighting. One of the bloodiest battles ever fought in Canada took place at Lundy's Lane in present-day Niagara Falls. [This video was originally produced in 2012]

    Such an underrated battle in the USA, one thing to note is just how bloody this battle was compared to others in the Napoleonic Wars. 1 in every 6 men were a casualty of this battle. While the battle of Eylau 1807 (Infamous for being bloody) while involving 20x more manpower was Just as bloody (when scaled) to Lundy's Lane. Crazy battle

    How can you say this was the first time the British forces broke. What about the Battle of Lake Erie in the previous year and subsequently the Battle of the Thames when Techumseh was killed.

    1:08 "Lieutenant" is pronounced "leftenant" in UK and Commonwealth armies

    Interesting, brief video. One minor correction: Burlington Heights is incorrectly marked on the map; that is actually the "Beach Strip". I've seen it marked like this on another map, and I suspect that was your source.
