The Capture of York (April 1813)

As morning dawned on April 27, 1813, an American naval fleet landed on the banks of Lake Ontario near the capital of York. As a strategic location, capturing Fort York would be a great success for the Americans. Seizing the fort would cement their dominance on Lake Ontario. [This video was originally produced in 2013]
