The Capture of York (April 1813)

- As morning dawned on April 27, 1813, an American naval fleet landed on the banks of Lake Ontario near the capital of York. As a strategic location, capturing Fort York would be a great success for the Americans. Seizing the fort would cement their dominance on Lake Ontario. [This video was originally produced in 2013]

And the royal standard which flew over York was taken and is still on possession of the US. Currently at the USNA. Only royal standard to be captured

You do realise that this was a part of the War of 1812 for which the Canadians won.
